Hey All,

BSL - Sorry about BFN hun, but fingers crossed for DH's results today!! Hopefully things will be OK.

Summer - I'm hoping that the Medium is right for you. I'm seeing another one on Monday next week which is quite scary... Hoping I'll get some good news. Work is still pretty horrendous to be honest but at least I've got a job...

So, now DPO7 and temp has dropped slightly, wasn't sure whether that was normal or not. it was the same yesterday as the day before and then dropped slightly today. Really odd twinges and aches "down there" and general feeling of complete exhaustion. I remember having that last time I was PG, just for a couple of days after implantation, but trying not to get my hopes up.

I hope that everyone else is Ok, it's nearly Friday!!

Hi guys,

Just got back from the GP. Had a really good doctor today, who went back through DH's notes and stuff. He told us that actually there shouldn't be any problems with regard to DH's undescended testes, as they were actually not up in the abdomen, but lower and the operation was just to bring them fully into the scotum. This means DH is not at increased risk of testicular cancer and also shouldn't (in theory) have issues with fertility.

However, the actual results of the sperm test were not so good. The sample volume was fine, motility is low (30% - a normal range is 50 - 100%) and the normal sperm count was 0%.

This is clearly bad, but the doctor said he thought that the result was very very strange, as he has never seen a 0% for normal sperm.

Basically we discussed what the next steps are and DH is to repeat the test in about 2 months. He has to change to cotton boxers. The Doc said to keep TTC and see what these results come back with. Next steps if the results are the same will be a referral. I think we will have some options, but it's a wait and see game now.

It hasn't really sunk in yet...but I feel some relief that I wasn't going mad and was right to think there was a problem.

I will do a better catch up later,

BSL x

fingers crossed BSL i am gonna be thinking of you this morning and sending vibes that everything is going to be just fine! about your BFN, but keep positive! x

bluestarlavender · 25/09/2008 08:38

Morning all,

Just popped on to say, BFN for me this morning. Expected, but I'm still gutted! AF twinges have started...so everything is on track for AF to start tomorrow.

DH had a message to call the GP so the results are back. We are going up there in a min, as although the phone lines were supposed to be open at 8am...they still aren't. We have walk in clinic every morning. So are just going to go and see someone.

That's it from me.

I'll do a proper update later.

Hey dawn i was wondering where you got to! so are things settling down at work at the mo? at least you are still working and able to buy your lovely palace! i am v excited for you.

wildfig i totally agree that it is annoying that i spent my entire 20s and early 30s trying NOT to get PG and am now struggling.

BSL i have to ring the hospital on CD1 of next AF then they will get me in within 10 days when it needs to be done.

A girl at work told me today that she went to see a medium last night who told her that he work colleague who is TTC (er - me!) and has had investigative work on fertility(moi!) needs to chill as it will happen in the new year! Now i dont usually believe these but she said loads of other spot on things, i know i am being daft but all this worrying about my tubes has taken over a bit and this little message gave me a bit of comfort! silly me

tobeornottobe you go girl - and enjoy your weekend!!!

welcome thandeka to our lovely thread!

linwin your poor sister, i am sending hugs over your way! she will be fine, tha happened to a friend of mine and she was sore for a little while but soon got back onher feet.

wishin i havent heard of these remedies but might give parsley tea a go! am always up for trying new things (by the way whenever is see your name i start singing that song!!!)

DawnAS · 24/09/2008 19:36

Hi all,

Sorry that I've been away for so long, work has been horribly ridiculous and is just set to get worst, but at least I've got a job!

I won't have the time to send personal notes to everyone, but just to say Crunchy and Masala, so sorry for your loss. That sounds so awful.

Well, we're still waiting for confirmation that we've got our mortgage offer before we move forward on the house.

Also, finally got confirmation from FF that I ovulated on CD16 so I'm now DPO6. No real symptoms to speak of (none that I'm not imagining anyway )!! So don't think it's our month this month. Temped for the first time this month though and was fascinated with the way my temperature soared after OVing. It leveled off today though for the first time since OVing and I expected it to continue shooting up, but then having looked at others charts, it is quite common. It will likely shoot up again tomorrow. What the does mean, I hope, is that AF may now be in a 30 day cycle instead of a 35 which will be a great improvement.

Welcome to all the new people and I hope that everyone is Ok.

Hope all the beans are good too!!

wildfig · 24/09/2008 18:56

Linwin, your poor sister! That kind of puts things in perspective (and Crunchy & Masala ) BSL I know exactly how you feel; after all those years of trying not to get pregnant, it seems ridiculous that it's so hard when you really, really want it! Fingers crossed the tests come back soon and with good results - sometimes it's just time, simple (!) as that. And, er, lots of practice...

Summerbird: Cycle 7 CD27 12DPO
Bluestar: Cycle 3 CD 33 (of 35 this cycle), 12DPO
Linwin: Cycle 3 CD 29
Thandeka Cycle 1 CD 25 10DPO
Wildfig: Cycle 4 CD3

ToBeOrNotToBe · 24/09/2008 15:00

Hi guys - just checking in with you all. Big hugs needed all round I think.

AF arrived for me too today. I actually feel better for just knowing one way or the other AND it does mean I can go out with my friends and enjoy a few drinks this weekend

It also means I can start to chart my temp, etc, on FF!

Cycle 2 here I come.

The kebab was fab last night - by the way

wishinanhopin · 24/09/2008 14:50

Hey Ladies. Hope everyone is okay!
Wondering if any gals have used black kohosh to enduce menstration?? I have to have a period before I go back on clomid, and so far, nada.
I was looking online for natural remedy's rather than going on Provera again.
I've also read parsley tea can help. Anyone heard of this.

