Hey ladies

MrsH Simon Cowell choosing your daughter's school? That had my giggling at my desk - hope he was wearing trousers that were nice and highwaisted . And welcome to my world of chart overlay . I think it's really positive that you found one that matched yours so much, it can only be a good sign (it also helps me to not obsess so much about individ temps...). Fingers crossed for a nice high temp for you tomorrow! And I have of course been feeling my right ankle...what must I look like?!?

JollyBear lol at Jollycub hiccuping! That must be so exciting (although I could imagine it being more than a little disconcerting too, especially if he/she's on your bladder at the same time ). Do keep us updated on how you are, I love hearing bump reports from our pregnant graduates

Mibbes same goes for you on the old bump updates though not long now before you'll be making us all cyber aunties again!! [excited emoticon]

PnM good luck tomorrow. I hope the appointment with the consultant goes well and you get some good options about how to move forward xxx

and to everyone else as have to rush off. I've got my day 21 test tomorrow, so will have a slight lie-in (very much a good thing!) but am manic at work so am not looking forward to another frantic afternoon as I try to clear things. But off to Ireland tomorrow night - yay!!

caitni xx

PS Ei I was killing time in Boots today and bought some FR tests - BOGOF offer on them - I'd sworn off the FR tests but just couldn't miss a good offer . Thank god I'm in Ireland or I'd be POAS like a manic all weekend [whistles sheepishly]. Hope you're doing well and let us know about your symptoms how you're doing .

MrsHappy · 12/11/2008 16:28

Hi ladies

Jollybear and Mibbes how are the bumps? I am very excited at the prospect of being a cyber-auntie again. Are you both due in December or am I imagining that? JB I remember the hiccups being the funniest thing when I was pg with my daughter (to start with anyway - she had them at least 3 times each day so sometimes it was a bit much) and she continued to hiccup loads for months after she was born.

I hope you're ok RFN2

Any more cravings/symptoms MOB? I saw on the AC thread the bit about being "pregnant until proven otherwise" which is probably a really nice way to think of things.

PnM Are things looking up for you yet? How did everything pan out for your sister? Am I right in thinking that you have your first ferility appointment tomorrow? Lots of luck - I hope they are really really helpful.

Bloated belly hey Ei? That sounds like a symptom too...

Caitni the cramping sounds very promising.

I am much the same. Sometimes I have a fleeting moment of nausea or sore breasts, but it is gone as fast as it appears. And the CM position is no more promising than before. Oh well if I get another high temp tomorrow maybe FF will tell me I am triphasic (not that that means anything, in spite of what TCOYF tells us). I am now a FF VIP and so I have been putting my chart over other people's and I found a pg chart last night that was virtually identical. (There are probably hundreds of similar charts which are non-pg ones) but allowed myself to start getting a bit excited for a minute. Must calm down!!!

JollyBear · 12/11/2008 11:57

Hello everyone,

R4N2 What a horrible situation. Hope things work out for you.

MOB How are you feeling? I'm so anxious to know if it has worked, I can't imagine how you are feeling. Are you waiting till Sunday or do the clinic test for you?

MrsH What a lovely chart! Being awake for 10 mins before taking your temp is OK as long as you didn't get out of bed or do anything energetic

Caitni You are lucky to get an Ei dream, she has been right with her predictions so many times.

Ei I found my old chart when having a tidy up the other day and I was bloated from just after ov and it never went away! Fingers crossed for you.

at mibbes

I'll be popping in again this week for updates, I'll have my fingers firmly crossed for some BFPs . Everything is well with Jollycub and I. He or she spends a lot of time shuffling about on my bladder and having the hiccups!

mibbes · 12/11/2008 08:25

MrsHappy oooh I love charts too and agree with Caitni that yours is looking good this cycle ! I know you don't believe in imp dips but I had one on my BFP cycle and that is a significant rise on 7dpo and again today . I just checked my right inside ankle (not easy with my big bump !) and it is slightly more raised than the left !!!

Caitni I really hope your symptoms and Ei's prediction mean an early xmas pressie is coming your way.

Ei sounds very promising missus ! Maybe there is going to be a bumper-pre-xmas bundle of BFPs on this thread ....

