the closest one to us is about 35miles away!! maybe DH will take me as i REALLY want some now!!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 22/08/2008 17:45

oh yeah, and they were birds eye 100% fish ones in batter which were soooooo tasty!! nando's does sound blardy good!! but i dont think we have one here...

Diege · 22/08/2008 17:42

You can't beat fish finger butties Glask, don't knock them .
Lardy (m'lady )I love Nandos (we have one 2 mins from the house) (portugese so nearly right!)I'll be going for the chicken breast in pitta (lemon and herb dressing, no mayo) with sweet potato side. I would normally have the piri piri fries but am sticking fiercely to this darn eating plan.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 22/08/2008 17:39

i thought nando's was mexican, but i googled it to see if we had any nearby and it was a chicken place.... i'm puzzled?? Diege- please confirm!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 22/08/2008 17:38

lardy are you posh?? that sounds very posh and scrummy!!!

nando's take-away also sounds yummy!!

i've got loads in the freezer, fish that's going into a fish pie, chicken for chicken casserole, sausages for sausage mash and beans (dd's personal fave)

i felt awful last night on the tired front so just made fish fingers and chips for the kids and fish finger butties for me and DH with ketchup on!! were very nice though!!

I fancy making a chicken stew next week but feel it might be too wintery!!

lardybump · 22/08/2008 17:36

It is lovely you can not beat fish and cheesy mash...... Nando's is that spanish? um what will you have?

Diege · 22/08/2008 17:33

OMG Lardy that sounds wonderful!

lardybump · 22/08/2008 17:32

I have just cooked oven baked cod in a homemade lemon and watercress sauce with cheesy mash potato, peas, broccoli and green beans. DD licked her plate after hers so I know she liked it... (Although she now needs her second bath of the day as she smells of fish)....

Diege · 22/08/2008 17:32

Mmm your tea sounds nice Glask! I've just got the girls fish and chips (I resisted...just sneaked 2 chips and had a wholemeal pitta with houmus instead ). Our cupboards are pretty bare (shopping tomorrow) so I'm going to suggest a Nandos take away to dh!. (Oh and I'm glad it's not just me who has flash backs to creamegg-gate).

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 22/08/2008 17:22

oh no diege- i'd erased the memory of NJ's tales of creme egg fun out of my brain until now!!

and right with you on the kids- my two are messing and being so loud that i'm pleading with them to be quiet!! DD is in DH's jumper and pretending to be a ghost, and DS is screaming at the top of his voice!! I want to go back to bed too!!

hotpot and red cabbage for tea tonight!! yummy!! although i should have done chilli and rice but forgot until i'd put them in the oven (yes i've cheated and got hollands ones!!)

whats everyone else on for tea? my mind need stimulation for the rest of the weeks meals!!

Diege · 22/08/2008 17:21

Hi Lardy . Early night soudns good, although I've got a dvd out that needs watching - 'Happy Go Lucky' supposed to be quite good.
Hmm yes I could try OPKs, although I've never got more than a very faint line, even when I've been pregnant. Will go on CM for now, and leave the hard core stuff if no luck after 6 months or so

lardybump · 22/08/2008 17:14

Roll on my bed time. I have the headache from hell and am very tired....

lardybump · 22/08/2008 17:13

Evening everyone.

Diege I gof every day some months and every other day others and didn't get pg. My lucky month we gof twice in the month (day I got +OPK and the day after) and I got up the duff... Could you get some OPK's just for this month??

Diege · 22/08/2008 17:13

Mmm cream egg TINKS- I remeber signing an on-line petition a few years back for Cadbury's to make a full-size version of one . Mmmm, can you imagine (for some reason I am getting a flash back to a certain practice that NJ partakes in with said cream egg ...
Ok Cals, cycle length goes from 28 to 31 days, usually 29 days on average. As dh is only here this month until 14th, I'm guessing a day 10, 12 and 14?
Ooh dds are driving me MAD - they're in that silly hysterial giggling mood that doesn't respond to ANY childcare techniques. Roll on (their) bedtime!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 22/08/2008 17:01

tinkcantwaittofindoutboyorgirl · 22/08/2008 16:50

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 22/08/2008 16:47

oh cals i feel a bit like that too- i'm just never 'in the mood' or we've gone to bed to watch something and i fall asleep within 10mins of being under the duvet!!

I was very lucky to wake up after a steamy dream a couple of days ago and i wanted GOF, so DH isn't complaining yet!!

I've just had an hours nap on the couch while ds was in bed watching a video and having a nap and dd went in her buggy and slept the whole time too!! though i feel just as knackered as i did when i went to sleep!!

Also- DH phoned earlier, he got a flat tyre on his way to work today so we need to flipin buy a new one!!

How has everyone elses day been?? except for the hilarious chat about john wayne!!.... already caught up on that bit!!

and cleaning sounds good tink- can't wait till i've got more energy, i want to do things but cant for nodding off!!

calsworld · 22/08/2008 14:55

went to bed

calsworld · 22/08/2008 14:55

Howdy Pardner!

I suppose you could just start at day 10 and go till CM dries up....lets face it, DH won't be complaining! Do you normally have regular cycle lengths? This would help pinpoint prime GOF time?

DH is a bit at the moment as I haven't been up to it since we conceived for a while now so am going to have to make a big effort next month week . It would help if we went to before I was nodding off on the sofa I guess!

Diege · 22/08/2008 14:48

You'll have me walking like John Wayne

calsworld · 22/08/2008 14:21

Diege that I make sense .

This is where it gets tricky IMO and when you don't know when you OV. However, if you can manage it and if you've gof'ed every other day since AF then just keep going until AF arrives or until CM dries up. Every month.

Diege · 22/08/2008 14:03

Ooh York, lovely! I go there with my friend for a weekend twice a year, and have havce such a great time there. Esp nice at Xmas with the ice sculptures. Have a lovely relaxing time
Well world war 3 here with the 'crafts' out - I HATE crafts but have buckled with the weather. Arghhhh!!!

SesQal · 22/08/2008 13:57

Going to York to visit ny bf and her DH and DD (aged 2.10). I'm godmother to their v cute and adorable daughter and as they live so far away we only get to see eachother 4 or 5 times a year. REALLY looking forward to seeing them!

Diege · 22/08/2008 13:52

HI SES! Enjoy your weekend - you're right, not so long until your 'when to test' dilemma . Are you off anywhere nice? (sorry if I missed this!)

Diege · 22/08/2008 13:50

That's great Cals - makes perfect sense to me . So if I understand this right, would you suggest a gof on the first day of ewm (having goffed every other day after af)and then every other day after? What if the first day of EWM turns out to be an 'other' day? (and all of this from a mother of 3 )
