Morning ladeez

detox-I see you got your nice red crosshairs confirming OV. Don't worry about your drop today.

bluestar-you haven't put todays temp on yet so can't stalk you......yet.

Heeby-any news? Thinking of you.

Meeting my friends today at a soft play pub so morning drinks and choccy then lunch. Am I allowed to eat for 2 even though not PG? Getting to the stage where I think what is the point of dieting as I'll only put weight on soon. But that soon might be months away and like last pregnancy was over 11st before I even got PG. If I can just stay under 8st 7lb then will only be 10st 7lb at my biggest as I only gain 2 stone when PG.

Hello to everyone else. Check back later.

Heeby, sending you bucket loads of good luck for today hun. Hoping that the news is good for you. Even if it just says that everything is fine - that will be a relief in itself.

Bellie, MJIM, DaisyJ and everyone else, thanks for all your continued support. Actually feel a bit AFy this morning. Slight cramping around abdomen and lower back. Very different to the MC pains I had and very much like AF pains. Bugger!! Oh well, normally mine only last a couple of days so I might be lucky!!

Can't believe the spots on my chin though!! They've come up like boils - about four of them! Must be the hormones settling down I guess. We've actually got DH's niece's 21st birthday on Saturday so we're going out for a family meal. Really don't want to go though with spots like this. For any of you that have ever suffered bad spots, you'll know how I feel. Makes you feel really low and miserable....

Morning all,

Mandy, hope you had a lovely evening, wow 1st Anniversary! We are celebrating our 10th this year!!

Dawn, sorry that things havn't settled down yet, it sounds as though you just need to give your body a little bit more time. It must be frustrating though, when you have decided to try again straight away. Have lots of hugs and cuddles with your dh instead.

Heeby, I hope that we all can get to the bottom of your symptoms soon. Don't worry about letting us down, it's you that we are concerned for! Hope you manage to get some answers after the blood test - how long do you have to wait?

HC - hmm maybe your mum knows!! My mum said to me the day before my +ve test, there is something going on with you - not just the loosing weight - there is something else, not sure what but there is!!!

Majormoo - wow what a wonderful couple of days it sounds like. I am trying to think of things to do with dd before beanie makes an appearance.

MJIM - it is getting exciting for us, so you must be getting really excited now - it is wonderful to be with you every step of the way!

Wellies, glad that the cm is calming down. You will have to stay till the end too, so we can see if the old wives tale is true!! I managed to find some jogging bottom cut offs with elasticated waist that got me through weeks 10-12 before I succumbed to maternity clothes!!

Waves to ce, bb, detox, bsl and everyone else!

Heebychick · 06/08/2008 23:11

Thanks guys, lots of love to you all, i really wish i could come back on tomorrow with some good news for you all as i feel there are now lots of us suffering from my symptoms and i don't want to let you all down!!

dawn yes i totally understand and i said the same thing, i MC at 5 weeks and said i wouldn't test early again. But of course then i got symptoms ... but i still waited until the 4 weeks rather than being very early like before, it does take some of the excitement out of it i think, but i guess you have to think that this is a new time and you owe it to yourself and pip to focus all your energy in looking forward etc.

Totally understand how you feel, i really do.

Well nite nite ladies, sleep well and although i am sure there won't be good news tomorrow at least this time tomorrow i might have had a blood test and be on my way to getting some answers

all fine here mjim. After our week in France last week, DH also has this week off so on Monday went to Brighton beach, yesterday to a 'Fairy hunt' in some woods for DD and today spent the day at West Wittering beach-lovely sand and shallow water for kids. So all in all having a great holiday.

How are you feeling? This year is going so fast cannot believe your baby will be here in a couple of months.

mandy have a lovely evening. That dress is lovely.

CE enjoy Mamma Mia-I loved it so much I cried!

HC hope the tiredness and not looking well is a good sign

Wellies-extra discharge is really common but always best to mention it

Ceebee-I have friends who have had emergency sections with their first. Of these a couple subsequently had fantastic VBACs and a couple of others had planned c-sections which were fine. Think I have said before my sister has had 4 c-sections, and it was very civilised knowing exactly when the last three were going to arrive (after a horrific first birth and emergency section). Obviously that doesn't help you make your decision though!

