Yep, I am wearing my virtual fancy frock. Anyone fancy a sneaky glass of champers??

Vix67 · 14/08/2008 12:58

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for making me feel so welcome

Crunchy I went to the doctors after about 6 months of trying, i was spotting all of the time in between periods, so my GP sent me to specialist at the hospital and he booked me in for a laporoscopy. This was in April and they found mild endometriosis, so not too bad as some people have much severe cases. They said it shouldn't affect me conceiving!! But i still worry!!
They have been testing my blood for signs of ovulation since January and gave me chlomid in July.
I have just had my first glass of grapefruit juice LOL had Tesco deliver my shopping last night with 3 cartons of it!!
I get my blood tested tomorrow to see if the chlomid has worked, won't find out until next week tho

Is anyone else on chlomid??

Sorry TMI.... but my nipples have been really sore over the last few days, I am on d20 and have shown sign of ovulation on home ovulation kits!! Ive heard sore nipples are a sign you could be pregnant but have also heard it is side effects of chlomid, so am trying not to get my hopes up!!!!

xx

crunchy lolololololol PMSL a million times over!!! that is so funny! My DH catches me on the home PC and always ribs me about being on MN - that has made me feel so much better!!! at least i am not the only addict...

are we all dressed up for MAFs big day then? my prom dress is all ready (i cant get ready too soon as i will spill coffee/champagne/pimms down it!)

Bonifacio · 14/08/2008 12:53

Hello everyone!! How is everyone going!

MAF Have a great day with your family and friends and make sure you put some lovely pics up!!

Crunchy I'm 5ft 2 I can't afford to be a drop over 8st or I look like a beached whale!! BBut I am cheerful because I am being proactive. I swam todday and went to the gym yesterday and am really eating carefully, I basically have 10 days to lose about a stone, hmm what do you think my chances are!!

My mum is staying with us yes, in our house, for 12 days woohoo

Right I am off she wants some desert after her dinner

crunchynutter · 14/08/2008 12:05

I have had a funny week to be honest. Up and down! I feel crap then cheer myself up cos I conince myself it's PMT, but then there's still no AF! It's quite depressing really expecting something several times a day and getting nothing! My DH puts it into perspective though. I suppsoe he's right, he thinks we should give it at least a year before we panic or speak to doctors or anything as we were told it could take that long after depo anyway so I need to stop obsessing and try to be positve and happy LOL. Makes me feel a bit naughty being on here but at least I know you all know how im feeling-nobody else would!

Funny story LOL last night we had a very romantic evening then went to bed
DH: I'm just going to the toilet I will be back in a minute
Me: (big kiss sexy look) oh don't be too long
DU: (returns from the toilet cuddles up to me) I don't believe it! I've caught you! Get off bloody mumsmet!
Me: (hiding my mobile and mumsnet under the blanket trying to discreetly check if I'd missed anything)

We had a good laugh over it but I really didn't think he'd notice LOL

Still got our BD in

eth37 · 14/08/2008 11:47

X posts crunchy - you sound like you're feeling better today. Got any plans? I MUST do some ironing... Gross

eth37 · 14/08/2008 11:46

It's all so confusing, isn't it! I was optimistic last month but think we might have stopped too early. I think DH was out for a few nights and I think last BD before OV was CD12... Probably too early. Although I am quite bamboozled by the whole thing 'cos I heard yesterday of a girl who conceived on the last day of her period!.
summerbird PMSL at the 'excess' stuff - it really is quite a disgusting business, isn't it!! I always worry too much is falling out afterwards and quite often wear knickers after to try and keep it in... (gross - so sorry!!!)
We are off to Chamonix (just checked weather - 11 and rain - excellent!) for 5 days then to Antibes where we're staying with some friends (25 and sunny, hoorah) for 6 days. Bit paranoid 'cos I had a drunken conversation with said friends about TTC and so they now pretty much know... DH doesn't know about the conversation though as he would be mortified!!

crunchynutter · 14/08/2008 11:41

hello all! We are all getting close to hols-how exciting!

Saz I must admit , I'm like you as in I don't seem to have much cm and the little I notice never seems to change I either just don't get the whole thing or I am lacking something! Anyway, not surprising update from me-still no AF, boobs are still sore, not much else going on (although I think the coldsore is healing!)

