Morning guys,

DH and I are having a mini crisis at the moment...I was wandering around on MN yesterday and saw a post about undescended testes causing fertility problems. Anyhow, long story short...DH had this and had an op at 8 years old to sort it out. By the looks of things, this is pretty late and can be a problem. I'm feeling pretty numb at the moment and I think DH is angry as no one has ever said anything about it being a problem.

Anyhow DH is going to call the docs on Monday to get an appointment to discuss this. I know we need to stay positive, but it's not that easy.

I hope everyone else is fine!!

Fairywing - any news this morning??

I am in need of a nice BFP from someone soon! It will be lovely to hear some happy news!

The way I look at it Fairywing, is the longer you hold out, the more likely you'll be to know naturally because your symptoms will intensify... Remember that they say that the majority of women don't get any symptoms until at least 6 weeks.

fairywing · 05/09/2008 15:03

Well no AF yet. I reay don't want to get my hopes up but having had no symptoms until today, i have felt bleurgh all day and am absolutely knackered!! No reason for it at all, i had my 7 hours sleep last night and havent done a lot so far today except for a little bit of housework and some paperwork. I could ust fall asleep! I'm beginning to wonder now. I think i ov'd about 11 days ago so could today potentially be implantation with the slight cramping and sudden onset of symptoms?

Oooh this is awful!!, i'm def not testing again yet though i'd hate to get another bfn.

DawnAS · 05/09/2008 15:03

I'm very disappointed that no-one has mentioned Cliff Richard's "Saviours Day", I love that Xmas tune and I've already got my "Now That's What I call Xmas" CD ready and waiting - ha ha!!

Fairywing, I think you're right to wait another week, I would.... . Keeping everything crossed for you though....

xxx

fairywing · 05/09/2008 12:58

Well when will i test now thats the burning question!! If AF doesnt arrive, i don't actually know how long my cycle is so i guess the sensible thing to do would be to give it another week before testing. Don't know that i will actually hold out that long though. In all honesty though im pretty sure AF is on her way. Cramps are getting slightly stronger as the day goes on and feel distingtively AFish, i also have a headache now, this is all normal for me. Still its not over till its over so fingers still crossed!!

Vix67 · 05/09/2008 12:49

bluestarlavender · 05/09/2008 12:24

Hi guys,

Sorry for being quiet yesterday! I had a frantic day in the office and then had a big evening out with all my work colleagues.

My whole team are field-based and everyone was staying over at a hotel near the office...except me. Work nights out with my colleagues have always have a habit of being very painful the morning after! I'm on CD 13 today, and OV is imminent, so thought I should be a little careful! Had to lie to get out of staying over. But thankfully having to drive home prevented any drinking.

Fairywing - any news today? Now that AF is late, when do you think you might test?

Dawn and Saz - I love Love Actually, I went to see it with DH when we first started dating. But the movie The Holiday is what made me say yes to marry my DH. So I love them both! I can't wait for the new Bond movie though!! I love Daniel Craig...he's lovely.

Big waves to everyone!!

'so here it iiiiiiis merry christmas every boooooddyyyyys having fuuuuun'

god i love that song!!

also re Daniel Craig, does anyone remember him in 'Our Friends in the North'? I loved that programme and even have it on DVD. Could be due to me being a Geordie tho!!

saz007 · 05/09/2008 11:27

4 years OMG!!!!!!!! That does put into perspective. Thanks for sharing that Summerbird

Good luck with the preseed

Yes I agree with the yummy Daniel Craig (he's also a good actor - who knew!!), but Connery is still the best Bond. I'm a total fan...have been for as long as I can remember. I even have the models of the cars

I like Love Actually too, I was actually thinking of watching that or About a Boy this weekend with DH - spooky! I'm up for a virtual xmas party, as long as the tunes are cheesy!!

summerbird · 05/09/2008 11:11

Mmmm Bond - Daniel Craig - mmmmmm

I think Love Actually is a real feel good film, shall we watch that? And i soooo agree we should have an xmas party, i will order the pink champagne....