I'm not sure about cycles after miscarriage Dawn-it can take a while for things to settle down.

HumphreysCorner · 06/08/2008 17:47

Blimey, you have been chatty today.

bluestar-I think you may have OV'd yesterday but FF with update your chart in a few days to confirm.

Wellies-I would phone your MW. Doesn't sound serious though.

Willmouse-well done on making the decision to quit your job.

Dawn-it could be your AF but hopefully not so you can get BDing.

Flirty-after 7 years of marriage on Monday I still find it difficult to say some things to DH. I think it is the fear of rejection. Good luck with next month.

Heebychick-lots of luck for your digital test then it's off to the Drs for you if -ive. (hope not)

Mandy-stunning dress. Congratulations and have a super time.

ceebee-my 2 friends who had emergency C-Sections never even considered a natural birth. Plenty of time to make the choice.

detox-will look at your chart later.

Mum said I looked not very well-could this be a sign as she doesn't miss a thing and has always known when I was PG before but as she doesn't know we are trying she won't suggest it.

Laters-am so tired and have got to get DH some tea ready. So can't be bothered. No wine again tonight Have downed 3 large glasses of yummy grapefruit juice-honestly, I could drink the whole box-love it!

Hi to everyone else

HC

Thanks Heebychick, well I've already decided that I'm not going to test for some time, even if AF doesn't turn up. I want to try and be at least 6 or 7 weeks PG before testing. I want to be passed the stage that I was at when I MCd this time....

Does that make sense?

Heebychick · 06/08/2008 16:09

Hi Dawn after my MC i still had PG 'symptoms' for a while, the Dr ssid it was down to Oestrogen and Progesterone not the Hcg. She said sometimes your period can come at the original time you would of been expecting it if you weren't pregnant so is this likely?

I bled for about 7/8 days and i remember it stopping then starting again the next day, especially if i had done too much that day.

i then had an Af 3 weeks later, then i knew my body was ready ...

mind you i'm now suffering from all sorts of potentially phantom symtpoms so i can only assume everything is normal.

DawnAS · 06/08/2008 15:33

Thanks DaisyJ, was hoping to start BDing again tonight but might not be too pleasant if there's still some spotting there.... Oh well, roll on the weekend then!!

xx

daisyj · 06/08/2008 14:08

Just read the rest of the posts... Mandy - have a fab day - gorgeous dress. A girl after my own heart, posting your outfit for us to check out

Dawn - don't know the answer to that one, but I would suspect it's just things settling down. I had a few symptoms come and go after my bleeding ended and before actual AF. Even though you have no line on PG test, your hormones will still be all over the place, and can cause all sorts of symptoms. Sorry, not very technical, I know, but this is how it seems to have been for other people I know too. No harm in calling the GP if you want to check, though. I was in and out of there for reassurance after my mc, and they seemed happy enough to provide it.

daisyj · 06/08/2008 14:00

ceebee - that's wonderful news, you must be so relieved. Haven't had time to catch up with everyone properly, but just wanted to say to you.

flirty - so good that you've given yourself some space to get your head around everything. Your DH sounds lovely, and I'll bet that once you share this with him you'll find the whole thing brings you even closer.

MJIM - bless you, hon. I'm so glad it's all going so well for you, and it's a relief to hear you'll be sticking around. As you know, your October baby has a special significance for me, and it will be wonderful to have something to celebrate. I was wondering to myself what I would do to honour the little bean we lost and now it feels like celebrating yours will be the perfect answer .

DawnAS · 06/08/2008 13:53

Hello again,

This is typical - anyone got any suggestions?!

I've been suffering with headaches and really sore boobs for the last couple of days although bleeding stopped on Monday. But I've just been to the loo and there's some slight new fresh blood mixed with CM, is it possible for AF to arrive this soon after an MC? I guess in a way it would be good, but is that usual? I just did a PG test (as HC kindly suggested) to make sure everything's back to normal and not even a sign of a faint line, which makes me think the hormones must have completely gone.

