Ooops sorry, celery - wrong thread

Damn it, thought I was doing so well keeping the two threads apart today!

Bored here too Cals, though in a nice relaxed way .
Thanks Playing . I am not massively concerned how long ttc takes me tbh. This is my last baby, and while it would be nice to get a bfp this month part of me also wants to have a bit longer avoiding the stress/worry that will ineviatbly follow next time. But my head tells me I'll be 39 next year, and I need to get going. Plus I would like to be pregnant by the time of my due date (Feb 12th). Glad you're feeling a little less grotty...give it a few weeks and you'll be blooming and full of energy, promise
Right, I really must go and do something! Trying to convince myself olumpic weight-lifting is too good to miss , but the kitchen is a tip and I need to get the beds changed - arghh, I hate that job!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 19/08/2008 15:48

i've looked through all my ebay stuff and am very happy!! there are 155 vests and sleepsuits in all, about a third are newborn, a third 0-3 and the last third is 3-6 so i doubt i'll be needing any vests or sleepsuits!! Also there are lots of cute little booties, over 25 pairs of scratch mittens, and loads of them are brand new still!! some with tags on, some still in packets they came in!! and it only cost me £9!! I'm over the moon!!

most of it is unisex but about a handful of things in each side are boys, so lets hope this is the little man i'm after!!

other than that i'm still waiting in for the blimin courier, and missed an afternoon of shopping with my sister because of waiting in still!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/08/2008 15:47

I'm lurking in the back ground.

Have just bought DS2 a new high chair, we have one of those Chicco ones, cost £100 when we bought it last year, it is the most horrendous contraption you've ever laid your eyes on, much worse than celery . I've been saying for ages I want a different one, and finally got round to sorting it out

No more soaking straps in dettol, or taking it to pieces to get the raisins out of the seat parts Whoooo hooooooooooooooooo

I'm bored. What's everyone doing.....?

Playingthe9monthwait · 19/08/2008 14:58

Hi Deige. Pretty shitty tbh, but slightly less shitty then a week ago so think things are improving slightly. How about you? You seem in good spirits ttc again, I can't even imagine how hard it must be to start again. Fingers crossed thing will happen for you quickly.

Diege · 19/08/2008 14:20

Hi Playing! Good to hear from you . How are you feeling? Hope work isn't too taxing, and that you are getting plenty of rest in the evening.
Oh it sooo tiring just doing nothing . Meant to change the beds, but think I'll have a cuppa and read through Grazia .

Playingthe9monthwait · 19/08/2008 13:51

Afternoon all, thought I better check is as I've been AWOL without permission for a few days. .

Welcome all the newbies - the thread could certainly do with more ttcers, as many of us are now pg. Its amazing when you think about it. This thread started as a waiting ttc thread in Jan, so many of us had months to wait before ttcing yet so many of us are now pg. It must be a lucky thread.

Cal - work is really busy for me as well at the moment, not helped by me being a lot less on the ball right now. I also don't have time to be on here in the evening either really as I'm going to bed so early.

Glask - agree with everyone else, as sad as it is I think your friend isn't a real friend. She was the one that was out of order over the surrogacy business not you

Deige - the power of a new hair cut!

KK - sorry about you period. Think next month might be you and Deiges motnh!

Can't for the life of me think what else I was going to say now, so I think I better leave it at that.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 19/08/2008 13:47

probably from the 24th something could show... but thats if you dont mind seeing a bfp because its too early?? i got my first (very) faint bfp on the saturday, and i wasn't due till the monday, so 3 days before AF was due...

emlou84 · 19/08/2008 13:28

you guys r great!! having people to talk to when something happens! i had a sinking feeling when it happen but oh well if its not PG we'll hav eto try again next month!! more being puncd on for my dh!! he loves it really. when do you think i could do a test AF due 28/8

calsworld · 19/08/2008 13:02

Hi NJ - where have i been? Umm don't know really....been trying to stay off in the evenings a little as not spending much time with DH since getting the bfp!

During the day am struggling to get on as I have soooo much work to do. Am missing deadlines left right and centre and under quite alot of pressure - did wonder if this was the reason for my high BP reading yesterday.

Would be nice to get signed off work for the next 32 weeks but somewhat unlikely!

Diege · 19/08/2008 12:44

Hello! Back from hairdressers, feeling all 'swishy' though rain on the way back didn;t help . Have been having a chat with hairdresser and she says that next time I'm pregnant she's got a new technique for covering roots that's safe in pregnancy - sort of like highlights, using foils, so that the colour doesn't touch the scalp (although I know colouring is pretty much safe, I'm super-paranoid after mc). She can't wait to try it so fingers crossed I don't keep her waiting too long!EM, sounds pretty mich like implantation bleed to me, so fingers crossed .
Cals, I've always had high (ish) blood pressure at beginning of pregnancy, and my midwife said a single reading is nothing to worry about. They'll keep an eye on it if it creeps up at subsequent appointments, but it's taken as a baseline to measure other measurements. My measurements stayed same throughout, and no-one was concerned as there were no sudden rises
GLASK, enjoy the newborn clothes! I gave all of mine to sister, who I hope has kept some of them!
Hello to everyone else, lol Nat at dipping explanation - seems quite a 'vintage' thing now on this thread! It was funny how we all moved onto the full explosions before our times!
Right, will try and catch up on Olympics before a leisurely lunch and a flick through Heat and Grazia. It's a hard life

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/08/2008 12:23

LOL KK, dipping was indeed the hot topic of conversation on some of the earlier wagoner threads It was at the time that so many of us were waiting very impatiently to jump off the wagon, and dipping was the best we could hope for

Em, I think you would normally expect implantation bleeding around or after your expected period due date.

