Hi all

Good luck ceebee tody - hope all is well.

My prediction is for a boy for mjim. Will add my name next!

Well HC - as predicted - my temp rocketed this morning, indicating I ov'd yesterday (cd16). I feel we did all we could this month as we bd'd on cd 13, 14, 15 & 16 . So now it is DPO1 and the beginning of the 2ww...hold hands HC?

Can't stop - off to docs with dd. She needs antibiotics for her infected excema which has developed into impetigo - looking proper scabby at the moment!!

Have got an appointment with the consultant this afternoon to get the blood test results back from the last scan we had - I am working on the basis that 'no news is good news' so as it has been 3 weeks and we have had no contact from MW/hospital, I am assuming they were all clear but trying to expect the worst aswell iyswim. Can't say I am looking forward to it Keep your fingers crossed for me this afternoon.

daisyj · 05/08/2008 14:01

Hi all. Just popping in briefly as work super-busy because my assistant's away. Am not that important, BTW, just have an assitant as job too big for one person!

ChocEclair - I don't dare either - am not joining ante-natal thread till 12-week scan, but have to confess to lurking once or twice. I've only read the first few pages, but the March ladies sound lovely. If Mandy is joining too, then I reckon you should join March with us, as you're only 1 April.

Mandy - such a lottery the NHS. We get nuchal scans for free here (Lewisham). I was feeing quite queasy till about 11.30, but better now and more energy than the last few days. I know what you mean about sometimes 'forgetting' - I'm quite pleased when that happens.

HC - Everything crossed for you. I'm almost as nervous for you as I was on my own 2ww (particularly since I totally didn't think I was pg)

Looking forward to my doc appointment tomorrow morning, so I'll be 'in the system' and hopefully have an 8-week scan date soon. Acupuncture appointment tonight, so should help with relaxing. I was in a bit of a state yesterday morning, worrying about leak in roof, baby, money, you name it I was worrying about it, but meditated last night and this morning and it seems to have made a big difference.

Dawn - I wish I could say about your story, but I've heard so many awful things on mn about EPU waiting rooms from women who've mc'd. I think they should put up signs asking that people respect everyone's reasons for being there (and make sure staff enforce it), particuarly when some of the EPU waiting room are the same place or next to where women wait for terminations. Shocking...

I go for girl for MJIM too. Anyone dare to break with the consensus now?

HumphreysCorner · 05/08/2008 13:56

Mjim: I can't believe you only have just ober 8 weeks left, it seems to have gone so fast! I am guessing girl for you also.

Glad you all think the numb bum is funny! It is quite amusing in that it makes me get up and do other things when I don't really feel like it. The heartburn really is the pits, but I wouldn't trade it for the world and in a nice way, I am wishing heartburn on the rest of you too.

Right, grandparents have just informed me they are coming and my house looks like a bomb went off, best shove stuff in a closet!

HumphreysCorner · 05/08/2008 13:16

ChocEclair-getting things moving in the midwife department makes it all seem real, However, if/when I do get PG I think I might wait until about 9 weeks until I phone up then I should have full PG symptoms (hopefully) and it also is less time to wait until the 12 week scan. I am so trying not to obsess symptom spot but am failing miserably. My (.)(.) are tingling and very tender and have the usual cramping. Why oh why do we have to wait 2 weeks FGS? May even keep off the wine this week.

MJIM-still can't believe you will have another little one by my B'Day 8th Oct. Oh, if you are a tad late he/she might share it with me.

Hey, shall be predict the sex of MJIM's bubba?

I predict a girl.

morning ladies

I'm loving being on summer hols so I can actually keep up with this thread!

Hi to MJIM - 8 weeks and counting! OMG! Are you still decided on the names then?

HM2J - we missed you! The heartburn souns rubbish although the numb bum is just funny! Hope it's all going well otherwise. Is your bump still growing rapidly?

bluestar - my opk lines were always really feint aswell. I took them as my +ves. Sounds like ov is approaching - this could be your month! Glad the preseed worked well!

HC - any symptoms? or are you TNTO?(trying not to obsess)?