MrsHappy · 12/11/2008 07:43

Well I dreamed that Simon Cowell was helping me choose my daughter's school. Does that count, Caitni? The cramping sounds v exciting, by the way.

Well, I have found a new exciting symptom for us all to spot. Ray81 on one of the other threads has just got a BFP after noticing that the area of her foot that corresponds with her uterus in reflexology was swollen, and that this was the same for one of her pregnant friends! Iirc, it's on your right foot, by the ankle on the inside. It's the bit just behind the bottom of your ankle bone, if that makes sense. We'll all be checking our ankles from now on, (less yucky than checking CP at least!) but be careful not to prod it lots or anything!!

Temp has gone up again today but I was awake for about 10 mins before I took it because I thought I heard a noise downstairs. (God I sound like Adrian Mole).

Caitni · 12/11/2008 00:12

Ei ooh er missus I'm very excited by your dream as I do [gulp] indeed have blond hair . I shall now be taking my pregnancy day-dreaming to new and exciting levels . I must say I do feel a bit strange, as I had some cramping this evening (I get cramping very infrequently)...but your own symptoms sound so promising!! Vomiting, bloated tummy and exhaustion...Ei I'm grinning thinking about what those could mean

MrsH Thanks for posting your chart! I think this dip looks more promising than last month, as your temp was higher and dipped more yesterday. I also think your chart is just looking so much nicer than last month - lovely textbook day 14 ovulation, steadier temps. Your body is getting back to its normal fertile self, and I'm confident that you'll get your BFP soon

MOB hope the cake cravings are continuing

RFN2 hope you're doing OK and taking care of yourself xx

And hi to everyone else

So I must say the footie tonight was truly excellent (though we snuck off ten mins early to get to Kings X in time for our train). Who knew that chanting "who are ya? who are ya?" at the [tiny handful of] Wigan supporters everytime Arsenal scored could be so much fun ...

Anyway, off to bed now. Night night (and hope we all get dreams as sweet as ei's!!)

MrsHappy · 11/11/2008 20:52

Oooooh. The last time Ei said that about me I was up the duff! (Although it was ectopic, but that was rather out of left field so probably unpredictable!!).

HappyandEiknowit · 11/11/2008 20:16

hi ladies
thanks for asking after me yes i am still shattered but i think thats more down to DD being a restless sleeper and getting up at the arse crack of dawn not sure about the bloated belly and vomiting today though i think i only Oved a couple of days ago so who knows
MOB good idea to wait until sunday do you have to do a HPT yourself or will the clinic do a blood test for you? i have everything crossed for you hun
mrshappy i have a feeling you are going to get a bfp this cycle
caitni have you got blonde hair by any chance? i had a dream early this morning about a heavily preg blonde woman who i kept calling caitlin i only know one caitlin and she is 9 years old and very dark haired
it was via a heavily preg woman dream that mibbes preg was predicted
RFN2 im so sorry to hear about your troubles with your DP i hope things get better for you xx keep in touch if you need a shoulder to cry on xx
hello to everyone else lurking or otherwise
xx ei xx

MrsHappy · 11/11/2008 19:25

Caitni since you are a strange chart obsessive, I have linked to mine although to be fair I tend to have a wee dip around 6dpo - you can see it in last month's chart too. Am 7dpo today and the real sign for me would be if I got tonnes creamy/yellowy CM. I have had little bits a few times today, but am looking for it like a complete obsessive so I don't think it is enough to get excited about.

Glad your DH's test was ok and he wasn't thwarted by the tiny test cups. I guess since it is private his results should come really fast?

Enjoy the footie- I was offered a ticket too but sadly had to decline...

Have the embryos had any more cake cravings, MOB?

Are you still tired Ei? I agree with Caitni - that does sound very much like a symptom to me!

Hope you're ok today RFN2.

Are things going a bit better for you Picknmix?

Hi to everyone else. Hope you're all well.

Caitni · 11/11/2008 17:42

RFN2 you poor thing, I'm so sorry to hear about this. I think you did the right thing asking him to leave, as you have to think about yourself and your DS. to you and remember we're here for you if you want to vent or rant about anything.

MOB I think you're right about the constant testing, as that sounds like the only way of knowing for sure that a positive is a positive. Anyway, just think, the longer you leave it then the higher your HCG levels will be on Sunday . I have a really good feeling about this cycle for you, so am really hoping you get the good news you deserve . It will cheer us all up tremendously when madoldchick (or even madoldchicks ) comes out of the ether .

