Morning all,

So the scan went fine yesterday. Just the one bean, saw a lovely clear heart beat and everything looked normal. They also made me 8+2 (so I'm 8+3 today) which is great, around the time as I was expecting so I must of ov'd on CD19 and tested when I was a couple of days late.

Cosmo - cost £50. Quite a bit but seems a lot cheaper than some places I've seen. They were really nice as well and the NHS use the clinic so I'll be going back to the same place to have my nuchal on August 26th.

Gruffalo - well done!! Must be so relieved to have finished!

Re fattness. I just look really fat now. I had a bit of belly fat to begin with and as I have expanded slightly its pushed everything outward and I look like a complete heffalump! Oh and I will have to go bra shopping at some point as well, damn and blast, I don't want bigger boobs!

Morning everyone else, and thanks for all yor wishes.

GYo · 31/07/2008 09:15

HI both- I've had the bloating, which is definately worse towards the end of the day. My trouser are tighter now but there isnt a bump to speak of.

LOL re bra shopping question- thats very direct

Im convinced I've got IM PREGNANT written all over my face but its probably not that obvious

calsworld · 31/07/2008 09:05

Cosmo - ummm, I'm with you on the tummy front, one of my work friends asked if I've been bra shopping so guess my boobs must be noticeably bigger.

Feeling very very sick at the moment so going to go and eat something and hope it goes away.

Cosmogirl · 31/07/2008 08:48

Did anyone else have a sticky out tum at 5/6 weeks? Mine is really noticeable and I'm a bit worried people at work will start to guess....Prob all bloat but can't seem to hold it in...If only I had a washboard, six-pack tum to begin with I'd be OK

GYo · 31/07/2008 08:45

Sounds great Glask- enjoy the day

Cosmogirl · 31/07/2008 08:44

Morning guys,

Congrats Gruffalo! You must be relieved it is over. Hope you are still in bed having a nice lie in. Well, can't believe it is only Thurs..this week is dragging! At least it is pay day today

glaskham · 31/07/2008 08:39

My nighty that I'm taking is drying currently... i need to pack sun-cream for the kids and mine and DH's toothbrushes as I forgot to get us new ones, then I think I'm all packed!!

Friends DS is only 9 mths so I'm looking forward to the baby babble again!! Haven't seen her properly in over 3 mths!! and not seen her LO's since DS's birthday party in december!!

Shame its raining as i'd planned a picnic of sandwiches and fruit in the garden but will have to make do with the living room floor!!

GYo · 31/07/2008 08:31

Well done GS- must be a huge relief!

Hope you are treating yourself to a rest today.

glaskham · 31/07/2008 08:19

Playing hope all was well at your scan last night!!

I'm not gonna be around too much today as my friend and her 2 LO's are coming for a playdate with the kids, and DH expects to be able to finish early...

SesQal · 31/07/2008 07:43

Gruffalo - that's fantastic! Congratulations
You must feel great to have that done and pretty exhausted looking at the time of your post!

Playing - hope all went well with your scan last night? V exciting!

I'm now on CD25 and 9dpo. Really trying hard to not get my hopes up and to focus on next cycle but not easy! Have no real symptoms to spot but if no AF arrives will test CD30 next Tues and not before!

Pop - hope all went ok for you yesterday? Thinking of you.

Right! Best get ready for work!

GruffaloSoldier · 31/07/2008 04:01

Ive finished my dissertation - yayyyyyy!
I am sleep deprived and just printing it off but I feel soooo happy!

I'll post properly tomorrow, just wanted to let you know I am free!!!!!

GYo · 30/07/2008 20:26

I know what you mean about being nervous about telling parents. Ive still not told anyone. We decidced to wait til after the scan next tuesday to tell people. But I think I am quietly putting it off.

Want friends to know but I quite like it being a "secret" for me and DH!

Cosmogirl · 30/07/2008 20:15

Hope everything goes well - will be reassuring to see everything is OK. Yep, told MIL last night, she was really happy. Telling my parents this weekend when we see them. Bit nervous about telling them but hopefully they will be pleased for us.

Have a bit of a weird feeling in my throat tonight after dinner...hope it's not sickness starting ekk! Also had some odd shooting pains in abdomen and bits - quite odd but didn't last long. Hopefully just stretching pains...

GYo · 30/07/2008 20:08

oh, didnt have to pay for it, but I was going to have a private one before bleeding....

GYo · 30/07/2008 20:07

Hi Cosmo

I had some light bleeding at about 5.5wks so went for a scan last tues. Doctor said was too early to see heartbeat so they are bringing me back next week (will be nearly 8wks) to see if its still viable (sounds awful!)

Have you told anyone else other than your sister?

Cosmogirl · 30/07/2008 20:04

Cross-posts GYo. That's good news about early scan. Do you have to pay for that one?

Cosmogirl · 30/07/2008 20:03

Yes, good luck Playing - very exciting! How much did it cost and where you having it? I am toying with the idea myself...

Has anyone heard from Popcorn Princess? Think she went to Kings today....hope everything went well for you Pop xx

Still feeling ok so far, but only 5 weeks so still time to feel ropey.... Looking forward to the weekend already!

GYo · 30/07/2008 20:02

Evening All

How is everyone this evening?

Looking forward to hearing about your scan Playing!

Im feeling distinctly "unpregnant" today. Woke up feeling different and boobs dont hurt, have had more energy and despite a bit of nausea (possibly in my mind) I just feel different to the last week....

Will monitor it... roll on second early scan next Tuesday

DH wont discuss it- says I should be more positive - which i should.

lardybump · 30/07/2008 17:23

Good luch with your scan playing. Look forward to hearing all about it...

Playingthe9monthwait · 30/07/2008 17:21

Right, I am hot, feeling a bit sick and knackered, so I am off home! Speak to you all tomorrow.

Playingthe9monthwait · 30/07/2008 17:19

Hi LB, I'm not really 9 weeks, thats according to the wheel, which is def wrong, probably closer to 8, find out how far gone I really am tonight.

I'm not surprised you are annoyed I would be. How rude. I mean it might be a heat rash but what a nasty way to say it!!!

lardybump · 30/07/2008 16:57

Pressed post before I had finished.

I am feeling really silly at the moment. I called NHS direct today as DD has a very nasty rash all over her front and back (couldn't get to see doctors) was told to go to chemist and get them to check. So I went to nearest chemist which is in a Morrison?s. Pharmacist was very condescending and tutted and said "well where is the rash this is not a rash and is obviously down to the heat. Go home and stop worrying it is stupid"..

I felt like hitting him I really did. It is a fucking rash it is all over her and I know it is not normally there you fucking wanker!!!!!

Anyway how is everyone? Hope you are all well. Please excuse my language I am feeling very wound up. Yes dd is my PFB but I was worried it may be chicken pox or something and that is bad news as I am pg....

lardybump · 30/07/2008 16:52

Evening everyone. I cant believe you are 9 weeks playing, wow I really thought you were further behind me than that you must be due on the 1st March then playing!! I am only 10 weeks and it seems everyone elses pregnancy is flying by and mine is taking ages (only want to get to the 12 week stage so I can have my tests and scan and know that all is as it should be, then I will be ok).

glaskham · 30/07/2008 16:01

2dpo is too early to feel any 'pulling' feelings in my stomach/womb area isn't it!! every time i stand up or sit down i get an achey pulling feeling on my right side. and also when i'm reaching for anything!!
