Hello Nemo! This does seem to be a v lucky thread so you've joined the right one!

Cal - hope all goes well with MW. Let us know!

Glaskham - I'm not suprised you had a row with your sister! Hope she'll realise and start looking after herself and her LO.

GYo - Can't believe you've been up a ladder painting too!! What's come over everyone??!! Actually, I normally find it v satisfying. I might just wait for our move before I join you

Yay! Advantages of working from home today... Just done OPK and it's +ve Also a fair bit of EWCM and it all coincides with temp dip and same ov day as lst cycle!!

Let's just hope DH doesn't have a stressful day at work and comes home prepared to do some GOFing!!

GYo · 18/08/2008 11:17

Cals- I read the curry comment, dont think its a gaff at all- you were just making the point

Good luck with MW

calsworld · 18/08/2008 11:08

Starshinetiger · 18/08/2008 10:38

Morning all.
Diege - good news about AF. Really glad to hear you sounding so positive, think that's brilliant!
Re. pie - crumble is much better. You cook up the berries with a bit of sugar for sweetening and then top with crumble mixture and cook in oven. Traditional crumble mixture is flour, butter and sugar either rubbed between fingers to make breadcrumbs, or mixed in mixer. BUT, I prefer an oaty topping - use your porridge oats with butter and sugar mixed together to top fruit. Is kind of like having flapjack on top of berrries - in that case I don't put too much sugar in fruit, so you get a nice contrast of sharp berries with sweet topping. OTOH, I am no good at pastry!!
Welcome Nemo!
Glask - sorry to hear about your sister and your row.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 18/08/2008 10:32

your ebaying sounds good tink!! I just sold a desk, and have some clothing selling atm... going to put it towards baby bits after our 12wk scan... won my sister a lovely peter rabbit bouncy chair for £2.76 last night, and i kinda wanna keep it myself as we had a blazing row last night!!

found out she's been going out drinking and falling down hills she's been so drunk!! and she's been sleeping around while pg too!! I'm so upset and angry with her!! I just blew my top and told her she needs to grow up a lot before she can bring a child into the world!!

GYo · 18/08/2008 10:31

That's good GYO Can't believe you're 10 weeks tomorrow . Really does only seem like yesterday that you got your BFP!

GYo · 18/08/2008 09:16

Morning Diege, Got everything crossed for you this month May is definately a great month to have a baby, Spring/early Summer is a lovely time of year. But then June is a good month too (I would say that since its my b'day month )

Thanks for asking, I'm actually quite good. Im 10wks tomorrow and think Im beginning to feel generally less tired unless I do something energetic like painting! I seem to have escaped the really bad MS with only a bit of nausea so Im still ravenously hungry most of the time.

Looking fwd to the 12wk scan 2wks on Friday.

Diege · 18/08/2008 09:08

Thanks SES . Think 6 months is pretty good going; took me 5 with dd3 but this time only a month - was an odd month as waiting for all clear after smear, so only had full explosion towards end of cycle when ewm was well gone. Have wondered ever since if mc was because of a bad egg, but no doubt just a random event (fingers crossed). I also have good feelings about this month - May would be a lovely month to have a baby!
GYO, good going on decorating up that ladder - no wonder you feel shattered! How are you feeling at the mo'?
Well dds are asking to get dressed, so back later

GYo · 18/08/2008 08:53

Morning everyone.

Rubbish wet day again- where IS the summer.

Need to catch up on weekend posts but it did laugh a lot at the "cum" thing just now. People in my silent office must think Im mad

Been up a ladder painting all weekend. Now aching in places I didnt know about about! And why does being pregnant make it such hard work!?

Roll on the long weekend

SesQal · 18/08/2008 08:52

Morning Deige! Not too nosey at all! Basically we got married June 2006 and I had been on the depo injection for about 18 months. Was due my next jab in August 2006 and didn't have it so in theory we'd been hoping since then. We did know though that it can take about a year to get your fertility back after the injection so I guess that takes us to August 2007 and then found out we were pregnant on Valentines Day this year. Sorry for the long explanation but I would say the short answer is about 6 months!