I did have a very romantic night with my DH last night though so I'm happy! Xx

summerbird · 14/08/2008 11:39

THanks BSL that sounds like a plan!!

bluestarlavender · 14/08/2008 11:08

Summerbird - with regards to what to do with the extra stuff , BD just before sleeping and take a toilet roll. I would just try to mop up any excess, but try to sleep. I know that sounds icky, but that way as much as possible will hopefully stay inside! You can always take a shower in the mornng!

Eth - I agree with Saz, every other day will be fine!! That's what Dawn did and it worked for her!!

thanks for the advice BSL i will make sure i pack my fleece! need to start packing in a bit actually, i love that part. where are you off to eth ? have a fab time.

BSL my DH likes Pushing Daisies but he also Sky+'s House with Hugh Laurie as an american which is bizarre! but a good programme nonetheless. We also Sky+ Family Guy and American Dad for a bit of silliness. I agree that there is not much on at the moment. I am looking forward to Series 3 of Heroes.

i really havent a clue about when to BD, i reckon i should ovulate on Sunday but as we are camping this weekend i am not sure how it is going to work out as we should now be at it every day until monday, (warning extreme TMI coming up!! ) so what do i do about the - erhem - excess stuff whilst in a tent????? at home i can rush to the bathroom to clean up no probs, but (OMG am so now!) it is a bit further to the toilet blocks in a tent!!! I might just wear pants or something. Right then byyyee!

saz007 · 14/08/2008 10:53

TBH I don't know when I actually ov either. I dont feel any pain (I dont think) and I am still completely bamboozled by the whole CM thing!! I don't get a lot (sorry TMI I know and there's more!) and I don't think it changes much

BSL oooh that's good news. I might have to go for an every day session in the week I think ov occurs in....DH shouldn't mind too much Even if we're a bit out then the every other day should help, right?

bluestarlavender · 14/08/2008 10:50

Eth - it's very common to have a few days of EWCM after OV

BSL x

OP posts:
eth37 · 14/08/2008 10:44

Thanks saz and bsl. I still am not 100% sure when I ov. I was monitoring the old CM last month and the last day of EWCM was on CD17 -I hope this doesn't mean I actually ov on CD17 because with a 27 day cycle that would only be a 10 day LH phase and i read that is atually too short to implant.... So hopefully I get a couple of days EWCM after OV. Do you think this is possible?

bluestarlavender · 14/08/2008 10:38

Eth - I would definitely go every other day from when AF is finished! Plus, (and this what another girl did on the Bonkers thread to get PG) from about 3 days before you think you'll OV go for once a day until the day after OV. I was trying this (no idea of success yet!) this month, but OV'ed much later than I thought I would! The important thing is to have lots of troopers around for as soon as the egg is released. If you start a little early or go a little late, then you won't miss the egg. Anyhow as I say, it worked for someone else, I don't know if it's going to work for me...but it might be worth a try if you and DH are okay about BDing 5 days in a row...

BSL I loved Gossip Girl!! I thought I was a bit odd at first as I thought it was a teen show (or at least thats what DH calls it) but I dont care!! Hope the next season starts soon. My Sky+ must haves currently are Dexter, CSI, Spooks code 9 (which I'll admit I havent watched yet but I love Spooks - Rupert Penry-Jones - yum!)

Eth not TMI at all. We're planning on starting almost as soon as AF goes on her merry way this month! Apparently according to some website I found, and going on my last 5 cycles, I can be fertile from day 8 day 19 (actually it said from day 4 but I think that is pushing things a wee bit!!!) so I'm not taking an chances this month. Am planning on BDing every other day until after the ov time. I think we stopped a bit early this month....poor DH!!!

eth37 · 14/08/2008 10:26

PS, TMI question here. When do you start BDing to ttc after AF have gone? So far this month (really fear this is TMI!!) we have managed CD5 and CD7 (am CD9 now) do you think these are a waste of time?! In the ttc sense of things!! As in, is CD5 and 7 far too early? I think I will ovulate next Tues so am guessing it is.... WHat does anyone else do?

eth37 · 14/08/2008 10:25

MAF have a wonderful day!! It is quite sunny here, so fingers crossed!!! And enjoy V

saz sorry about AF.... But deffo enjoy the BDing fest! I understand about getting teary too. I felt awful last week when I got mine, really disheartened and sorry for myself.