MrsH I must say my chart overlay obsession habit on FertilityFriend means I'm fairly convinced about implantation dips (and Mibbes didn't you have one too??). Have you seen any sort of rise today? And how many dpo are you again? Fingers crossed for you!!

ei any more dreams lady? Hope things are good with you and you're over your tiredness (sounds like a symptom to me !)

Hi to PnM and Bucky and everyone

So my DH's test this morning was fine. I think he's asked for the results to go straight to the GP, but will check with him tonight. For some reason, I've got the sort of obsessive hopefulness about getting pregnant that I've not had since about May (I've even checked what my due date would be if I was pregnant this month and I've not done that since the early hopeful days!). Which is odd, as I definitely don't have any symptoms and my temps are fairly constant but not very high for me (though there's a definite biphasic pattern so I do think I've ovulated). Well is about all I can think.

Would you belive I'm off to my first ever football match tonight? Arsenal v Wigan Athletic - a friend lives near Emirates stadium and finally convinced me and my DH to go along with her and her DP (and some others). Should hopefully be a laugh! Though have brought some extra warm clothes as not fancying standing in the wind and rain too much ...

Madoldbird · 11/11/2008 08:42

RFN2 So sorry to hear what an awful time you are having. i hope you know you can come here and talk, whether ttc or not. If you are able, do come back and let us know how you are. XXX

EI How are you feeling today?

Caitni Glad you have got your blood test booked in.

MrsH How is your temp this morning?

PnM Hope things are ok with you.

Thank you EI, MrsH & Caitni for talking some sense into me! The best thing to do is to wait until Sunday, when i know it will be an accurate result. Opinions on how long the hCG takes to go vary - some people say 1000iu per day, others say 14 days. By Sunday it will definitely be gone - only another few days to wait! I think the only way to test early would be do do tests all through the 2ww, i.e wait until you get a -ve to ensure the jab has gone, then any +ve after that would be a pregnancy.

Have a good day everyone.

MrsHappy · 10/11/2008 22:13

Also, lots of luck to your DH tomorrow Caitni. It's great that things are moving along for you both.

I don't believe for a second in implantation dips. If I start to get lots of creamy CM I think that will be significant (I had that the last 2 times) but otherwise I am trying really hard not to get too hopeful.

Hope the rest of you are having a good evening.

MrsHappy · 10/11/2008 22:07

Oh God, RFN2, I'm so sorry to hear that. You poor poor thing.
I'm not really sure what to say, but am sending you (((higs))) and if you need to vent or anything, please go right ahead.

readyfornum2 · 10/11/2008 21:59

Hi all just a quickie from me

Just want to wish you all good luck for this month, I am now on the 2ww but I am actually hoping that I am NOT pg.

DP and I had a stupid row tonight and he ended up slapping me round the face I told him to leave and he has, I am not sure where things are going to go from here but one things for sure our relationship obviously isnt in the right plaace or indeed strong enough to be even thinking about another child!

Take care everyone and I hope you all get your badly wanted and deserved BFPs soon x

Caitni · 10/11/2008 21:29

Evening ladies

MOB I'm so sorry to hear you had a bit of a wobble over the weekend . I'm glad your DH has been trying to keep you positive though. I agree with everyone else about the early testing. I've definitely read recent threads on here from women having IUI (having the same HCG trigger shot) and at 10dpo it would mask a true result. Having said that, I don't think I'd personally be able to wait til Sunday! So we're here for you whenever you want to test xxx

Ei your daughter sounds so cute! I love when little girls want baby brothers . And I'd be inclined to agree with MrsH, kids can be really perceptive (I remember MrsH's daughter saying a similar thing when she was pregnant last). And thanks for the positive vibes but I have precisely no symptoms. Even my boobs don't feel sore and they're usually sore from ovulation so am telling myself that this month's not my month! Trying to brace myself so that I'm not too gutted if my usual pre-AF spotting starts while I'm back in Cork for the weekend...

MrsH I [whisper] agree with the others - 6 dpo is ideal implantation dip time . Let's hope one of Ei's tests has your name on it .

