***TAKING CLOMID FOR THE FIRST TIME - PART 2***

Hi Valv and Lauralou!

Im obviously on clomid but i had to take provera to start my period and clomid day 2-6.

Weirdly my 2nd cycle gave me a period day 21, which apparently is very strange,so now i have to wait until the morning do a pregnancy test and if its negative im to start clomid tommorrow pretending its my day 2 and take 2 tablets..... so strange.....

WOuldnt it be great if i did the test and it said i was preggers.... like thats gonna happen but its a nice thought...

i ve also gotta have a blood test AGAIN on day 21..... yuck!!!

I wonder if there is someone this has happened too....

Hi lauralou, he put me on 50mg for 5 days, he said since i hadnt had a period in so long i obviously was not ovulating, he told me i could start taking it immediately and count the first day as cycle day 1, he said i should ovulate around cd 10-15. going by his instruction im now cd 30 and no period, he told me at my app if i dont have a period and not pregnant go ahead with a second course of 50mg for 5 days.

i dont understand why your doctor has given you clomid and not provera or anything else to bring on a bleed if you go online and look up clomid it will tell you that you have to start it normally cd2 of your period coming if you havent had a oeriod then how will your body no when its time to ovulate ?

what dosage has he put you on ? and what days did you start it as you havent had a period so how will you no what day you are

i wont have a choice but chill as last clomid cycle this month and then got to wait for fertility clinic to refer me and get appointment so while am waiting not much chance of BFP

Anyway at least its xmas soon and am getting into the spirit and even started wrapping presents.

I have another week left - my breasts are hot and a little painful today too, but surely too early for any symptoms? I have read that clo can shorten cycles so may just be working up to AF I guess.

Not confident about this month, month 1 BFP would be fab but I am a realist - fingers always crossed though

I had a cramping sensation which i was advised was most likely ovulation...

My periods had stopped to, so im not sure why they have not prescribed you provera to bring on your period, i was always told this was the procedure, but i may be wrong...

i didnt think clomid can help without a bleed...

I think everyone is different on here and we csan only do what weve been advised, i just feel like the more they are trying and errorring on me im wasting time on Clomid and the months its not working.....

Hi georgie & pinkie, dunno how i managed to calculate i was on day 36, i must have added an extra week in there im only on day 29 counting day 1 the first day of clomid. i havent had a period since i come off the pill over a year ago so my specialist told me to take the clomid immediately he didnt give me anything to bring on a bleed, so im not really sure what cycle day im on. he told me if nothing happens go ahead with my second course of 50mg which i'll take next week because i read you can take it at least 30days after the first one. So i'll test then to see...ooh fingers crossed. have any of you had cramps after taking clomid?

I am on my last cycle this time so i have been in touch with the gynae's secretary (who is really nice lady) and he has agreed to refer me to a fertility specialist.

I guess now i will have to wait for the specialist to get in touch and then the tests start again so in for a long wait.

Yeah maybe.... i think the trying gets to you after a while.... what will be your plan if the clomid dont work?? what are the next steps?

Really..... well it was average like a proper period...im sure that was my period for this month....

Georgie did you bleed alot, i had mid cycle spotting in my second month of clomid but it only lasted a day and was really light.

The gynae said not to worry

Valz, my goodness i would be soooo excited at the possibility id be pregnant if i was you day 36 wow thats a long cycle....

Id do a test.....

Im a bit confused myself now as i had a bleed day 21 and today is day 28 and no bleed rang hospital they advised me to hang as they never come accross this before.... trust it to be me that has the awkward cycles.....

You should ov 10 -15 days after your last tablet.

CD1 is the first day of bleed not first day of clomid, unless they are one of the same

Valz day 36 is that a long cycle for you, pains could be a good sign.

If you have increased CM its a good sign for fertility as long as its Egg white in consistency.

hi newhere, i took my 1st course of clomid recently finished last pill on 14/11/08. round about days 20-25 i took bad cramps as well, and was askin what they were, one person thought i may have hit it lucky, ive read on other threads they are possibly ovulation cramps, if they were ive ovulated very very late cuz my specialist said it would be around day 10-15 so im a bit confused. today is day 36 counting day 1 as the first day i took clomid. im in the same boat, any info would be great?

Sorry, really stupid question but just need some advice if poss. Ok so I'm CD 20 and I have noticed an increase in CM over the last couple of days, this is my first round of Clo so not sure if this is just normal. I have also had some crampy type pains too if that's any help?

Any advice would be welcome....

hi ray seems like ur having a crap time. as pinkie says it puts things into perspective.
Im having a crap day to. a girl at work last night told me she was pg by accident. Why does that happen to anybody but us. So there are now another 2 pg and both of them then decided to scan thier bellies with a machine we have at work, which just made me feel even worse.
Im now on my 2ww and am desperate to know if this clomid has worked. got to have my progesterone test on monday so fingers crossed those 2 little follicles got big enough to do anything.

What can i say, i feel despondent and down but your situation puts it in perspective.

when do you start your tests, my gynae has agreed to refer me to a specialist which is good but who knows how long that may all take.

Hi Pinkie so sorry that it seems to have failed again for you this month.

I feel like shit today i had a call from the Midwife to see how my pregnancy is progressing and i had to tell her that i had Miscarried she didnt even know the NHS is a sham, needless to say i got off the phone and was in tears so i now have the biggest headache and dont want to do anything. I was coping so well up until this FFS why so these things happen to me.

I realy have to accept that i am not going to have anymore children and just deal with it already although it hurts like hell.

i only have one ound of clomid left and am feeling very despondent. The gynae has agreed to refer me to the fertility specialist locally to home which is good but it can take ages to get an appointment or for the treatment to start.

Im back from Euro Disney, not exactly the romantic break lol.... for some reason i had a bleed, and it was only day 21in my cycle... has this ever happened to anyone before seems such a waste of a month.... only 4 months left on clomid..... Is it my period?? do you think i should call the hospital???