Baby dust to all
xoxoxoxo

Thandeka · 24/09/2008 12:36

Hello can I join in? Complete newbie to mumsnet and getting there with stuff:

Summerbird: Cycle 7 CD27 12DPO
Bluestar: Cycle 3 CD 33 (of 35 this cycle), 12DPO
Linwin: Cycle 3 CD 29
Thandeka Cycle 1 CD 25 10DPO

I feel really nauseous today and have had a funny stich like sensation in my womb area for several days now but I think it is all my head. BFN today but I know I was testing to early! (I'm amazed I managed to last until 10DPO until I did the test!)

Good luck to everyone else TTC this month.

Linwin · 24/09/2008 12:27

Hi girls,

I'd just like to add to all the kind words for Crunchy and Masala, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

My poor little sister has gone through hell in the last couple of days, she was in labour from monday afternoon until yesterday lunchtime, the baby was back to back so she was in agony and then they ended up having to do an emergency c-section. Then this morning too much bleeding so down to theatre for a D&C and now shes in intensive care waiting on a blood transfusion. I just want to be able to do something to help her. On a positive note, the baby is a perfectly healthy 8 pound little boy and seems content as anything.

I've kind of lost track of who is testing when as well so I've added my stats to the list to get us started.

Summerbird: Cycle 7 CD27 12DPO
Bluestar: Cycle 3 CD 33 (of 35 this cycle), 12DPO
Linwin: Cycle 3 CD 29

bluestarlavender · 24/09/2008 12:19

I know you're right, Summerbird, but today I feel like I want to sit in my puddle of mud and wallow. I know it's just PMT, I'll be right in a few days!

Blardy test results...why does everything have to take so long!! When did you have your x-ray??

BSL x

OP posts:
summerbird · 24/09/2008 12:00

Thanks guys, but I am 99% sure I'm not PG. I think we are going to need some help TTC. We really need DH's test results back.

Vix - sorry about AF!! If nothing else, it's just horrid and painful!

Although I've been trying to keep upbeat about all this, I just want to cry today. Why is TTC so hard for us? I just never thought I might be someone who had to have IVF or other assisted conception help. I always thought it would be easy, cos super-fertility is in my family...

I know we haven't had the results back yet, but I am pretty sure the reults aren't going to be good. I just want to get it over and done with so we can move on to making decisions about what comes next.

Sorry for the rant, but I think I have major PMT today!

Vix67 · 24/09/2008 10:54

Crunchy and masala sos sorry for what you are going thrugh at the moment. Ur uncle will be in a better place now xx

My horrid AF arrived this morning so am gonna get very drunk this weekend and make the most of not being PG boo hoo!!

BSL hope ur dreams come tru ... literally!! And we don't end up being cycle buddies ( in the nicest kind of way!! )
Good Luck with the test tomorrow!!

Morning everyone else xx

bluestarlavender · 24/09/2008 09:15

Oh forgot to add earlier, I had horrid dreams last night! I dreamt I got a BFP and me and DH were so happy and shocked! Great, til you wake up and realise it's not real. Then I dozed off again and dreamt that I'd woken up and tested and got a BFP...of course again it was a dream.

I'm not taking it as a sign, because this happened last month too! Being good, I still haven't tested. Last month I did and got a BFN.

I am going to use my freebie test tomorrow morning. We need to give feedback on it by some time in October, so I want to do that. I don't expect a positive result, so if it is, it would be great, if it's negative...well it's what I expect.

Morning all,

Crunchy and Masala I too would like to add my sincere condolences to your family for what your going through. I lost my mum at the beginning of the year, so my heart just goes out to you all. So and just makes you realise how important family actually is. Love and hugs to you both.

Hi to everyone and a warm welcome to the newbies, you've joined the best and luckiest thread! IMHO anyway

Well I'm starting to feel queasy as hell today, but I don't know if it's my cold that's adding to this as I thought it was a bit early. I'm 6w today (according to my dates anyway LOL)

Soz for the quick and brief post but I'm sneaking on the net

Fingers crossed for BFPs this month

bluestarlavender · 24/09/2008 08:59

Morning guys,

Crunchy - here's that link: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/1366/606566 it's basically a thread on how to stimulate ovulation.

Summer - haha! My three posts were caused by the computer freezing and me getting really frustrated! I must have hit enter three times! I think BT are upgrading broadband and there has been a little bit of weirdness on the line in the last 24 hours.

Crunchy and Masala - I am so so sorry for what happened to your uncle and what you and your family are going through.

crunchy and masala that is terribly sad and i am so sorry for your family, any bereavement is but these circumstances are even sadder so i am thinking of you xx

i have missed quite a bit today on here and am off to bed now but the only symptom i can spot (quite literally) is a huge AF spot on my chin! am therefore drinking wine! i could do with cutting down on that actually but as BSL says i am making the most of it before any kind of fertility treatment or pregnancy!!

on that note BSL are you sozzled or do you just like repeating yourself 3 times!!

night night girls and sleep well crunchy

aww BSL a link would be fantastic if you know how. I am indeed in my iPhone! Have jus finished some planning and come to bed.

Sorry to be rude with my sis but I had only just found out. Quite a complicated story but basically my uncle has cancer and the police have turned up today. They have found him dead in a bedsit miles away. He was supposed to becoming home to be with all the family Thursday. It's just so sad to think he was alone and I don't know yet how long he had passed before they found the body. I feel horrible and so awful for eveyone involved. It's not how he wanted things