Hi to PnM RFN2 Bucky GG Mibbes and everyone. Hope you're all doing well.

Not much going on here. I shall be passing on the wise advice about aiming well to my DH for tomorrow's SA . I don't think he's nervous (he had to have one for other reasons a couple of years ago and it was fine) but I am secretly a little anxious (think I just like stressing out about things ). I've booked in for my progesterone test on Thurs morning. I'm going to book in for my FSH/LH test next week. My GP couldn't do them so there's a nifty NHS clinic in Hove I can go to instead. After DH being told he couldn't have an NHS SA til Feb I was a bit nervous about delays. So glad that things are going smoothly with my appointments .

Anyway, just discovered Dodgeball's on E4 and I loooove that film!
xxx

HappyandEiknowit · 10/11/2008 17:13

MOB im not goin to slap you either (im more of a kick up the arse girl) but either way i wont do that either i think you should wait until thursday like mrshappy says. and check with the assisted conception lot about the hcg and when to test etc but if i were you i would wait at least a few more days to give the hcg chance to rise nice and high
xx ei xx

MrsHappy · 10/11/2008 15:44

MOB frustrating though it is I think you must wait (sorry) (although I am NOT going to slap you). I have seen bits and bobs about the HCG shot on the internet and it looks like it could take up to a couple of weeks for it to clear your system. Can you get your clinic to do a blood HCG test instead of peeing on a stick? That way, when your HCG is in the thousands you'll know it is far more likely to be twins than left overs from the jab. Dunno what this is about waiting until Sunday, though. Am willing to bet that Thursday would be good enough! Alternatively, check with the Assisted Conception lot - they will have an opinion on this!

Madoldbird · 10/11/2008 15:30

Afternoon ladies

RFN2 How's "sperm meets egg" going? Have you ov'd yet?

EI Am very excited about your dream too! I may have to go out and buy a FR, as we don't have an ASDA nearby either! Hope you are feeling ok today and that the day off has sorted you out. I think your DD must have yur psychic tendancies too!

MrsH Well, you have some great symptoms there, plus an implantation dip! Here's hoping they lead to a lovely BFP for you.

PnM I'm glad the funeral went as well as a funeral can. Am at your work colleague - how can anyone get pregnant on the pill - plus get to 12 weeks without knowing???? It's not fair, is it. Have you confessed to Dh about reading the email about your friends? It hasn't been a good few days for you, has it? I hope the appt this week helps you to feel a bit more positive about things. Although it is an enormous step, it is a step towards the baby you and your DH want so much.

Mibbes thanks for your congrats about my embryos Hope you are enjoying your ML. Relax, rest & spoil yourself!!

Caitni Good luck to your DH for tomorrow. Tell him to aim well Have you managed to get your blood test booked in? How lovely to have a weekend away to look forward to in a few days!

I'm back at work today, which is a bit of a shock to the system after 2 weeks off! I'm working from home though, so i am peacefully catching up with emails, phone calls etc. I've been feeling a bit gloomy about things over the weekend, although DH has done his best to keep me positive. I think it's beginning to hit me that we'll know whether the ivf has worked or not in a few days, and i'm just trying to prepare myself mentally. I'm technically 10DPO today (counting egg collection as ov) so i'm wondering how soon i can do a sneaky test. The trouble is, the trigger jab is basically a huge dose of hCG, so if i test too soon, i will still have that floating around in my system. It is 12 days since i had the jab. I shall have to do some googling on how long it lasts! It's just i'm itching to test, as i'd rather know one way or the other and deal with it, rather than this awful waiting around!!

Can someone come and slap me and tell me to wait until Sunday??

MrsHappy · 10/11/2008 13:35

I should be so lucky, Ei. Although today I am having a wee bit of cramping...

Lucky you having the day off. I want some lunch but the weather is too vile to go out. How I wish I was at home wearing a duvet, watching TV and eating biscuits.

Your DD sounds very sweet. I reckon children know things so maybe she said that for a reason!

