morning

sorry glas for bfn.
we are blizting house at the mo to get ready to put it on the market

glaskham · 09/08/2008 08:39

well all sounds good with such a strong BFP there Gruffalo....

I did test this morning.... I was adamant there was a very faint line... but DH said he couldn't see a thing!! So from now on i'm gonna let him read the results of any test i do as i keep getting myself exited only to feel like i've been kicked in the teeth!!

AF is due on monday so if i dont come on i'll test again but for now its a BNF again for me

Maybe next month i will try no temping, no OPK's and just GOF away the month!! I've not been having many symptoms really anyway- all my AF symptoms are very close to early pg symptoms...

enjoy your wedding today Gruffalo....

and Hello to anyone who reads this!!! (I see your not about this morning yet!!)

GruffaloSoldier · 08/08/2008 23:59

Thanks again for all the messages! And thanks for forgiving me Glask!

The only symptoms I had were all day Wed AF type cramps and diarrhoea in the evening(spelling?) and cramps Thursday am then I tested at 2.15 ish and got BFP (that I could see from a distance). I sooo wasn't expecting it as thought AF was coming. Glad I did test early as have another wedding tomorrow and now i know I can't drink!

I am still getting cramps but no spotting or anything and white CM. I hope this is all normal. I am still feeling a bit worried but trying not to think about it.

Fingers crossed for Glask and KK and anyone else testing.

I also just found out that I graduate 2nd April - edd is around 16th April

SesQal · 08/08/2008 22:22

Hi Kooky! Good to hear from you and glad funeral is done and seems to have gone as well as it could have IYKWIM.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for Wednesday for you - be sure to let us know!

Harvester was good and LB, we did indulge in the salad cart! I quite like that I can not have a starter and have the salad instead and sort of feel good about it!

kookykid · 08/08/2008 22:14

Hi all,
Just popping on briefly so I am on the thread. Having serious MN withdrawal symptoms.

Massive congrats Gruff !! Fingers crosed for you too, Glask. I am still holding out til Weds as only have a couple of tests with me. Have been trying not to symptom spot!

LB Hope DD is OK now - if it makes you feel better my DD fell all the way down the stairs and it was my fault as I'd left the stairgate open.

We now feel properly on holiday as the funeral is over and done with. DH apparently read well, but I wasn't there as had DD. She lightened the mood at the wake and kept everyone entertained, although I was exhausted at the end of the day!

Hope to check back again soon.

glaskham · 08/08/2008 20:50

WOWZERS Gruffalo!!!!!! (and as its such good news i dont mind you testing early.... I may even test myself in the morning now!!

I went away last min for the night.... got up at 8am with the kids and just fancied a drive out so we phoned my parents (as they were at their holiday home in scotland) and we went up their for the night!!

Went out today and got lots of bargains, and stuff to go away for xmas!!

Hope everyones well!!

lardybump · 08/08/2008 19:29

I love harvester.... You have to go to the salad cart lots of times though..... its the law.

SesQal · 08/08/2008 19:26

Make the most of it then!

I've told DH that I've had a tough week and need to chill for the weekend. So we're going out for something to eat in a minute. Only a Harvester but at least I don't have to think about cooking and clearing up for an evening

I'm making the most of no dc and going out whilst we can!

lardybump · 08/08/2008 19:24

I know he has surprised me. I think he is making up for shouting at me about dds accident yesturday....

SesQal · 08/08/2008 19:21

Glad he can see the funny side. I'm sure not many would!

lardybump · 08/08/2008 19:11

He has (jokingly) baned my nieces from ever coming again and is chasing dd around the house saying daddys got nits daddys got nits so he didn't take it as bad as I thought he would... he he he.

SesQal · 08/08/2008 18:44

Not much he can do about it... We often get customers coming in saying their dp is embarrassed and doesn't want to know but unfortunately most people end up having to deal with it at some point!
Good luck!

lardybump · 08/08/2008 18:37

Thanks ses I will try the conditioner tonight. DP is going to be well pissed off when I tell him , ho hum....

SesQal · 08/08/2008 18:33

One of the best natural treatments to use if caught early is just to smother the hair in ordinary conditioner and then to comb through with a fine tooth comb as the conditioner makes it more difficult for the lice to hold on. This normally needs to be done at least once a day for 10-14 days so can be a bit of a pain but perseverance can win out! Some people also add a little tea tree oil as a natural antiseptic to the conditioner.

Sounds like they may have been eggs but try and look in particular places. Lice normally prefer hair behind the ears and at the back of the neck as it is warmer there. Those would be the best places to look at. DD could get them but if she hasn't at the moment, bear in mind they do not jump and only transfer via direct head to head contact. (I do know this can be difficult when dc are used to affection and cuddles and you're trying not to touch heads!)

Hope some of that helps? Others with personal experience may have other advice but that's what I have gathered from my studies and customers I talk to.

lardybump · 08/08/2008 18:25

Thanks nat I will let you know how she is tonight. Normally she goes down at 7 and we dont hear a peep out of her all night....

Ses I have had my neices over all week and found out today that they have head lice..... since then I have been itching and so went to get an electric comb. It didnt show up any lice but there were lots of white and pale yellow balls on the comb. Could this be eggs??? if so do you know of any natural remedies as I can not use chemicals as pg.... Also is dd likely to get it? she has very thin hair.

SesQal · 08/08/2008 18:16

Hi LB and NJ!

NJ - have fun(???!) at Tesco!

LB - glad DD seems ok today. Last night may well have been shock. Not really had any experience of head lice except advising patients. I can try and help if you want?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 08/08/2008 18:08

Hiya LB, can't stay long got a trip to Tesco planned - lucky me!!!

DS1 was like this constantly, nothing to do with head bangs or anything, just couldn't sleep unless I was there rubbing his leg.... As a one off I'd say she probably just wanted the reassurance, if it is an on going thing, we never found the answer for it, he turned 3 and old enough to understand that we did story and then bed time on his own, we had acrappy week getting him used to it, but he got there eventually.

That is why I did CC with DS2!

evening everyone. DD seems fine today.

She had a very bad night and I had to sleep in her floor on a pull out bed last night. She would only sleep if I was touching her. As soon as I let go of her hand she screemend the house down. Has anyone else ever had this. I dont think she was in pain, do you think it was the shock still...

Hope you ladies are all well. I need to ask another personal question!!!! has anyone ever had head lice???

tinkisagracefulshamu · 08/08/2008 13:31

Nat- glad you are feeling happy today please spread it about in the field? could use a little good spirit.

(Warning small rant coming up)
Feeling fed up with work/ tiredness/ nausea/builders at home making a mess etc today. DH away last night and phoned late, despite me saying I'd be asleep and then started having a go at me for being negative about issues with builders that we have- and there he was in a clean hotel room having had nice meal and wine! Left me all wound up and unable to sleep til midnight. I wanted to be asleep by 9pm!

AND relax. Least its friday

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 08/08/2008 08:28

X post 2BG, god, have been in similar situation, not good is it? I take it you got home OK in the end?
