It is actually a lovely time for a birthday, just in time to get all the toys for the garden for the summer (ahem, when I say summer, I actually mean the days when it isn't raining...! Though I shouldn't complain today I suppose!)

Kal that's fab news! Congratulations

Re DH, just tell him you couldn't wait and surprise him tonight - you won't be able to keep it a secret and if he ever found out that you did he might be disappointed...it will be a far bigger surprise tonight than sitting round a stick at the weekend!

the wagon rumbles along successfully!

Now, who's next?

Wow Kal- congratulations

will you be able to act all surprised when you tell DH?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 24/07/2008 16:13

LOL What else are due date calculators for?

DS1's birthday is the 18th of March, there are so many of you due around then now! (Am now worried I'll be missing birthday annoucments due to bday celebrations... do you reckon DS1 would mind if I move his bday to a quieter time of the month?!! )

OP posts:
Playingthe9monthwait · 24/07/2008 16:13

Test tomorrow morning with FMU and present it to him when he gets in. He'll be too excited to care that you tested early

Kalikaroo · 24/07/2008 16:07

DH is off on a course and won't be back until tomorrow, so I might just do a test when he gets home and say I "just had a feeling"!! (I'll be gutted if it's not really a BFP )

If I am pg then it will be due on 20th March (not that I actually went and immediately checked it on a due date calculator or anything... )

Playingthe9monthwait · 24/07/2008 16:00

Oh Kalikaroo, I positive is a positive. Congratulations. If I were you I would just fess up that you tested ealry and tell your DH.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 24/07/2008 15:50

LOL Kal I think you can believe it now, although it might take a while to sink in!

When will you be due?

OP posts:
tinkisagracefulshamu · 24/07/2008 15:47

comgrats kalik

Kalikaroo · 24/07/2008 15:46

I've decided to wait til the weekend to confirm that it's actually a positive, since I don't believe the test 100% (I think it got some wee on the inside of the digital bit (TMI!))...then DH can be there!!

It seems totally unreal, so I think I'll just be in denial til saturday!! I will definitely need to do at least another 2 tests to actually believe that it's a positive result anyway.

Cosmogirl · 24/07/2008 15:45

Congratulations!!!! As the wise MNers always say 'a line is a line'!
If I were you I'd just come clean with DH and say you 'had a feeling' and couldn't wait. He'll forgive you

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 24/07/2008 15:43

Sounds like you have a plan re. house move Tink

Kal!!!!!!!! Huge congratulations!!!!! CBD don't do dodgy sticks, your period is late already, I think you can take it your pregnant girl How exciting!! I am sure your DH won't mind you tested, maybe do the other one you have tonight and 'surprise' him with it? Had to PMSL at dropping it down the loo though LOL

OP posts:
GYo · 24/07/2008 15:40

OMG Kal- congrats
just in a meeting but I will be back online soon

Kalikaroo · 24/07/2008 15:17

Ok - I'm shaking like a leaf!! I bought a 3 pack of clearblue digital tests and managed to drop the first test stick down the loo....just did another test and it was a BFP!!!!!!!!

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!

Problem though - my DH made me promise not to do a test til the weekend so he could be there, but I couldn't wait. Do you think it's ok to do a test then and if it's positive again then act all surprised???????

Maybe this one was just a dodgy test stick???

tinkisagracefulshamu · 24/07/2008 15:16

hi ladies

thanks for school comments.
have decided will probably move to chandelsford not too far from here as area we live isnt great. also our house only has 2 bedrooms so not really big enough anyway and we have been here 5 years.
we would rent to start with.
the school ofsted was dreadful - very low and not up to standard in maths, science and english and 50% of the school caters for special needs.
my friend came around today has just gone she is 25 wks sun. was exciting comparing things she looks massive scary to think that i will get as big as that.
they are going to have a 4d scan in portsmouth for a really good price going to wait till she has hers then if really good will go for one 2
she used doppler 2.
cosmo i got my angel doppler from babymad cheaper than ebay £26.90 plus gel and postage doppler is gr8 can pick up heartbeat in 5 mins definetly a great buy

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 24/07/2008 14:18

Afternoon

Just nipped into town to get a christening card, came back with about 6 carrier bags, and I didn't buy 6 cards! Why does that always happen? We nipped in on Tuesday to get some 'summer holiday supplies' came home almost empty handed, today only had to get a card and come back with half the shops hanging off the buggy! Did have a sneaky latte though

DS2 is asleep DS1 is painting some canvases up for me Easy-peasy this summer hols lark!

Have forgotten most of what I wanted to say, but Tink, I have never ever gone off the Ofsted Reports, I remember having them compile the reports when I was at school, and I can still remember the build up them coming in, and how different that week was to every other week I ever had at school, and my mum used to be a TA and the shit she had to do to get ready for the report was just ridiculous! Nothing like how a school is run day to day. Best thing you can do is talk to the parents of kids that are there, they won't have any trouble telling you what they think! DS1's school, the Ofsted Report is nothing special, but, he loves it there, he is getting on really well, getting the right sort of encouragment for him, and while I have my odd little niggles with the school (mainly just lack of communacation), I'm pleased he is there.

Cal, !!

Sorry have completely forgotten everything else

I used preggie pops, I found they were quite helpful as long as I had one in my mouth, but as soon as I finished it I had to start another!!!

GYo, Cosmo, I wasn't trying to scare, mine was fairly extreme I was just trying to demonstrate that if you are going to get it, it might be something that builds over time. Equally, it might just come out of no-where, we're all different. I too don't cope with sick very well at all, like baby poo its something you get used to coz you've got no choice! I'm sure you'll be fine.

busylady · 24/07/2008 14:10

hi all

thought i'd update, i guess you won't know what i'm up to if all i do is lurk this thread and don't partake!!
