Morning Ladies

Well although i had no positive OPK's and the ClearBlue monitor was saying nothing and no EWCM after some advice from you wonderful mumsnetters thought we'd get the boys ahem round before they headed to see Madge so i guess our TTC journey officially started last night WOW

Feeling really calm but also really excited this morning if that makes any sense and on a positive note this morning got a high (not a peak) reading on the ClearBlue (still no +OPK's or EWCM) So am really pleased we yoghurt potted yesterday

Oh Summer, i'm jealous, i'm gonna order some preseed now. What site did you use??

Hever i've got everything crossed for you this morning

Vix you should be able to get a ClearBlue Monitor and testing sticks for about £70 on ebay. Its where i got mine

Happy Baby Making Bank Bonking Holidays Ladies

summerbird · 23/08/2008 10:45

errrr right yes i am a bit 'fick' it was a free PG test not a monitor - calm down ladies, no calm down stop demanding free monitors from mumsnet

i know nothing about EWCM as i get it anyway, like all the time, i tried to get it sorted out at the hospital (took 5 years of nagging my GP) but they didnt make much of it, just said i had to live with it. So when i see you all getting excited about getting EWCM (and actually trying grapefruit juice to bring it on) on here i just think how lucky you are to actually WANT to have it. Sorry that was a bit of a whinge wasnt it? now onto exciting things....

MY PRESEED HAS JUST ARRIVED - WOOOOO HOOOOOO! bring it on baby!

have a good day ladies!

fairywing · 23/08/2008 09:38

ok so i'm confused again. According to something i just read women in their 20's can have EWCM for up to 5 days before ovulating and these are the best days to TTC. I thought it was just for one day and that was when you were ovulating so it was best to bd in the run upto this for best chance but was still possible on the day of ovulating. So in that case we are still in the running if we make the most of this BH weekend. Oh it really is ups and downs this TTC, i can't get my head around it all!

Morning everyone! I am putting myself at Cycle 1 as we didn't actually "try" last month. I hope thats not cheating!!

My mum has left this afternoon, though from the looks of the weather here she will be delayed!

I have all my clothes and stuff out ready to pack for our vacation tomorrow! I'm very excited! Its supposed to be 40 degrees in Muscat at the minute! And bright blue skies!! How lovely!!

DP is at a conference all day so I am sitting on the PC relaxing and listening to Frank Sinatra. Bliss

BSL Hvae a great holiday! I am sure you will be able to connect in Singapore we never usually have a problem!

fairywing · 23/08/2008 08:40

Hi again everyone. Well this morning theres more EWCM so perhaps i didn't ovulate when i thought i had. Unfortunately DH hasn't been in the mood for any bding for the last couple of days and i'm not going to push it at this early stage so i guess things aren't likely to happen for us this month. I will try seducing him later but i think the last couple of days are when we should have been getting busy aren't they. Oh well never mind i guess the first month would be pretty good going really and there is still a slim chance...

Good luck to Hever
and good vibes for everyone else

Vix67 · 23/08/2008 08:36

My spotting stopped last night so am now on cd 28 but may change to cycle d1 , i will keep an eye on it and will update my chart a bit later!!

bluestarlavender · 22/08/2008 22:08

Hi guys,

At the airport and waiting for our flight. We got delayed a bit, as a passenger on the incoming flight was seriously ill and they had to divert to Dubai!!!

Anyhow, I wanted to ask Summerbird how you got the free clearblue monitor!! I want one!!

We've been drinking wine in the lounge and had our champagne, without oysters unfortunately as the seafood bar had run out!! Grrr!

Should be off to the gate in about 25 mins...so I'm gonna say good luck to Hever for tomorrow's testing!

Dawn- I am still holding out, I have 4 HPTs now!! 2 FR and 2 Digital!!! Want to test tom morning but I dont really know what I expect the outcome to be. I had a really high temp this morning but I have been having really bad af pains and a backache. If I am pregnant I am worried something is not as it should be because my (.)(.) are less painful than they were.

