calsworld · 17/07/2008 11:33

LOL! Well, maybe I'll test tomorrow if AF doesn't show today. I'm not a believer in non-FMU testing, coz I'll never know if its a BFN for real or not...

Its funny, I've been wondering how I'll feel when I eventually get a BFP and I can't imagine at the moment, I kind of feel a bit blank? Does that make any sense?

And what about stonking headaches and constant thirst? I never drink alot usually but have definitly been drinking more, which makes it impossible to tell if I'm weeing more coz obviously I am....and so on, round and round in circles! Ho Hum!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 17/07/2008 11:28

Ah, but how will you feel if you test and it's BFP??? BFN's mean nothing till period shows up, and you've said yourself you don't feel periody, and I haven't been goading you have I? Until today! And, I don't know, but will think of something soon!

Sore gums deffo symptom!

OP posts:
calsworld · 17/07/2008 11:26

Is gum ache a symptom?

calsworld · 17/07/2008 11:26

NJ - how will you feel if I test and its a BFN?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 17/07/2008 11:18

LOL I think today must be a day of firsts for me, have never heard of sticking a thermometer up your fanjo, and have never heard of someone dumping the tent and going for the cosy van just to pee in a cupboard - I absolutely adore this thread!

(

OP posts:
calsworld · 17/07/2008 11:14

Hmmmm late night / early hours weeing def preferable in a small cupboard than trekking across a dark cold campsite!

NJ......! I did pop to the chemist this morning to get another test but I was so early they weren't even open!! I could see them through the window (think small child in toyshop window!) and saw the prices and decided I can wait!

Now, back to planning my weekend break budget preparation!

tinkhasagorgeousbean · 17/07/2008 11:10

def go for camper

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 17/07/2008 11:04

Glask, I really don't need a blow by blow account thanks all the same!

Cal, I'd go for the camper van, does it have a loo in it? (You know you will take that test with you!!) The LP seems pretty bang on up till now, please don't make me yourself wait all weekend

OP posts:
tinkhasagorgeousbean · 17/07/2008 10:59

hb - sounds like you have been at it well good luck

cal poor dh and dog

glas - i took my temps orally wasnt keen on taking them down there.
is a really good idea to take temps

calsworld · 17/07/2008 10:52

Hi all, thanks for best wishes for muttley, she's a long haired collie aged around 13 (not 100% sure as she's a rescue dog) and you can barely see her ears coz she's got such a big ruff of hair around her head / neck / ears! She's a bit subdued but not doing too bad I don't think.

I'm not testing today, its too soon for a positive and I don't even really know that AF is due today. I'm only guessing that OV was on CD24 as that was when I had a big dollop of EWCM and I'm only guessing that I have a LP of 13 days because on the previous two cycles when I've guessed OV dates, LP has shown up 13 days later.....plenty of time for AF yet!

We're supposed to be camping this weekend, got tomorrow booked off on holiday, travelling early afternoon, returning Sunday. DH is very nervous about the weather (forecast showers friday and saturday) and I think he's worried about how to entertain DS so he has just emailed a link about a campervan that wouldn't cost toooo much and is available for hire. It will take all the hassle of trying to fit everything into the car, remove my perpetual fear of being cold at night (I always am when we go camping), I suppose it will make cooking easier too - what do you reckon?

glaskham · 17/07/2008 10:50

Right I'm off to spend some time with DH and the kids. Diege if your around at all today I'm thinking of you!! 'See' you later everyone else!!

glaskham · 17/07/2008 10:48

ahh ok then.... well maybe i will temp vaginally.... maybe i should give NJ a day by day description to keep her giggling!!!

I'd rather temp from there if it can be more accurate!!

Ses15 · 17/07/2008 10:47

Morning! Not been on for what feels like ages as internet is down at home but I think it's only been a couple of days!

Diege - I am absolutely gutted for you. I know the others have said it all really but - as you know - I've been there recently and am sending big hugs. Things will be so up and down but we're all here for you.

Glaskham - I've just started temping and the leaflet I got with mine just spoke about oral temperatures so that's what I've been doing. 3 days of temping now and I've even splurged on some OPKs. (So much for not ttc yet!) My excuse is I'm finding out more about my cycle!

