Evening all,

NJ - Glad scan went well and that you found out it's a boy! I'd LOVE a boy next time, but would just be happy to be pregnant at all! Have you got any names picked out - my sister had 3 boys and had a nightmare choosing DS3's name as she said she'd already used up her favourite names already!

Gruff - so glad doc and employers were supportive. I'm sure all is OK - I rememebr getting all kinds of funny cramps etc during my pg with DD (and panicking each and every time). Thinking of you!

Hi everyone else.

DH was determined to do a BarBQ tonight as weather OK, but we've ended up doing it all on the grill instead. I'm not sorry as it's too cold for me out there! I am also savouring a large glass of red. lovely!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 20/08/2008 19:59

wow cals!! very impressive!! I can only reply to one person at a time!!

its not twins.... i'm almost certain of that!! must be because i'm not eating as much as normal but drinking twice as much then!!

calsworld · 20/08/2008 19:52

Hello all - have had terrible day at work today, still got lots to do and supporting newbies and junior people is delaying things even further.....can't wait to tell everyone that I'm not going to be there for most of next year (hopefully!).

Glask, I was the same as you 'blew' up in the early stages but am fine again now, I think with digestive system slowing down and sudden demand for lots of extra fluid bloating and water retention are really likely! Maybe it will pass...

Then again, maybe its twins !

Gruff - Really pleased you saw the doctor and she was so sensible and reactive for you. Also relieved that your employers were so understanding today - it takes a lot of stress away which is just what you needed. Hope it all stays relaxed for you.

NJ - Fab news, your boys are going to be soooo excited . Is DH pleased too?

Tink - only a week to go till your scan, you must be excited, hasn't it gone quick!

Now, who's poorly....sorry my memory is like a sieve these days - when I was poorly in Feb I had a stonking 41 day period - even the GP was convinced I was going to get a BFP! So I'd say yes, being even a little bit under the weather can have an effect on ovulation.

Waves to Dalrymps, Glaskam, Diege, Playing, Ses, KK, GYo, Emlou....

How'd I do?

Dalrymps · 20/08/2008 18:25

Nat - Shopping sounds fun, I love newborn clothes
Gruff - glad the bleeding has stopped and that your doc was helpful. Good that you got some rest too.
Well i'm off to visit pils for a bit so night all, back tomorrow

tinkisnearlyhalfway · 20/08/2008 18:13

glad that all went well with the dr.
agree go on as much as you like nat

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 20/08/2008 17:53

i keep nearly being sick... but not feeling sick, and now have a burning acid feeling/taste in my throat feel a bit poo!!

Playingthe9monthwait · 20/08/2008 17:45

Glad everything seems ok Gruf. Sure you would have known by now if anything worse is happening, glad you gp is taking it seriously.

Really am very happy for you Nat, no wonder you can't stop smiling!

I paid £50 for my dating scan at 8 weeks.

Right, only really checked in to check out! Off home now.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 20/08/2008 17:43

Not long to go for a dating scan then?

OP posts:
MKG · 20/08/2008 17:41

Yup.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 20/08/2008 17:41

Would getting a private scan be an option? Have seen people on here saying they paid only around £40 for a very reassuring scan.

OP posts:
GruffaloSoldier · 20/08/2008 17:38

Yes Diege I agree that you would think as bleeding was only short and now none existent that this would be a good sign - lets hope so!

NJ - I think it is put at rest as much as it can be, Ive just got to try and be patient - I just want to know for sure that everything is ok - waiting is not my strong point though!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 20/08/2008 17:34

LOL MKG Do you get scans at similar times over there?

OP posts:
NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 20/08/2008 17:32

Well there's not much more to tell really anyway!

Awww DS1 and DS2, DS2 has a few (probably stale) frazzles left (crisps !!) they both went to get the last one, DS2 picked it up, ate some of it, and gave the rest to DS1 Mmmm soggy crisps, nice!

Good thanks, am 11 weeks already and hoping for a girl. Not that I would know what to do with one .

Diege · 20/08/2008 17:26

Hi Nat! x-posts...no please feel free to go on as much as you want about the scan. Tis so exciting, and I personally like as much detail as possible

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 20/08/2008 17:26

G'night Diege

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 20/08/2008 17:25

Sorry x posts Gruff. I hope the doc managed to put your mind at rest enough to relax a bit. I have heard before that a UTI can cause slight bleeding.

Is it enough to put your mind at rest? Because if not, go back, you deserve to be left feeling well, not all wound up.

OP posts:
Diege · 20/08/2008 17:24

Gruff!! Good to hear from you, and glad things are sounding so positive Surely bleeding would have continued if there was anything amiss? Sounds like you've got a good GP there .
Right, probably last post from me today so speak tomorrow. Night all

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 20/08/2008 17:23

Tink I think I had the same sort of percentages in my head, there is, and always will be, a part of me that wanted a girl, probably with me having 4 sisters! But at the same time I would be so scared ofhaving a girl! DH and I were watching Eastenders last night, and saying about that Lucy character, I told DH I'd lock any daughter of mine up till she's 21 LOL It is the unknown though, people with all girls will say the same about boys, and those with both sexes just get on with it!

And I will admit it, it would have been lovely to buy pink, but will just have to wait for my grand daughter to come along now

MKG, thanks How are you doing?

And, thanks to everyone It is very exciting but am going to leave it here, as I don't think this thread is the best place for it! And I am all me me me today, well not really me, but boy boy boy!

Hello all

Thanks for all your messages!

Have had no more bleeding but woke up with really bad cramps so I was very worried and in tears! I phoned my mum first who said to go to docs and take day off - in my heart I knew I couldn't go to work I was so worried. I phoned my employer and told him and he was very understasnding - his wife then text me later to see if I needed anything and that she was there if I needed her. That was nice.

I went to docs and she took urine sample and said that brown blood and so little of it probably isn't anything to worry about and she was more concerned about pain so she has sent off sample to be tested as there was protein found in urine so just need to wait as it might be infection and see if I bleed anymore (which so far there hasn't been) So its just a metter of keeping my fingers crossed and waiting. She said if anymore bleeding then I would be sent for early scan.

I'm sorry I didn't post early but I have slept ALL DAY

Of course I am still concerned but there is nothing I can do and just have to wait and see what happens.

NJ - congrats on baby being a boy

Hope everyone else is good!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 20/08/2008 17:20

i felt a tad like that tink when wanting dd to be a girl... however much i wanted one of each ideally (as i thought dd was my last) i was a tad scared- but they are both fab!! both have different personalities, but get on fab!!

tinkisnearlyhalfway · 20/08/2008 17:09

about 97% of me really wants to have a boy as have already got a girl and this is our last one so want to experience both genders.
the other 3% is abit scared as i am so used to a girl what you do with a boy

MKG · 20/08/2008 17:09

Congrats to NJ!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 20/08/2008 17:06