I had a reality check this morning, i caught up with an old friend on Facebook who is 32 and celebrated her daughters first birthday last month. The thing is it took her 4 years to conceive. Now i know you are all gasping with but it really put things into perspective for me. I am going to stop moaning that it is 6 months now and am basically going to get on with my life. I am still staying on here as I love the chat, but i am not going to obsess as much as i usually do. It shocked me that she is 3 years younger than me, she said she almost gave up on it, can you imagine four years of checking for symptoms and getting upset over AF.. poor girl.

Ah yes but i am still going to use the preseed - prob tonight - bring it on!!!!!

Oh and thanks for the messages, my back is much better but my bum is a bit delicate!!!!!

Happy Friday girls

saz007 · 05/09/2008 10:13

Oh Summerbird poor you {sad} I know exactly how you feel, I did that last year (without the vac, but I do blame the slippers!) and ended up with a lovely purple bum!

Dawn I love HP too, so I was gutted about that too! But at least Bond has been brought forward - hurray hurray hurray!!!

Fingers crossed Fairywing

Well CD24 for me, the waiting goes on and on.....

DawnAS · 05/09/2008 09:39

Oh Summerbird, you won't be able to do things like that when you're PG - so might aswell get it out the way now!! Sorry you're in pain though.

Ohhhh Fairywing, I hope that the witch doesn't get you today.

So much for an AF after MC being heavy and horrid - it's finished already. Medium bleeding on CD1, light yesterday and nothing today!! Very odd....

Oh well, roll on my girlie Sunday. So which films do you want to "cyber-watch" then girlies?!!

I'm still recovering from the fact that they've delayed the next Harry Potter release until July next year, so I may have an HP marathon day since we've got all of them. Alternatively - aaaa "The Holiday" or "Love Actually", both lovely and Christmassy!!

Ooooh I know it's a bit early, but we should sooooo have a virtual xmas party in December!!!

xxx

fairywing · 05/09/2008 08:10

ouch summerbird!! hope your back is better soon!

Dawn - girlie day sounds like just what i need.. if only i had the time at the moment

Well today is CD29 for me, so if i am on a 28 day cycle AF will arrive some time today. The signs are all there, slight cramping or 'heaviness', a bit of nausea, sore nipples, spotty, bleurgh!! Course the symptom spotter in me couples all of this with the raunchy dream i had last night and thinks "perhaps"

summerbird · 04/09/2008 21:20

ahh Dawn that sounds cool, i think all of us girls will be joining you on a cyber girlie day on sunday!!

i fell down the stairs earlier! i was carrying the vacuum cleaner downstairs and tripped on my slippers, what a complete loon i really hurt my bum and now my back is aching, i was so upset, more out of embarrasment - DH was v sympathetic, then laughed and said 'get on with the vaccing then'!!!

git.....

DawnAS · 04/09/2008 20:12

Hi All,

Well MichaelaS, I'm on CD2, although still a little confused. I'd heard rumours about the AF after an MC being awful, but I had medium bleeding yesterday and hardly anything today unless I go to the loo. Really really odd. Boobs are still really sore aswell, even though I've never before had sore boobs with an AF, ever!!

Oh well, I just hope my body sorts itself out quick!!

I started temping today, I was quite proud that I remembered in my hazed state this morning. Not that I have any idea what the temps mean!! Has anyone else started temping? What sort of temps are you likely to get when AF is here?

Ahhhh, nearly the weekend again and DH is working on Sunday. The dog and I have turned his Sunday working days into "Do nothing" days for us. We eat rubbish and watch girly films on the sofa all day - can't wait!!

MichaelaS · 04/09/2008 19:00

Hi all

Good luck saz and summerbird

So, Linwin is on CD9 and I am on CD6, where is everyone else?

I am also planning to get in a lot of BD this month - I am off work for the next 2 weeks so lots of time - hooray!