Mandy - have I read that correctly that you are NOT having a 10 week scan just the nuchal scan? How much does that cost? How is the queasiness today?

detox - how are you doing? Have you eased up on the BDing yet? lol! Hope you had a nice drink with your friend the other night

I am very proud of myself today and I phoned the midwife. This was the lady who we got the letter for the booking in appointment last time on the actual day of the MC. I was so upset that DP had to ring her and tell her! However, thought it was time to admit that I am actually pg and set things in motion! She is calling me back later!

Daisyj/Mandy - have either of you joined the antenatal thread yet? I honestly don't think I dare.

Have a lovely day everyone (mine is a dvd/duvet day! )

HumphreysCorner · 05/08/2008 11:48

bluestar-as I said before my lines are always very feint. Sounds good to me.

HC - I've been doing my OPKs (from Sunday night) every 12 hours. I think I had a faint line this morning...made DH check and he agrees. But it's not like the control line...I agree OV (hopefully!! fingers and toes crossed) will be any day now!! My temps are nice and stable at the moment, so I should see an increase. Weird that your temps are increasing gradually like that! maybe it's a good sign..?

HM2J - don't feel bad about just popping in every now and then...it's lovely to hear from you and how things are going!! PMSL thinking of you chuckling away cos your bum's gone numb!! The heartburn doesn't sound much fun though!

Mandy - I was looking at the stats and can't believe how quickly the weeks have gone by!! Although I'm not surprised you 'forget' sometimes, I'm sure as you get bigger you won't be able to!

Morning all,

V clever method of getting boiler man to focus on his job HC.

Hope everyone is well. I've got a lot going on with work right now, so much so I sometimes 'forget' (!!) momentarily I'm PG. Always really lovely when I 'remember' again though. Lower tum feels heavy, getting v sleepy in the evenings & a bit queezy in the mornings but so far can't complain at all. Still worrying & knicker-checking a lot though - I suppose you do after a spotting scare.
Having a private nuchal scan in week 12 so shouldn't go for my dating scan in w 10 (that's what the technician said during my early-scare scan at least). Can't wait.

Have a good day all. xx

HumphreysCorner · 05/08/2008 10:19

Morning ladeez

Dawn and ChocEclair-I can believe how it was for you in the EPU. Appalling!

detoxdiva-have you had a temp rise? My temps are rising at 0.1 per day-v. bizarre as they normally rocket after OV.

bluestar-sounds like OV is any day now. Keep testing so you don't miss it.

Heartmum-always lovely to hear of your progress. If I get heartburn as bad this time as with DD2 I think I will visit the Dr like my hairdresser did. She got her Gaviscon type liquid on prescription so it was free. I spent a fortune last time. When I was in labour they gave me a tablet which worked immediately.

Am just defrosting the freezer-always do it in June when the man comes to service the boiler as he likes to talk and I keep myself busy doing that so I can chat at the same time or he would be there all day. This year as we can't afford oil at the moment he hasn't been able to service it hence it needing an urgent defrost.

Mum and dad want to take me and the girls to Bridlington for the day on Friday and I'm trying to make enquiries to see if Beach Huts can be hired for they day. Doubt it as I suspect they are privately owned-will see if I get a reply to my E-Mail.

Hope you all have a good day. Catch up later.

Hi everyone!

I feel bad for only popping on every few days/once a week. I actually have no idea what is going on with anyone, but am sad to see Dawns names back on the Bonking list.

I am either very tired from being awake all hours of the night with the worst heartburn of any of my pregnancies (I am still trying to enjoy it.... I WILL enjoy it because I am NOT doing this again, lol!). If it isn't heartburn, my butt goes numb after justb a few minutes in front of the computer, lol! I actually think that is quite funny.

I hope the rest of you are holding up and doing well. I think of you all often.

Morning ladies,

I hope everyone is okay this morning!!!

Tried out the pre-seed last night and I thought it was pretty good. In fact I preferred it to the sachets. Anyhow getting mad now, cos I am still getting '-' OKPs and I've had no OV pain and no temp rise...so definitely haven't OV'ed yet. According to last month, I should OV today...but with another '-' OKP this morning, who knows when I will. I did get some slightly stretchy CM yesterday, so I'm wondering if this is the start of my fertile phase. I'm not sure how easy checking CM will be today, having used pre-seed yesterday.

Anyhow here's the updated stats for the day:
