I had my breakfast... sent some over for you GYo... have just told the surrogacy organisation I'm with that i wont be a surrogate for a while because i was pg, and also told my friend that I was going to be a surrogate for that i was pregnant...

Bit tough, but i had to do it sooner or later.

Diege · 14/08/2008 10:43

Fingers crossed af stays away 2BG - you never know, headaches etc may be pregnancy symptoms . Agree, getting rid of fizzy pop is good! I had a serious 2 litres a day diet coke habit, and have switched quite happily to fizzy water with a dash of fruit juice - feel much better for it!
GYO, agree that builders and good mooods aren't conducive! Remember making sure I was out of the house by the time they arrived then back tea-time when we had them come, just to avoid the stress of it all!
NAT, due date will be tough I'm sure, but does it help that you're pregnant for it? Just curious, as so many people say they want to be pregnant again by the due date.
Glask, very of potty training! dd3 is 2y 9m and while she'll sit on the potty nothing happens as yet! Really hard knowing when/how to start properly, as she's at nursery 4 days out of 5 so can't get any consistentrcy going. Can't remember what on earth I did with dds 1 and 2, but they were dry by this stage! Oh well, you never see children at school in nappies do you?!
SES, lovely to remember your nan and LO by wearing your ring. That's such a lovely idea
Right, dds are STILL not dressed!!!!

2beautifulgirls · 14/08/2008 10:19

Morning everyone,
Diege- Plant idea sounds lovely, my friend has bears for her losses. Your day sounds nice and relaxing, hope you have fun. I'm trying to get more healthy by cooking more (something i hate) and we no longer have fizzy pop in the house! Wish we were all organic like you though.

Well done little Glask DD2 is now fully potty trained and it is so much easier, and cheaper.
How are you feeling Glask?

GYO- Your house sounds like a nightmare at the moment, but sure it will all be worth it in the end But luxury hotel with pool, spa and massueur(sp) sounds like a great idea

I had porridge for breakfast this morning, just got up and fancied it, must of been all the talk of it on here yestereday still fresh in my mind. It was yummy, i also like it floating in milk.
Feeling very headachy and light headed. Going to docs next week if not up the duff as i've had these headaches for a couple of weeks now just feel out of sorts. Think AF is on her way, feeling achy back and belly

GYo · 14/08/2008 10:01

ooh please fax over some porridge! starving here...
I've been thinking about going to a hotel- even during this week its driving me so mad!

Unfortunately we have to paint this w/e before the next stage of building work next week so not sure about time Also DH is studying so is pretty edgy/ short of time so he might not go for it...

He is driving me mad actually, im not allowed to make any comments re mess in house or im being perceived as being "moody/negative"- Men! hum!!

Maybe I will go on my own and lounge in the pool/ get a massage etc what a lovely thought!!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 14/08/2008 09:52

Glaskham, am going to join you with the porridge, have just realised I haven't eaten yet.

GYo, builders (and the mess) is enough to tip anyone over the edge, coping with it during pregnancy is even harder. Can you get out and away from it for a couple of days at the weekend? Stay over night in a hotel or something? Just to give yourself a break from it.

GYo · 14/08/2008 09:48

thanks Nat- knowing it passes really helps.

Just hope me and dont fall out before then!

We have builders plastering house and mess is appalling. Kind of pushing to me to the limit mood wise.

Ho hum...

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 14/08/2008 09:44

Hi all... Diege- agree with everyone else re planting something, would be nice to do.

DD is doing fantastic on her potty training- she doesn't even need us!! she's going on her own and no accidents since she started using the potty on monday!! Its amazing!!

i think i'm gonna go and make some porridge in a mo... oh i had really wierd and strange vivid dreams last night.... one i was being chased, and the other i was pulling my underwear out of the dryer and all my knickers had pads in them... very odd!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 14/08/2008 09:34

Morning everyone

Diege agree with Cals it is nice to do something, I have nothing, except the due date looming over me next month. Trying not to think about it for now. Hope you have a good day, staying busy helps.

Cal, glad yesterday's funny turn has dissapeared. I have the perfect plan to wake the grumpy blokes up: STRIP!!!

2BG, about the weather, I did see the weather reports for down there and wondered how you were getting on.

GYo, if it helps, the black moods do pass, or at least get a little less frequent!

Morning guys

Lovely plant idea. I hope you have a great day Diege Its a nice way to not forget but also move on with life.

Hi 2BG sorry that you had a bad time wiht the weather.

Cals- Are we in the same office??? mine is full of men that are rather geeky and not conversational. However I have got a lovely 7mth pregnant lady sitting opposite me for the next week- wish I could tell her about my beany, though she must be sus by all the questions im asking!!

Hi everyone else

Ooh thanks for asking how I am Nat(yesterday, am a bit behind!) - am ok just a walking black cloud at the moment, really struggling with moodswings- hanging on to that bit passing!

SesQal · 14/08/2008 09:12

Morning all

I have a drawer in my bedside table with the hat and mittens set that my bf bought me when we told her I was pg. A nice card she sent with it too. I like the plant idea - did that when my Nana died. I've gone for a thumb ring actually. Have worn it ever since mc and just reminds me. Probably thought of it as I wear my Nana's old eternity ring too and I just twist them every so often to show they're not forgotten.

Sorry that's all v sad on a lovely morning but just wanted to share!