Anyway, must fly as I'm in a dodgy internet cafe in Eastbourne and am meant to be meeting someone in one of the stores in about 5 minutes!

lastboxoftampons · 17/07/2008 10:40

Glas You can take your temp orally or vaginally. The fanjo temps are meant to be more reliable as there are lots of outside factors that can affect your oral temp - ie sleeping with your mouth open. You need to take it as soon as you wake up in the morning before doing anything else - ie getting up, going to the bathroom, eating, drinking, talking, etc. - and after at least 3 hours sleep. I've never temped vaginally - Sorky's the expert on that - but I don't think you need to stick it very far up there. Normal temp range is about 36.1 - 36.3 pre-O and 36.4 - 37 or so post-O. Hope that helps!

Oh, and has anyone seen hot Helen Mirren in a red bikini Check her out Makes me want to hit the gym harder than any pic of any young celebrity ever has! She's fit!

Playingthe9monthwait · 17/07/2008 10:31

Morning all,

Diege - I am still thinking of you. Hope today goes as well as can be expected. xx

Cals - sorry to hear about your dog, its horrible when your pets have to go to the vet isn't it?

Monkey - I understand why you don't want to tempt fate yet. I thought long and hard before joining the March thread. I suppose I just figured that I didn't want to deny myself the excitement of being pg even knowing the risk factors. Yes I know I could mc and for that reason I am keeping a lid on my feelings a bit and trying to remain cautiously excited. We have already had one mc on the thread and I am sure we will have at least another one. I actually find that that helps keep my feet grounded and me realistic, without it I think I would be much more excited by now. And remember, the odds are in your favour

Glask - never temped but I think you can temp by putting it up your fanjo but most people don't, maybe ask the expertise of the temping thread?

Morning everyone else.

glaskham · 17/07/2008 10:29

well i thought i would have to hold it in place!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 17/07/2008 10:16

I have no idea, I thought it was your body temp that rises, so it'd pick up a rise anywhere, though I am sure there are certain places that you'd pick it up more accuratly. Just never heard of anyone taking their temp for anything in their fanjo!

Has got me giggling like a school girl actually, I think if it was me, it'd fall out LOL

OP posts:
glaskham · 17/07/2008 10:14

I'm gonna ask so i hopefully get some fast responses!!

glaskham · 17/07/2008 10:14

I'm sure you must?... Isn't the temp rise inside there??? if not I'm glad i asked as thats where i'd put it!!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 17/07/2008 10:12

Sorry Glask, am not good on temping (Do you really put it in your fanjo ?????????? I didn't know that!)

OP posts:
NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 17/07/2008 10:11

Monkeybum, no not strange at all (about the list), I joined in the Jan. AN thread, and then ducked out till I was 12 weeks, but still haven't got involved in it properly, just seems too much like tempting fate.

Cal glad she is OK, poor thing, no wonder DH is feeling badly, I still remember shutting our old dog's tail in the door by accident when I was about 8yo, there was no damage but the yelp he gave out, it honestly still makes me shiver thinking about it! Oh and go and test woman! I already know the result You have never felt un-periody when it's been due before.....

LBox, lol at 'I wondered if I was actually dead' Fingers crossed the AC does something to help

And HeeBee that is a hell of a lot of GOF'ing! LOL

OP posts:
glaskham · 17/07/2008 10:10

just jumping on the new thread so i don't loose you all!!

Cals- sorry to hear of your dog, good she's sorted and home though... poor DH- he must feel very guilty- but it was just a nasty accident!!

anyone who temps can you give me some tips.... where do i put it (as in just inside or further up near my cervix?)... when is the best time/times to take temps? what is an 'average' temp? anything else i should know??

lastboxoftampons · 17/07/2008 09:51

Hi everyone:

Yes, GYo I'm on the agnus castus this month. I'm only CD10, but so far my pre-O temps are higher than usual. Not sure what that means exactly...but I'm taking it to be a good thing. I was actually worried that my temps were a bit low in general anyway - some mornings they were so low I wondered if I wasn't actually dead - and have been wondering if I might be slightly estrogen dominant, so I ~think~ this might be the AC sorting out my hormones - ? Or I could be grasping at straws!!!

Cal so sorry about your doggie What kind of dog is she (wondering if she has big floppy ears or little pointy ones )

babytime · 17/07/2008 09:38