B did you buy anything nice?

Dawn how is the back?

Crunchy, BSL,summerbird Hever and all our new ladies (plus anyone i've forgotten, sorry!!) Have a good Thursday.... I hae checked in online and printed boarding passes - yay!!!

bluestarlavender · 14/08/2008 10:21

Saz - I'm sorry, hun! I was hopeful that it might have been an implantation bleed!

Okay girlies, I need some advice. I normally skyplus quite a few shows that I like watching and suddenly I'm down to 1! The Ghost Whisperer! Can anyone recommend anything good...? I like stuff like Men in Trees, Gossip Girl, Pushing up Daisies, Supernatural. I use to love Buffy and Angel, but obvuously they are well over. Any recommendations??

BSL AF is still really light but I do believe she is here to stay. The cramping is still here too, which is unusual, I had to take a painkiller last night and have them with me today too
Stay strong on the 2ww lady!!!

Heverhoney I hear what you?re saying! And this is the place for a virtual cry!! You guys are a great support
I think I put too much pressure on myself in expecting it to happen in month 1 (totally forgetting about DH along the way oops!) and I got a bit teary yesterday.
I?m over myself now and am excited for AF to bugger off so the BDing can recommence, only this time DH has agreed to start BDing sooner and not tail off after the predicted ov day ? hurray!! (sorry if TMI this early in the morning ladies )

Bubbap hope you had a great evening with the girls

Summerbird have a top holiday

MAF have the bestest day and enjoy the festival!! Cant wait to see the pics!! Boo about AF, but at least you can start sooner than planned

Hi to Dawn, Eth, Crunchy* and anyone else I?ve missed - sorry not intentional!!

bluestarlavender · 13/08/2008 21:54

Hi everyone,

I've been trying to stay away so I don't obsess on the 2WW.

Need to say good luck and have a wonderful day tomorrow, to MAF!! Hav a lovely two weeks and great honeymoon!! I hope the weather is good for you and DP! Grrr about the AF arriving just before your big day...why do things always happen like that?? But it's good news for CD1 cycle 1!!

Crunchy - so glad the door got fixed! and didn't cost £350, that would have been ouch!!

Saz - how you doing, hun?? Has AF arrived properly, or are you just spotting?

B - you do sound loads better today! I hope you had a great day with your mum! I love shopping with my sis and mum! It's always a lovely day out!

Big welcome to Vix! We are getting a nice big group now on this thread! And it's so nice that you girls who've been reading want to join us! I belong to two threads and wouldn't want to be anywhere else! Well done Dawn for starting this!

Summerbird - I'm so jealous of you going off to Llangennith this weekend! i hope you have lovely weather. Just a piece of advice, make sure you have a few sweaters. Even if the weather is sunny, the beach can be quite cold and windy, plus the nights can get cold!

Dawn - how's the back?? I hope you're not still suffering!

Heverhoney - I read your post and know exactly what you mean about needing some time out! It's really tough TTC! Emotionally draining! I'm glad you're back with us now though and please never feel that you can't come here and have a 'virtual cry'. We're all here for you!

Eth - oooh holiday packing, how exciting! I'm rubbish at packing and always take far too much stuff with me! But yay for the holiday!

Bubbap - hope you're having a lovely girlie evening! A couple of glasses of vino won't hurt too much! yum yum!

As for me, as you might have guessed, I'm hating the 2WW! Symptoms-wise, I have the same weird cramps I had last cycle. I had my IUD removed at the end of June and now seem to be getting weird cramping from just after OV through to AF! It's niggly and annoying. Apart from that, I have loads of creamy CM (yuck!), but not alot else. I think I'm 4DPO so I guess it's early days.

looking forward to our virtual party tomorrow!

heverhoney1 · 13/08/2008 20:20

Hey everyone!!!

I just wanted to nip in and say MAF have a WONDERFUL day tomorrow.

I am now officially trying not to obsess so much. The pressure got a bit too much last week and I got very teary. I am much better now though xxxxxx