Good luck everyone, I am definitely up for a June baby. All the best people are born in June you know (and obviously that would have nothing to do with my birthday of course....)

love m

Linwin · 04/09/2008 15:16

Hi everyone,

Vix I am fine. The pains in my side have eased off but AF is Still here - its cd 9 today. Not sure what she thinks shes playing at. So no BD for me in ages and we're back at my parents this weekend for my brothers' wedding so won't be able to until Monday at the earliest - which will be cd 13!! Anyway, least will be able to have lots of champers at the wedding.

Love the joke saz and summerbird good luck with the job application.

Vix67 · 04/09/2008 13:49

ha ha summerbird i like to hear your woes, but must admit logged off after my message last night to get some BDing in !!

I think its definetley a good move!! I was in the same situation last year and really didnt want to leave incase i fell pg and didnt get maternity pay. But i think i was so stressed out at my old job that i doubt i would of fell anyway!! So decided to leave and absoultely made the best decision!! Am not stressed at all now , however it does give me more timje to stress over babies ha ha!

Anyway must get back to work have a great day eberyone speak to you all soon xx

summerbird · 03/09/2008 21:11

i work for the regulatory body that ensures Doctors are fit to practise (GMC), so if anyone here works for them then please dont tell my boss i am trying to leave!! The new equivalent to the Healhcare Commission are opening an office in Manchester in January and are doing a massive recruitment drive so my friend and i are going to give it a go. I told my mum about it tonight and thought she would discourage me due to Mat Pay etc but she said to go for it. Is always good to get that bit extra support.

anyway why am i troubling vix with my woes when she is probably far busier at the mo

it is BD night for the summerbirds tonight too, if i can be bothered!! i have decided to try the every other night system and see how that goes.

Vix67 · 03/09/2008 20:14

Aaw thankyou girls!! I am feeling better today, and appreciate all ur nice messages!! And i genuinely do believe in the ' right ' time, i just want it to be NOW!! ha ha

Dawn I am really sorry about your AF, i know it must be tough for you at the mo!! Lets get this book club started to keep us occupied!!

Saz that joke was brill!!

Summerbird good luck for this new job, let us know if you get an interview.... fingers crossed!! What is it that you do??

Linwin how are you feeling today??

Hope everyone else is well!! My dp is home tonight so i am going to go and pay him some attention!!

xx

summerbird · 03/09/2008 17:34

saz ROFL!!!

heverhoney what a beautiful message, i agree with you as it makes my blood boil when i open the newspaper and see the latest 14 year old not realising she was PG and just 'giving birth' !!!

everyone on this thread is lovely and we all deserve our little bubbas so here is some extra baby dust from the summerbirds

* **

heverhoney1 · 03/09/2008 16:30

Hi all

Sorry I have not been arount for a while am away from home for work and I have only just got my laptop working!!!

I just wanted to say to Vix - Dont worry so much them little swimmers can hang around!! I think It was 3 days pre OV when we BD'd and I really thought we had missed the boat.
TTC makes NO sense at all sometimes you can do everything right and it just doesnt happen, sometimes you can do everything "Wrong" and it does.

I just wish it worked more fairly and everyone who wanted children and were capable of loving them could have them, and have them quickly! and everyone that didnt want them, or shouldnt couldnt!!

saz007 · 03/09/2008 16:23

Congrats Summerbird good luck with that.

Good joke Dawn! I have one too....

A married couple went to the hospital to have their baby delivered.

Upon their arrival, the doctor said he had invented a new machine that would transfer a portion of the mother's labour pain to the FATHER.

He asked if they were willing to try it out. They were both very much in favour if it.

The doctor set the pain transfer to 10% for starters, explaining that even 10% was probably more pain that the father had ever experienced before. But as the labour progressed, the husband felt fine and asked the doctor to go ahead and bump it up a notch.

The doctor then adjusted the machine to 20% pain transfer. The husband was still feeling fine. The doctor checked the husbands' blood pressure and was amazed at how well he was doing.

At this point they decided to try for 50%.The husband continued to feel quite well. Since the pain transfer was obviously helping out the wife considerably, the husband encouraged the doctor to transfer ALL the pain to him.

The wife delivered a healthy baby with virtually no pain. She and her husband were ecstatic.

When they got home, the milkman was dead on the porch.