I normally get headaches around my AF (the only time I do really), so that would tie in. Can MC possibly trigger AF to start?

DawnAS · 06/08/2008 13:37

Glad to see you back Flirty, hope things start to settle down with DH soon.

Hope everyone else is Ok.

Hello all,

Mandy, have a lovely day and a lovely time tonight for your anniversary.

DH and I still have that to look forward to as we only got married in April. Hopefully I might have a bump by then like yours!!

Love the dress by the way!!

Hope things have calmed down this afternoon WaP, I too looked it up on Google and the sort of thing you described could be a possible issue in much later Pregnancy, so don't think you have too much to worry about.

The locum GP called today (the one that I had been speaking to last week) just to see how I was and was very supportive of us trying again straight away. She said that she'd seen the information that the hospital sent through and there was nothing to say that I would have any problems in the future as it all seemed to be working and in the right place. She said that unfortunately the MC was just one of those things.

So, bleeding has completely stopped now so may start trying again tonight!! Lucky DH .

WelliesAndPyjamas · 06/08/2008 13:00

Well, there's been no more since this AM, and I too googled it and found that it was normal enough as long as it didn't smell bad, have a strange colour, or happen later in the pregnancy. So I am going to see how it goes for today. Nothing else uncomfortable (apart from my waistbands!) so I'm going with my instinct on this one. Thanks everyone for the input and thoughts

Happy anniversary Mandy! Absolutely LOVE the dress!

bluestarlavender · 06/08/2008 11:00

Mandy - menat to say...love the dress! And congrats on your first anniversary!!

ceebee74 · 06/08/2008 10:58

Wellies - would just check with your MW but I had a LOT of discharge in early pg this time round - not to the extent you have described but enough to have to wear at least a panty liner at times. Apparently, the old wives tales are that it is a sign of a girl but I have obviously disproved that theory

Flirty - good to have you back and I do think you need to discuss it with your DH - having a baby is a joint decision after all. It is still early days so you could just have fun for a couple of months before getting hung up on OPK's etc and give him time to come round to the idea.

Willmouse - I guess it is the recovery for a cs that is the one thing that keeps gnawing at me for a natural delivery - DS will be 2.4 and will still be in his cot and need lifting into the car seat etc. Whilst DH will be there for the first 2 weeks, he does work away a lot so it will be incredibly difficult. But I could start with a natural delivery and end up with a cs anyway......

Heeby - sorry that you had such a bad first labour - mine wasn't too bad, just long - 24 hours, DS was back to back so all the pain was in my back and the section was because of failure to progress so no real emergency or stress - all quite relaxed really so I don't have any bad memories/experiences.

Dh is being no help whatsoever as he just keeps saying it is your body and you decide

bluestarlavender · 06/08/2008 10:57

Wellie - please let us know how things go...

Mandy73 · 06/08/2008 10:32

Flirty I can so identify with your thoughts and my top tip is: Have The Talk with him - even though it's scary beforehand. I dreaded it too but honestly, I had under estimated DH and it was the best thing, like a weight coming off. Men can be v logical/pragmatic and you can play on that: After all it's team work and both of your responsibilities to take charge of the situation. And TTC-ing can then be more of a shared experience, done in a fun, loving, non-pressured way, despite adding an element of discipline to it all: I'm proof it works.

Ceebee so v happy your appointment went well.

Waves to everyone, hope everyone's OK. Baby dust to you fantastic girls on the 2ww - well done!!

It's our 1st wedding anniversary today so going for a nice meal tonight (I'm wearing this) and have taken tomorrow off. xx

Yes, call mw. I have 'googled' it for you (I love to Google!) and nothing scary is coming up, but best to check it out if you are at all worried or notice anything different.

BSL - how long are your cycles normally. A 30 day ish cycle would expect to ov about cd14/15 so you could be in luck..and with all those troops going in there's got to be a good chance of 1 of them getting lucky, surely!!