Sounds like you're eagerly anticipating your full on GOFing! I'd say just go for it!

Re pie, I think you're right. I'm more a home made crumble kinda gal but I did make an apple pie once. I think the only mistake I made was not enough filling.

Diege · 18/08/2008 08:45

Morning . I have been snorting my porridge out all over the computer after reading about Nat's 'cum' (so to speak) . DDs are looking are looking up from Scooby Do looking quite bemused!.
Bathroom sounds great - really stylish, plus black towels are genius .
SES, go with the flow sounds good, if quite unrealistic . Seriously though, sounding really postive re: temps etc. I am very excited for you! How many months were you trying for last time? (sorry if that's too nosey!).
CD 2 here, and period pains for the first time in, ooh, about 25 years . Not too bad though, and already looking forward to next week . Have been reading this book by Dr. Marilyn Glenville and following her nutritional advice etc, but she does suggest waiting 3 months so that the sperm/egg etc that are produced yield the benefits of the new diet/supplements. I see her point, but I think we'll still start this month as age is against me (and dh!)and who knows it may well take 3 months plus anyway.
Rain here too , and have stupidly promised dds we'll make a pie with the blackberried they collected yesterday. How the hell do I make a pie? Just two layers of rolled out pastry me thinks? Need Glask to point me in right direction (or any other pie experts out there!).

SesQal · 18/08/2008 07:55

Morning NJ..... !
V impressed with all your work in the bathroom. I completely agree with you about carpet in the bathroom - not right!

Well it's definitely looking like ov pains as I had a drop in my temp this morning just like I did last cycle on ov day. Don't remember ever getting pains like this before though and I've not had a +ve OPK yet! Think I'll just go with it and see what happens...
NOOOOOoooo! "go with it and see what happens"????!!!! Even as I typed that I thought no way - that's far too relaxed and I'm actually more worrying about whether I am actually ovulating this cycle and whether we'll have enough well timed GOFing and how it just has to be our month!

Yesterday we managed our dog walk - we did between 5 and 6 miles cross country, so not too bad!
Hope everyone's doing ok this morning? It's been raining all night here.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 18/08/2008 07:41

Good morning everyone

Welcome to Dal Good luck

Diege Hoooooooorrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! Good to have you back on board me ol' mucker GOF's and full explosions here we you come (was contemplating writting 'cum' then, but thought 7.30 on a Monday morning might be too early for some...! )

LB, glad DD is better, but sorry you're feeling crap, hope you are over it by now?

Gruff, also of your country retreat, I might invite myself and just stay there for the next week or so - I have a 'threatened Mum' visit at the end of the week (At least it's not MIL )

Ses fingers crossed for it being OV pains

Tink, 3D scan sounds great

I have finally finished the bathroom And I must say it looks fucking great LOL I painted it a really deep plum colour, got new black accessories (blinds, bath mat, etc.) and black and silver bathware (tooth brush holder, bin, toilet brush etc.) we have carpet in there at the moment (yes I did say carpet, in the bathroom ewwwwwwww) but have ordered some lino that is being fitted on Friday, and I want to get some black towels that I forgot to get in Next when getting the other accessories, but come Friday night it will be done Just in time for Mum to sweep in on Saturday....

Hi Ses, yes I think period type pain feelings could well be ov pains...the only thing I mapped on my chart prior to getting a good dollop of EWCM was lots of trumps!!!

I found it really helpful to keep a track of what 'symptoms' I had each month so I could easily see which ones meant that AF was on her way. If you like I can email it to you so you can use the template?

GS - sounds like you're having a fab time, I'm soooo jealous. I haven't had a proper holiday since before DS was born so feel like I'm beginning to run on empty. DH and i have six days holiday left and may try to get away in the autumn - then it won't be too hot for DS.

SesQal · 17/08/2008 20:22

Gruff - Glad you're enjoying your getaway cottage

LB - sorry you're feeling ill - not fun. Hope it passes quickly.

Glaskham - I'd say Cal is right about not having too much milk for the heartburn. Tums or Gaviscon or something similar should help if it's really bad (and as long as you don't have elevated blood pressure).