Grapefruit juice WORKS. Seriously. Although I don't know about temping; I keep waking up an hour before I usually do, taking my temperature, wondering if I should wait until 7am, then wonder if I moved around too much finding the thermometer, then take it again at 7.15am and wonder if it's 'right' and which one is 'better' - is appalling to be trying to cheat at temperature charts, for God's sake. DH has taken to asking me 'how my temperature is?' each morning, as if I'm likely to say, it's up to 43 degrees, and that means I'm definitely cooking a baby in here. I know all the books say not to tell your DH the details about your temping/baby-making skullduggery, but to be honest, I think he's actually more excited about the science-projectiness about temp charts than he is about limitless BDing. I haven't mentioned cervical positions or anything. I bet I'd come home to find he'd bought some kind of microscope.

bluestarlavender · 22/08/2008 16:01

So guys, I have 5 mins in the office before I have to leave for the airport!! Although I'm taking a laptop and blackberry, I have no idea of connectivity in Singapore, and will be 7 hours ahead! So I might be around a bit less for a week or so.

Goodluck to everyone waiting to test this weekend!! (but no early testing, girls!!) I have my fingers crossed for someone to join Flirty! Goodluck too to all the ladies coming up to OV...get BDing or yoghurt potting!

Flirty - hope the bean continues to be good!

I will let you all know if I have any good news next week!

Hi All,

Sorry haven't been in touch the last 24 hours, really crap time at work. Redundancy exercise that I'm heading up and trying to get all the quotes and letters out is a bloody nightmare!!!

Oh well, back to it, thought I'd just have a quick check through and see how things are going.

Waiting to hear on how hever is doing and whether you're re-testing.

Hope bean is Ok Flirty.

Big hugs and kisses to you all and I'll talk more later!!

bluestarlavender · 22/08/2008 14:31

Hey Vix, I can't think of anything you've missed! But I would watch your OPK sticks and monitor for OV day and make sure you BD enough afterwards too! If I'm not PG, that's something I think we might have done wrong. We BD'ed to OV day and not beyond. Saying that poor DH was knackered as we'd BD'ed loads in the run up and then OV was late by 4 days...so we had to keep going!

Fingers crossed for you!

Vix67 · 22/08/2008 14:00

aaw thanks girls, i dont know what id do without you all!! My dp is great and handles all of this in his own way, and that is by not talking about it much!! He will listen and give advice when I need him to but to him its not the first thing he thinks about and the last thing he thinks about!!
He has had to do tests to check his swimmers and he found that stressful enough lol!!

My mum is great though , so im very lucky in that way!!

I'll keep checking my AF and if the wicked witch gets red by the end of today i'll change my chart to CD1.

Im gonna stay positive for next month, and im going to use all of the below to make sure i do get a BFP!!!!

  1. Drink grapefruit juice
  2. Have lots of BDing especially from days 8 - 20
  3. Use pre seed
  4. Use clearblue fertility monitor
  5. Use OV sticks
  6. Use basale thermometer
  7. Keep legs up in air afterwards ( bless my DP he holds them up for me cos im too lazy ha ha )

Think ive got it covered, if ive missed anything let me know!! Not that im obsessed or anything!!

xx

FlirtyThirty · 22/08/2008 13:33

Sorry Vix!
I agree with Bluestar... that CD29 could turn into CD1. I used to often have this...as soon as it was red blood, I counted it as CD1.
Glad you and DP had a good chat...really important to share the stress, whether it's with him (best situation!) or on here...
Success next month would mean a lovely May baby for you! How lovely...

bluestarlavender · 22/08/2008 13:27

Vix - so sorry, hun!! Evil evil witch!! But wait and see for the rest of the day what happens with the bleeding. My last AF, I thought I would start out slow (very light bleed/spotting) and by the evening I pouring (sorry for TMI). So CD 29 turned into CD1. Also I think it's fine to say it's whatever cycle you feel is right!

Hi girls,

Just been to the loo and think my AF is defo on way as there is a bit of spotting and period pains But my doc told me to count cycle day 1 from the first day of my heavy period, so i think im still on d27?! And i have been trying for far too long, well casually trying if theres soooo such thing?! Me and dp had REAL serious conversation and decided to PROPERLY try last month, so i think i might just put my next cycle as cycle 2 as it makes me feel better, is this OK??!!

Aaw Bubbap Im sorry about your AF, but make sure you enjoy yourself over the BH wkend!! Think ill be joining u tomorrow hun!!

I am going to cheer myself up by treating myself to a clearblue fertility monitor.... ooh exciting or what!!
And im looking after my dp's sisters little baby tonight he is only 13 weeks , so that will cheer me up!! Until i take him home lol

Anyway i'll stop babblin and fill in my chart . . .. .
