GruffaloSoldier · 11/08/2008 21:52

Hi Diege,
Thanks for that, 20 weeks is quite a while - didn't expect that!

My Dad has 5 grandchildren, Mum has 2 grandchildren and DHs parents have three! So not first but lots of cousins for LO to play with range from 10 months to 11 yrs old! DH also has aunties and uncles with young ones so I'm really excited to be adding to the brood.

I am just running a nice warm lavender bath and then bed for me. Am not sleeping well at the mo and tis not helping my cold! I don't wanna go to work tomorrow even though it is just nannying and I can lay on the sofa when having a rough moment - it is still tough though - but it's good prep for motherhood I'm sure!

Diege · 11/08/2008 21:40

Just a quickie before bed (oo-err). Well done on telling the family Gruff!! Such an exciting time too with first pregnancy - will this be you parents first grandchild?
Re: 'showing', it was at about 20 weeks or so with dd1 for me. You can see a slight bump in my wedding photos at 24 weeks when I stood in profile .
Good luck Lardy with scan tomorrow - you'll be fine. I was so nervous before mine with dd3, and after wished I'd just relaxed and enjoyed it more! SES, you are way too hard on yourself - a gold medal for just getting out the door I say!
Hi GYP - wow 9 weeks already!!! Seems just a week ago you got your bfp .
Right, bed for me, speak tomorrow

GruffaloSoldier · 11/08/2008 20:47

Wow 9 weeks, it is going so fast!

With hospitals I need to choose which one!Going to let them know by the morning but I don't know!Argh!

I should probably be posting this in ante natal. Sorry. Going to take me a while to get used to posting on two threads!

GYo · 11/08/2008 20:34

re excitement

Im 9wks tomorrow- according to the scan I had. Its amazing how fast its gone but looking back its seemed like time has stood still.

Do you know if you will be Frimley or Royal Surrey?

GruffaloSoldier · 11/08/2008 20:31

How many weeks are you now Gyo??

GruffaloSoldier · 11/08/2008 20:25

Realy excited Gyo - can't think of anything else!!

GYo · 11/08/2008 20:18

Hey everyone

Congrats again Glask

Hey Gruff great to tell your family, but sorry you arent feeling well. Are you still excited?

Hi everyone else >

GruffaloSoldier · 11/08/2008 20:00

Wow Glask! Congrats on BFP. We can be April baby buddies and we should be quite close in edd surely?!

I have a stinking cold so am a bit miserable today. I went to the docs and she said I shouldn't be using olbas oil in steam (inhaling) so am gutted as I have been using it 3 or 4 times today

Am booking in with midwife tomorrow but need to make mind up on which hospital I want.

Told Mum, Dad and step mum tonight. Was really excited about telling Dad but was bricking it telling mum but she was absoluteley fine!So all is good.

Ses - well done for bike ride again - I have been abstaining from exercise as am heavy with cold and don't want to move a muscle!!

Hope everyone else is good.

Tink - bargains sound great - not something I need to worry about just yet but still worth knowing.

How far gone were people when they started showing with their first pgcy??

SesQal · 11/08/2008 19:43

WOW! Impressive LB! You all sound so fit and healthy! Have you all been pushing this wagon along instead of riding in it???!!

lardybump · 11/08/2008 19:41

Hi ses. I hate getting a flat tyre. I also have done the london to brighton (twice I might add) and love cycling. Dont seem to get the time now that I have dd.

SesQal · 11/08/2008 19:14

Glaskham!!! What a day!!!!

Really pleased about your BFP. What did your mum and sister say?
As for little glaskham - she certainly picks her moments! A celebratory potty wee

Well I started out well with continuing with my cycling as got home from work prompt just after 6pm and duly fot changed and got bike ready for another 1.5-2 miles. After 0.9 miles I had a flat tyre!!! Walked home and pumped it up so will try again tomorrow! I know it's one of those things (and I probably got some exercise from walking home and pumping up the tyre) but I really feel as if I failed to do what I set out to
I think I'm just too hard on myself sometimes!

glaskham · 11/08/2008 18:36

She was 2 in april, so 2 and 4 months. she's sat on it before today but never done anything till today!!!

lardybump · 11/08/2008 18:32

conglatualations little glaskham.... wow how old is she???

glaskham · 11/08/2008 18:23

DD has just used the potty and had a wee for the very first time!!! What a day to start!!!!

lardybump · 11/08/2008 17:56

tink can we have a link to the ones you have chosen (me nosey!!!!!!!!!!!!! no .....)_

glaskham · 11/08/2008 17:33

I think its starting to feel real... told my mum and sister.

I think i'll still end up using all my tests i'm due to get in the post just checking its right!!

I'm jealous of your shopping tink- i'm so looking forward to buying maternity clothes!!

m0nkeynuts · 11/08/2008 17:29

Glaskham - no missing that line!! Looks like a BFP - congrats!!!

I think AF maybe due Wed or Thurs for me. My tests still look the same as a couple of days ago (v light pink line within time limit) - no darker, so I think they're just dodgy cheapie tests! I get these lines pretty much every month

lardybump · 11/08/2008 17:27

evening everyone. A big warm welcome back diege so glad you are back with us..... missed you lots.

I am 12 weeks today and have my neucal (sp?) tomorrow. Cant wait to see the little sausage but worried at the same time.... I wont get the results back until friday..

Congrats glas I can see a line...

I am still feeling sick in the evenings but for the last 4 days have not been sick or even felt sick in the day times so much much better here......

Diege · 11/08/2008 17:19

Wow Glaskham looks like a postive to me . Many congratulations -you deserve it .
Good going on the maternity shopping TINKS - a woman after my own heart! I of course have a bloomin Isabella Oliver dress hanging up in wardrobe that I got in the sale for winter , now I have the dilemma of selling on ebay, or holding on in the hope that I might get some (late) winter wear out of it .
Playing, if it's any consolation your sickness should be peaking now, so it's only going to get better! I've always found 10 weeks the worst re: sickness then gradually getting better.
Have spent a fortune just popping to town with dds arghhh!! summer hols are a killer!

tinkispregnantwithpickle · 11/08/2008 16:17

pregnancy brain again forgot that i had a vertbaudet account have just ordered bits in there sale.
ordered x2 cardies,
3 long sleeved tops
x1 jeans

glaskham · 11/08/2008 14:52

yeah I saw your pic yesterday!! I was showing very early with dd, so do think i'll be showing early.... I have said to DH that if i am pg then after payday (in 3 weeks) i'll probs buy some things off the verbaudet sale too ready for winter as i'll be carrying heaviest over the cold months. The jeans at around £7-9 look fab!!

tinkispregnantwithpickle · 11/08/2008 14:36

cheers so cuffed as wouldnt be able to afford bits nearer time in say mothercare was panicking.
no agree dont think you need any just yet lol
i look 6 months already c my profile

glaskham · 11/08/2008 14:29

Just browsed the verbaudet sale and its looking good!! some of their prices are even cheaper than buying used off ebay!!
