Oooh MAF less than a week until the big day now!! We'll all be there - virtually of course!!

Bagsy taking the confetti!! What are the rest of you taking?!

xx

Ok girls - so sorry - been really busy!!

So, I used the OPKs last month and got darkish lines (but not as dark as they're supposed to be) on two Sundays in a row!! Apparently you can OV twice in one month but it's rare so I wouldn't trust them. But from the first one, we BDd every other day and I got PG so I don't know when we conceived but you can't go wrong if you do it three times a week apparently. It actually has a much higher conception rate than using OPKs and checking CM and stuff.

That's what the experts say anyway. Don't really need to do it every day either because the men's little critters can live between 48 and 72 hours and you want to make sure they're the best quality, so a little break is always good to build up new stock!! So, every other day is fine (and worked for us - even though the little Pip didn't want to stick ).

I think bleeding's finally stopped so we'll be BDing tonight and then every other night until eternity or PG, whichever comes first!!

xxx

Hope everyone has a good weekend, with much bding and less obsessing.

MAF - Counting down to your wedding and hope to see pictures on here shortly. P.s I forgot to say any child with 4 people loving it in my eyes will be extreemly lucky and anyone who says different must be jealous!!!

Here is to having some HUGE and sticky BFPs on this thread

summerbird · 08/08/2008 14:24

oo go for it BSL i am thinking of not bothering with the OPKs, i have this romantic dream of it all happening through floaty flowers, summer nights and soft focus! or if all else fails - wheres my temp sticks!!!

makingafamily · 08/08/2008 14:05

oh good luck BSL

bluestarlavender · 08/08/2008 13:57

I've just had quite a strong positive OPK on the ebay cheapies!!! (first proper one, altho it does explain why I've been getting very faint lines the last couple of days) Grrr...I think I'm OVing about now! Why isn't DH working from home, when I need him!!

I've officially decided I hate OPK sticks! Altho if I get PG bvecause of this positive...maybe I'll need to take that back!

I just can't be bothered with work today. I have loads to do as well but it's Friday

Hope you all have lovely weekends planned

heverhoney1 · 08/08/2008 13:34

the cheepie ones have done nothing but give me a very very pale line so if you are worrying then I am worrying too!!! I want to stay away from OPKs as I think they are bad for me and they heap way way too much pressure on. I think monitoring CM is prob better but I am terribly impatient and I dont think I will be a ble to keep away.

summerbird · 08/08/2008 13:28

LOL i am reading our EWCM stories whilst eating my lunch PMSL!!

I am really anal with the washing so my DH leaves me to it - otherwise i rearrange it for him!!

bluestarlavender · 08/08/2008 13:27

Hever - ebay cheapies. If AF comes this cycle, I'm not sure what I'll do next cycle. I was talking to DH yesterday and was thinking about not bothering with OPK sticks as I find them distracting. But it sounds like some of the ones from Boots/clearblue might be better for me. TBH I've found this month a bit stressful with all the temping and panicking over CM and also my confusion over what is and what isn't a negative OPK result. How are you doing??

heverhoney1 · 08/08/2008 13:09

BSL - What opks are you using?? the 2WW will kill me!! I know my chances are small to none but will I be able to resist the testing - ummmm NO

crunchynutter · 08/08/2008 13:05

that had so many errors I'm sorry! This bloody predictive text stuff is great sometimes... I really should check more carefully before I post! Xx

bluestarlavender · 08/08/2008 13:05

Heverhoney - I think we can probably hold hands on the 2WW...FF says I OV'ed on Tuesday, but I suspect it might be wrong and could be kinda now(ish). Lots of EWCM and my cervix is open and soft (eeuuuwwww TMI! Sorry). Still no strong positive OPKs, and that's been worrying me.

you ladies are very lucky! My Dh is a great cook and really enjoys it so does all the cooking but I am left with allthe housework he tidied occasionally but I don't think he even knows where the kitchen/bathroom cleaners and polish are kept! I have to constantly tell him to use my lovely washing baskets too-I'm sorry to say he just drops clothes anywhere he is slowly getting better though! I think he is tying now LOL my nagging is working! I think it's probably my own fault for being obsessive though-he used to do washing and he'd do it wrong so I took over and if he did try to clean my kitchen for me once and I ended up re doing xx

I HATE ironing with a passion. I'm lucky that DH helps so much with the housework (if I'm honest he may do more than me but don't tell him I said that lol )

Crunchy and Hever hoping your DHs are ok for tonight

Thanks for the advice BSL

I've had a really wierd feeling in my tummy today, a kinda fluttery feeling. It feels like I'm a kid waiting for Christmas!!

Guys I will be sure to log back on here either way after I've tested - still holding out for Sunday morning tho so I may be the only one here!!! (and if I'm honest am expecting a BFN but you have to have hope right???)

bluestarlavender · 08/08/2008 12:28

Saz - Don't get the digital ones...they are less sensitive apparently. I would go for a clearblue normal one....oooh so excited for you!!

MAF - yes I think Clearblue were doing a clinical study with their monitors, the study is full now though...let us know how you get on with it!

Hever - Oh no...I wonder what caused that?? He must have pulled something down there!

Crunchy - I too am scared of the piles of baby clothes to wash and iron. My DH is great with the washing (I am rubbish), but he rarely needs to do any ironing - the joys of non-iron shirts!

and the more money I would have spent on super over obsessing amount of OV sticks!!! Grr. Am very upset really dont want DP to know that though am trying not to be too hard on him but I just think "A little sore" is nothing compared to the "Sore" I will be going through if we ever to get to the DC stage!! And he should at least try to deal with it!!!!

Sorry know I am unreasonable
