Goooooooooood morning

Awww JellytotZ that is very sweet of you! Fingers crossed it will be your turn soon

LB how is DD today? I remember when DS1 (PFB) was about 3 months old, I was changing him on his changer unit (was a chest of drawers with a thing on top to change him on) I reached up to the right hand side to get somethingorother, still stood in front of the chest, but as I reached up (taking my eye off of him) he rolled over - for the first time ever - and fell straight off his drawers on to the floor, DH came running up the stairs yelling at me, once we saw he was OK, we both calmed down but it is the shock that starts them shouting, and if it were the other way round we'd probably do the same to them! It is amazing just how hard their heads are, DS1 also slid off a toy head first into my dining table leg (I have very heavy Indian furniture) he had a bump the size of an egg within seconds, we rushed him down to A&E just to be safe but he was fine! DS2 hasn't actually had any major accidents, not sure how, he is always climbing and swaying off something, some people just get away with it don't they?! (Why do I get the feeling that that comment will have us all in A&E by the end of the day?!!) He has rolled off the bed a couple of times, but always had soft landings never even cried!

How is everyone today? I am full of the joys of spring for some reason! Seem to have enough energy to keep a train running for a day. This pregnancy malarky is a laugh a minute!! Down in the dumps for no reason, and then walking on air for no reason!

Congratulations Gruffalo

Morning everyone else, i am sooooo tired today. Good day with friend yesterday, then bloody trains!!!! Took 5 hours to get home, usually only 2 due to something going on at NEw street station and no trains being allowed in or out so they kicked us off at Wolverhampton and said just go to the bus station!!!!
I was then stuck in some dodgy area at 10 o'clock at night praying for DH to find us from the little information i gave him. Then my mobile battery died, i just wanted to cry.

JellytotZ · 07/08/2008 23:36

OK....So, I have posted before, but since then I have been a bit of a sly watcher from afar!! lol! Just could not resist to jump on here and say a big CONGRATS to Gruffalo!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Confessiojn time....She is my bestest friend since forever! & she only goes and gets a BFP before me grrrrr ... only joking, SOOOOO happy!! AF is over two weeks for me, so I had a blood test on Wed and it came back a negative today....we sooooo could have been PG together!! Oh well God knows what is the matter with me. At least one of us has good news. I am over the moon!! ....more GOFing for me!

SesQal · 07/08/2008 19:43

Good!!!

Hope all the drama hasn't left you without the lovely feeling you must have had today when you heard hb?! Must be so wonderful! Glad mw is looking after you well. Did you go on your own or was dp able to go too?

lardybump · 07/08/2008 19:37

He wouldnt of let her play on the bed but he has calmed down now though and being all nice to me!!!

SesQal · 07/08/2008 19:29

LB - by the way, does your dp think children don't play on beds?? Or that he would have prevented it?? Unfortunately these things happen and it is wrong to wrap dc in cotton wool (I know as my dm always tried to do that to me and I sooo resented her for it!) You won't come across any dc that haven't had little accidents like this. Hope he's calmed down now!

Unfortunately AF got me at the wkend so I'm only CD5. I'm just having one of those desperate to be pg days though. I'm trying to not obsess whilst at the same time will use OPKs from cd10, am temping and checking CM!

I guess I should change my post on the list now as I think the above definitely means I'm properly ttc!

Here goes....

lardybump · 07/08/2008 19:11

Thanks ladies she is asleep now. Told dp and he has just hit the roof. "Why on earth was she playing on the bed in the first place" and all that...... thanks dp I needed that.

I have to wake her up at nine and before I go to bed just to be sure. I cant believe she just launched herself over!! It is a bloody long way down from there..... Her cousin screamed and I turned around and saw her in mid flight heading straight for her head but then her legs caught up and she fell on her back and her head at the same time....

Anyway

Ses when are you testing then? What day are you on now?

SesQal · 07/08/2008 19:06

LB - I think the advice if she is playing again is to keep a close eye on her for the signs you have been given. Must have been a bit of a shock for you both so I hope you are both feeling a bit better now.
Also glad you were reassured at your appointment today.

Gruffalo - FANTASTIC!!
What's your secret? And what's this about LBOT being next??! Can I be second in the queue???!

Starshinetiger · 07/08/2008 18:57

Have posted LB, but not sure if help either - is meant to be reassuring, hope it was!

makingafamily · 07/08/2008 18:30

Lardy have posted but dont think i've been much help. Sorry

lardybump · 07/08/2008 18:08

Sorry to put a dampener on things but look at this.... I am such a bad mum

makingafamily · 07/08/2008 18:03

Hey Cals

Gruff that is fantastic news

Cosmogirl · 07/08/2008 17:35

Congratulations Gruffalo - really pleased for you .

Thanks for the new thread Nat - like the title .

Still feeling sickedy-sick and eating for five!

lardybump · 07/08/2008 17:20

You can still catch shingles even if you have had cp so I would keep away if I was you. I would also try to keep ds away from cp because you may not be up to it...

Starshinetiger · 07/08/2008 17:18

P.S. Love the thread title Nat and glad to hear DH's party went well - well done you and DS1

Starshinetiger · 07/08/2008 17:18

HUGE Congrats, Gruff !! Really good news.
Glad to hear mw appointments went well LB and Tink.
Admit am currently struggling to keep up with everyone both on this thread and antenatal thread due to sickness, so apologies if I've missed anything.

Does anyone know if it's safe to be near someone with shingles when you're pg? I had chicken pox as a child, but don't know if that gives me immunity? Next point is whether I want DS to catch Pox just now - sorry Cals, I know you're suffering with that with DS

lardybump · 07/08/2008 17:01

evening ladies and congrats to gruffalo.... yay..... .

I had my mw appointment today. She said i looked very run down and tired, she is testing for annemia (sp?). She has taken the bloods and we had a lovely chat as it is the same one I had for dd. She reasured me re birth and I feel a lot happier now. I am going to same hospital as when I had dd so that is good as they will have all notes on dd birth there.

She said that she probably wont hear the hb as I am only 11 weeks but she tried and found it as soon as the machine went on. So happy it is really strong.....

I feel a lot happier now just want to get ds screening out of the way now (being done on thursday) and I can relax........

Anyway enough about me how are you all!!!

GYo · 07/08/2008 16:56

Hey Gruff

we need to see you here too

GruffaloSoldier · 07/08/2008 16:49
