Hi everyone..back from hols..
AF came yesterday!!was expecting it though after my bfn last week. Started second round of clomid today so keeping everything crossed (except my legs!!)sorry . .

Cycle was 32 days which is very good for me as been having long cycles so clomid must be doing something for me! so i'll be due next AF around 10th September..Are you all staying with me?

Hows everyone doing??

mootie · 04/08/2008 07:54

Hello AF, two days early. Who invited you?
Sigh.
Have promised DH a playstation 3 if he can duff me up next month...
That's a joke. Probably.

busylady · 03/08/2008 16:36

hey there everyone - congrats lala - my AF turned up last week, only 3 days of bleeding so goodness only knows what my cycle was doing....

anyway, am on cd6 so getting ready for holidays on wednesday and lot's of relaxed BD'ing!

x

good luck everyone else!

LaLaBingBong · 03/08/2008 09:26

Thanks Mootie. I have used a Boots pink cross test this morning andf it seems to work just fine! It's a good way to make sure you don't test too early!
Good luck to you!

Abstractmouse - that sounds awful. Poor poor you. What sort of test was it? How strange.

AbstractMouse · 02/08/2008 15:30

I had the lovely experience of getting a bfp only for af to come 5 minutes later I am never buying a stupid pg test again.

mootie · 02/08/2008 08:52

Congratulations Lala, that's great, great news!
I'm still holding off, AF due on 6th. I only have cheap Boots own-brand tests that say they are only good from day you are due, so by being cheap I have cleverly prevented myself from testing early. Too clever for my own good.
I was quite sanguine about it all for the past week or so, but am starting to get nervy.
By the way, anyone know what's the earliest someone has got a BFP? Do FR early tests really work 5 or 6 days before you are due??

LaLaBingBong · 02/08/2008 07:35

Morning everyone, and thanks Bigtree and bluebutterfly, bluebutterfly - you don't sound paranoid. If it was me I'd want to know if there was a problem or not. I have a irregular cycle too, and think this months success was due to doing the deed all the way through (about every other day and then a more intense week of it similar to you.) As I can never actually tell or predict when I ov due to irregularity. Must have been early this month though. I hope you have a fun month trying anyway.

bigtree - well done for holding off the tests. I hope you have a lovely holdiday, and catch up when you get back.

How's everyone else doing? Tomorrow is the 3rd after all!

Congratulations la la so chuffed for you!!
Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy . .

I've still refrained from testing, very proud of myself!to be honest think i'm scared of seeing another negative so holding out till next weekend before i test thats if af doesn't arrive Monday, think it will though getting cramping on and off now and having loads of discharge (sorry tmi) although never normally have the cramping untill 2nd day of af,have convinced myself it's the side effects of clomid though.

Hows everyone else??

Going away tomorrow so will catch up with you all soon..

Good luck ladies x x x

Bluebutterfly · 01/08/2008 19:27

Congratulations LaLa - that is such good luck for you! Best wishes for a healthy, happy pgy and birth!

Dh and I are getting tested - I know it sounds paranoid - but it is a year and a half and secondary infertility is not unheard of unfortunately. We will keep on trying though - I have 6 consecutive days of sex pencilled in to my calendar this month to cover all ovulating eventualities with my irregular cycle. Dh is feeling very lucky!

Best wishes to everyone else, too!

LaLaBingBong · 01/08/2008 17:53

Thanks AbstractMouse. Am so excited. It doesn't feel real though. Have done rather a few too many pregnancy tests to confirm it though!

I think you can get a pink cross on Sainsbury's own brand. Either sainsbury's own or Tesco's actually.

How's everyone else doing?

Mrsleroy and bluebutterfly and ebeson - booh, how rotten. Fingers crossed for next time.
I'm sitting on my hands and resisting voice in my head telling me to try 6 days before AF is due.
Hey ho, trying to think about other things, lahdidah, what's for dinner, anything good on tv?

AnnVan · 31/07/2008 01:23

Ive only ever used clearblue tests they give a very definite result. Big + popped up super quick. There was no doubt I was pg. Good luck all!!

AbstractMouse · 31/07/2008 00:20

Sorry to hear that ebeson but plenty of time yet, does anyone know where you can get pink +/- tests? had this one with dd but haven't seen any since.

AbstractMouse · 31/07/2008 00:15

Hi all, hows it going for you lalabingbong?

I have tested a couple of times with the cheap tests and get an ultra faint line, which is crap because I also did one with water and that had a faint line too lol.

Think I'm out this month but never mind, I have a couple of fr which I intend to use if I'm ever actually late (so not buying ebay ones again).

Although I tested with fr with ds and that was just as faint as the savers ones grr. Can't somebody invent a test that either stays totally blank or has a very strong line dependant on presence of hcg, not amount, can't be that bloody hard.

But then again theres always that hope, I think I'm 11dpo so wont count any chickens until af shows.

Good luck everyone.

ebeson · 30/07/2008 22:49

Hi LaLa, i have to admit i tested today with a FR and yes it was neg of course. My cycle is between 30-34 days and the FR said you could use up to 6 days early. My 30th day would be friday and 34th day would be tues. If i was to be lucky im sure it would have to be my longer cycle for me to of got caught, so prob was too early to test. Im mad i know but just couldnt help myself, now i feel quite sad even though i really dont think i am this time anyway.

LaLaBingBong · 30/07/2008 21:13

Mrsleroy and bluebutterfly - Good luck next month. It's so dissapointing when AF arrives, but just keep thinking about how next month might be the one.

anniemac fingers still crossed for you.

So bigtree are you still holding off the tests? I'm very impressed!

abstractmouse, mootie, ladyhelen2 and ebeson - how's the wait going for you all?

bigtree · 30/07/2008 20:59

your right butterfly we've all got to stay positive!af due monday have kept to my word(up to now)no more tests!i know deep down that it hasn't happened for me this month so the sooner i come on the sooner i can start my new more positive hopefully lucky cycle!!

Good luck Ladies..see you soon x

Bluebutterfly · 30/07/2008 19:30

anniemac - I am out too - defo got AF today. Irregular cycles make TTC SOOOO hard.

Welcome mootie and good luck for this month.

bigtree it's still so early so don't feel down about it.

I've never used a clearblue digital either. Are they the ones that just say 'pregnant'? That would make it all so much easier rather than just staring at a line that might or might not be there.

How are you this morning Mrsleroy? abstractmouse - my AF signs are headache and crampy tummy and sometimes a bit of an upset tummy. And last time I was pregnant I felt all these amplified like I was about to have the mother of all periods! I think a diary might help, but it might just make you analyse every thing even more.

I know what you mean about feeling luky after reading these boards. I get so impatient that it isn't happening straight away like last time, then have to tell myself how lucky I am aleady.

Well - it's wed. Who's been testing?

AbstractMouse · 30/07/2008 00:35

Hi mootie and ladyhelen btw

I know how you feel mootie, we concieved dd by accident and with ds we just stopped using condoms and I cockily thought I would just get pregnant the first month (I did).

This time we have only had unprotected sex once each month with this being the third, and the first time dp has agreed to ttc. Think it will be a dent to his ego if I don't get pg in the next couple of months, especially with actually bd'ing more often (aww poor bloke lol).

Since reading these boards I have come to realise we have just been lucky and it may take longer this time, theres no predicting it.

My Mum had 4 babies without any trouble before me, then took 2.5 years to concieve me and she was only 34. I do worry about fertility problems though as we would have a cat in hells chance of getting NHS help.