Cal, where have you been? Shame about the MW retiring, will you meet her replacement before then? Lots of feet up and rest for you young lady, let's get the BP down, while MN'ing the days away

OP posts:
glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 19/08/2008 12:17

i had a bit of pink the day before my bfp, and also got some actually tiny blood clots on the of my first bfp... i'm gathering that was maybe late implantation bleeding.

Dalrymps · 19/08/2008 12:01

emlou84 - I haven't or at least if I have I didn't notice... Sounds a bit like it though if your AF isn't due yet. Roll on 28th Aug!

calsworld · 19/08/2008 11:52

chatterboxes - haven't got a clue what's been going on!....welcome to the newbies!

Emlou - its possible? You'll probably have to wait and see what happens though I'm afraid...

KK - sorry for TEW - at least you've got Diege as cycle buddy this time round

Glaskham - sorry to hear about your traumas, I echo everything NJ (and others) has said on the subject

Feel like a bit of a weight is off my shoulders now I've met the MW and she was nice. The only negative points of the booking in was a) she retires at christmas and b) my blood pressure was quite high when its usually on the low side....she said we'd see what it was doing at my next appt. which isn't till 16 weeks and seems ages away!

emlou84 · 19/08/2008 11:30

has anyone experienced implantation bleeding? i just been to toiley and wiped and some dark brownish discharge not blood type substance? sorry for tmi!! not due on for another 7/8 days

Dalrymps · 19/08/2008 11:19

ooh how exciting glaskham, i've still got ds's clothes so not bought any more at the moment. However I have been buying lots of maternity clothes from ebay and the blooming marvellous sale. The reason being, I spent most of my last pregnancy in painting clothes and felt very frumpy (we'd just moved house and were decorating) so this time decided I want to look at least presentable! Enjoy playing with all the newborn vetst

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 19/08/2008 10:27

Thanks KK... i think i've rid my hands of her now... i've had tears and tantrums about it all morning and some of yesterday too... i don't see why i should be made to feel so bad....

anyway onto a nicer subject.... I won a bundle of baby clothes on ebay... the woman is dropping them off for me this afternoon as she's passing, its mostly unisex, and i've been collecting both girls and boys clothes since before i was even ttc... i made the mistake of selling my dc's clothes, so have been getting a nice stock of clothes in both sexes just in case... and if i have a boy and my sister has a girl i will give her all the girls stuff, or vice-versa...

I'm all exited to be getting some newborn sleepsuits and vests!!.... i know some will see it as bad luck, but if i had kept my dc's clothes it'd already be here etc...

kookykid · 19/08/2008 10:17

Glask, it sounds like you did try and that's more than a lot of people would do!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 19/08/2008 10:14

KK- if she wasn't DD's godmother i'd not want anything more to do with her, but i felt i owed it to DD to at least try and salvage a little of the friendship so we could be civil and DD could still know her godmother.

I suppose most children aren't bothered about who their godparents are anyhow... I dont see 2 of my godparents any more, haven't since i was about 8... so i suppose DD wont be missing out on much.

kookykid · 19/08/2008 10:09

Morning eveyone. Thanks for all your messages - can't tell you how good it is to get them when feeling grrrrrrr at AF!

Welcome Dal and Em and anyone else I missed. I was on Cerazette, stopped taking it and got pg with my DD about 5 months later. Hard to believe we weren't even trying that hard!

Glask, your 'friend' doesn't sound like much of one! I'd ditch her TBH. I'm sure your DD has many good adult infulences in her life already and this bad feeling seems like something that's not going to go away. If she wasn't a godmother would it feel easier? Sorry and for you.

NJ - PMSL at "dipping"!!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 19/08/2008 10:00

its odd hearing everyone saying they are gonna pounce on their OH's when they get home. we've only GOF'd once since our BFP... if it had been a BFN i'd be pouncing on DH when he got home too!!

Dalrymps · 19/08/2008 09:58

Hmm I think it maybe as glaskham said then, I would be mid cycle now so that maybe why i've got leaky boobs, stopped bfing about 5 months ago.
I had the GOF only 1 or 2 days after I finished my last AF iirc, last AF was from 6th to 10th aug. I don't know about signs this early with ds cause he was a suprise but I do remember having very tender breasts but that was more around the time my AF was due.
Looking at the evidence I theink it's VERY unlikely and i'm probably just being paranoid. It would be nice although i'd rather wait till Jan, ah well, whatever will be will be.