I really should have left for work now but still having breakfast (oops)! Not porridge - toast and marmite again!

tinkispregnantwithpickle · 14/08/2008 09:02

morning 18 wks today

we are off to a play centre too.

your day sounds good diege

plant idea is lovely

Diege · 14/08/2008 09:00

Thanks Cals . Yes, something like a plant for the garden would be nice. I have a birth stone necklace that I keep with the scan picture, but would be nice to have something 'living' that I can look at rather than keeping in cupboard .
Good luck with your number crunching! Those men in your office sound a bit grim .

calsworld · 14/08/2008 08:50

Oooh Diege, I like the sound of your day! Choosing nice fresh veggies, drinking a cup of tea at the playbarn whilst the DC's play happily

I'm sat at my desk in an office full of predominantly men who don't understand the art of conversation and have a mind numbing amount of numbers to crunch through in order to construct a vaguely sensible budget for next year.

Have you thought about doing something to remember instead of trying to forget - I'm not talking anything over the top, but maybe get a plant for the garden to kind of give yourself closure? (I hate that term but its very fitting sometimes).

Whatever you fill your day with, I hope you have a nice time with the DC's

Diege · 14/08/2008 08:43

Morning! Hope everyone is well . Good to hear from you 2BG, and agree that you stuck it out far longer than most would have! Pain about the poles though .

Off to the playbarn in the village this afternoon, and bits of shopping to pick up etc. One thing with this organic lark is that it all goes off soooo quickly, so makes shopping a day to day occurence!
Trying to keep busy today as it would have been my 12 week scan this morning (I would have been 14 weeks) so feeling a bit , but onwards and upwards eh!
Right, time to get dressed!

2beautifulgirls · 13/08/2008 21:28

Glas coffee sponge sounds delicious, think i may do some baking tomorrow

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 13/08/2008 21:20

2BG- shame about your trip but sounds like being at home will be more fun than that horrid weather!!

I made my coffee sponge and its scrummy- so nice me and DH have eaten over half of it already I put some vanilla in the buttercream topping to take away the bitterness and its scrummy.... from a woman who HATES coffee!!!

tinkispregnantwithpickle · 13/08/2008 21:17

sorry for trip 2bgs
remember last time we went camping ages ago it rained really heavy and we had to leave early too british weather

2beautifulgirls · 13/08/2008 20:51

Thanks ses, will try and have fun days out around home with the girls whilst DH still off.
Plus now we will be searching for new poles for the tent!

SesQal · 13/08/2008 20:39

2BG -
Really sorry your trip was ruined by the weather. Does not sound my idea of fun. Hope you'll be able to try and have a holiday at home?! (I know it's not the same) I'm v impressed you stayed as long as you did from the sounds of things!
Fingers crossed for TEW to stay away and a BFP!

2beautifulgirls · 13/08/2008 20:28

Sorry about awful spellings, head is all over the place!

2beautifulgirls · 13/08/2008 20:26

Hi everyone,
Congratulations Glask

well we are back from Camping 2 days early as it was a disaster!!!! There were winds like you have never seen. I wanted to leabve yesterday but they calmed down last night then today our tent has been destroyed. The pole have snapped in several places
Everyone left on our field apart from the very brave 4 who had very very sturdy tents or had tied there guy ropes to there cars!!!
A whole group haev left tents belongs, cookers etc and abandoned the place!!! Apart from the wind it was good fun, just now we have no tent

Well AF due Friday for me and feeling odd Felt crampy/achy Monday and tuesday. Headachy, and dizzy spells. Spotty, moody.
Going to buy some test tomorrow to use Friday morning if no AF.

calsworld · 13/08/2008 19:07

OOooh, I waffled so much I missed you there GS, good to hear from you!

calsworld · 13/08/2008 19:06

Am feeling much better now, not sure what that was all about. Maybe I have been overdoing it a little...you know, working and all, LOL.

Yep, Pre-seedis what we used, it works out quite expensive per GOF but really loved it, as I don't make as much CM as I did ten years ago so I also find it all a bit 'scratchy'. We really liked it and we got pg first month of using it!!

I would def. recommend it on that basis alone! If you read all the marketing stuff there's loads of people that get pg in first couple of months of trying. I wouldn't rely on it but it certainly didn't do us an harm! And, I think, far nicer than using real egg whites which I have read about!!!

On the gof side we haven't had sex at all been very active since we got the BFP, and we've got a couple of sachets left that might get put to use in the next couple of days.

My tummy is funny - in the morning its all nice and normal sized (if a little generous but that's just me!) and by evening (i.e now) I'm bursting out of my trousers completely and need to put my pyjamas on!

Have managed to pick up DS, get home and sort his tea and mine and DH's all before the end of CBeebies which is quite an achievement in the calsworld house. So now, DH will take DS up for his bath and to bed and I can just slob out all over the sofa relax. Hooray!

An early night for us tonight though, I think we 'forgot' we weren't still on holiday last night and sat watching crap on telly till really night before registering the time and legging it to bed!

I'm sat on the sofa with the patio doors open while DS runs round the garden with DH. I can't believe my little boy can run! He's very cute and I can't wait to see him with a new brother or sister . Hope he's not too jealous when he/she arrives.

Anyhoo, I'm rambling aren't I....

GruffaloSoldier · 13/08/2008 18:59

Hi all

I am also a porridge lover! I like mine with semi skimmed milk and honey - sometimes I have it with blueberries. Yum, can't wait til breakfast!

Great that 20 week scan is so close NJ.

I still have a streaming cold which is making me very grumpy - but at least I have done my working week now - can recover over the next 4 days hopefully!
Have my first appointment with midwife booked for 30th Aug. It was so weird writing that one in my diary - I am still finding it all very surreal!

lardybump · 13/08/2008 18:00

night diege hope you are feeling better soon.