This afternoon and this evening I've been getting period pain type feelings - could this be ovulation pains? I've got another negative this afternoon on OPK though so I'm a bit confused. I guess this is the first full cycle that I've properly followed and monitored so I'm still learning.
I'm sure you all know what it's like though - I just really want to have success this month!!

GruffaloSoldier · 17/08/2008 19:30

Hey everyone!

Welcome Dal!

I love BB and X factor too!

I have just stopped off at home to feed fish, check post and get some clothes for the week and then I am back off to my holiday cottage!

We have had a lovely few days so far - have been swimming in the sunny pool everyday - the water is so warm! Unfortunately my brand new bikini top from bravissimo that wan't cheap and bought it b4 pg but hadn't yet worn it is now looking very much on the small size and also one boob seems to be enormous compared to the other! Had some friends down for the weekend too and had a nice country walk today too.

DH did a night cycle ride on Friday night - it started at midnight in London and then he rode to brighton, got there at 8am. He then decided it would be 'quicker' to ride home than get the train so he did He did 110 miles despite the sleep deprivation!!

I am getting slight nausea at the mo, nothing much really. Insomnia seems to have passed now and exhaustion seems to be setting in. I passed out on the sofa this afternoon!

When I eat at night my stomach seems to balloon up and I look so enormous it is very hard to hide!God knows what it will lbe like when I start showing!Boobs are sore too, worse at night.

Gosh sorry for huge me post but just wanted to catch up and I missed you all sooo much

Will try get on again soon but better get ready to go back now!

calsworld · 17/08/2008 18:38

Glask, I had heartburn a couple of weeks ago which I was very about as thought it was too early, but I read somewhere that it can happen as a response to the relaxin, it causes the muscles at the top of your tummy to relax allowing some acid reflux....it should pass. But, I'm fairly sure that you're supposed to drink water, not milk. Milk is alkali and whilst it neutralises the acid, it can cause your tummy to produce more acid as too much alkali is just as bad as too much acid. Water dilutes - perhaps invest in some tums?

I went through this last pregnancy and drank gallons of milk as heartburn was so bad - I ended up hospitalised with an acid burn in my oesophagus - incredibly bloody painful - at 29 weeks. Shan't be doing that again!! Water and tums all the way for me. They put me on tablets to stop my tummy producing acid for the remainder of the pregnancy and was very relieved.

It should pass soon though - until later when the baby is pushing on your tummy that is of course!

Ses - sounds like you're up for a pretty active few days, hope your DH is prepared!

KK, sorry you're all a bit mixed up, fingers crossed that like me you OV late so won't get a BFP till a bit later, but it could also be a long period due to stress....its never over till AF arrives.

can't remember anything else - sorry! Hello everyone!

We went swimming this afternoon and exhausted DS so hopefully he'll sleep well tonight - me too! I've managed another hours nap this afternoon whilst DS slept too - I'm having really strange dreams! Very vivid and surreal!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 17/08/2008 18:07

have been very tired and very busy so not been about much... feel like i need a full days solid sleep to set me up for the next week!!

DH goes back to work on tuesday after 2 wks off..... don't know how I'm gonna cope if i still feel this tired!! haha!!

LB- hope you've not caught your dd's bug for your sake, but if you have do make sure you get plenty of fluids like diege says!!

i've been getting really bad heartburn too.... constantly needing to drink milk.... so much i feel I'm craving already!! its too early for heartburn because of the pregnancy isn't it?

I'm starting to feel a bit sick in the morning too, was feeling sick with ds for 2 wks before i found out i was pg and i only found out at 6 wks.... so something tells me this could be the start of it, and hopefully points to a boy i have a feeling its a boy anyway.... and i was right with the other 2!!

Diege · 17/08/2008 17:07

Oh no lardy, sounds like you might have caught something off dd . I remember catching dd2's vomiting bug when I was pregnant with her on hols, and it's not plesant. Make sure you have lots of fluids .
Hi Tinks, Dalrhymps . Just getting Sunday lunch ready, so off till tomorrow I think. Looking forward to that (ch5 I think??) perfect vagina programme tonight .