HappyandEiknowit · 10/11/2008 08:51

hi ladies
mrshappy you know 6dpo is an ideal implantation dip time i have been imagining all sorts of symptoms the past few days and i have called into work sick today aas i just feel so drained and like i want to be sick the funny thing is i think i have only oved the past few days so even if it is my month its far too early for any symptoms who knows eh!!
caitni how are you feeling?? i keep having to check to see if you have had your BFP as for some reason i am convinced you have!! i think thats a sign good luck
MOB i hope your little beans are settling in well only a week until D-day
just thought i would share what my DD has just said to me mummy i want a brother...i said a brother?? and she sed ye can i get in your belly aswell?? i have decided i MUST get her what she wants by hook or by crook except for the her in my belly part as sghe was pretty hard to get out at 8lb12oz never mind 35lb and i dread to think how i would get her in...
anywho... i hope everyone else is doing well and having a good monday morning
xx ei xx

MrsHappy · 10/11/2008 07:43

I am rather doubting they are symptoms now Caitni - my temp dropped today so I suspect those "symptoms" were just a response to raised progesterone. Ho hum, back to waiting...

Oh dear, I do drive myself mad during the wait!

Hope everyone is ok this dreary Monday.

Caitni · 09/11/2008 21:42

MrsH I really hope those are early symptoms! Implantation may have taken place early...I'm a fright for imagining symptoms though, so am just going to keep hopeful for you (and hope that Ei's intuition keeps flowing!). Though I personally think the metallic taste is a very hard one to imagine IYKWIM, especially as you've been pregnant before.

MrsHappy · 09/11/2008 21:18

Mibbes I didn't see you there when I posted before. I hope you and the bump are well and that you are enjoying being a lady of leisure.

Caitni you are being very organised there. I'm v impressed with the christmas shopping.

Feeling a little strange here. I am only 5dpo but I have sre breasts, mild cramps and feel sick. I also think I might have that metal mouth thing. Surely it is too early for symptoms? Somebody slap me please! I think I am just desperate for a BFP so I don't have to go for that nasty sounding HSG!!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Have you had any more psychic dreams Ei? Preferably one where a brown-haired slightly tubby lady with one tube gets a BFP?!

Caitni · 09/11/2008 19:03

Evening ladies

Hope everyone's had a nice weekend. We've been blown out of it in Brighton, but the patches of sun in-between were lovely . And started Christmas shopping, so that I have some pressies for the nieces and nephews when i go back to Cork next weekend [feeling smug and organised emoticon]

MrsH I was chuckling at your DD's beautiful manners! She sounds so lovely . I know what you mean about Christmas looming...for us it marks the one calendar year anniversary ttc but by then I'll be on cycle 16. Still, I'm feeling very positive at the moment re investigations starting (plus I love Christmas!).

PnM god, I'd be so upset at your colleague and your DH's friends . Life just seems so unfair sometimes! Sounds like you've had quite a week so hope you got to unwind a bit this weekend. But seeing the consultant on Thurs means that you can start plotting your next steps. I'll be thinking of you on Thurs xx

MOB hope you're doing well. I hope that time isn't passing tooooo slowly. You're back to work tomorrow aren't you? Hope that helps with time passing.

Ei what an amazing dream!! I'm glad the psychic juices are flowing again
(as Mibbes is living proof ). Here's to a bumper crop of BFPs this month including your very own .

RFN2 glad to hear that diet is going well! I've been terrible since Sept, but there have just been so many good treats at work and there are so many lovely cupcake bakeries in Brighton and I have no willpower! It's great that your PIL will see you so slim, as the positive comments from people really help keep the old will power focused .

Mibbes You must be so happy to be on ML now! Has the nesting started yet? Take lots of time to rest and take care of yourself so that you're fully ready once little miblet makes his/her appearance . I'll be thinking of your over these next weeks and hoping you get the birth you want and a bouncing baby

and hello to bucky GG JollyBear and everyone else (and 07MTW if you ever get the chance to look in! Hope little Freya's thriving ).

So DH has his SA on Tuesday and I'm going to try to book day 21 tests for this week (if my GP can fit me in). We're off to Cork for the weekend on Thursday, so looking forward to a nice short week at work .

MrsHappy · 08/11/2008 13:23

Vent away Picknmix. I'm not surprised you're having a wee rant, but everything is going to start looking up once you see the fertility people. It's good that the reading went ok - you are a very good friend to have done the reading, especially given how hard it was for you.

And how nice is your DH trying to protect you by keeping that email secret from you? It's really quite sweet of him, although I do think that you should tell him you've read it!
