And there is a big ScaryHairy birthday cake for us all to share. I am not being good till after Thursday afterall...

Or maybe it is YOOOUUUUUUU Bucky. It really does only take the once (I am sure that once I have been pg with just the one shag all month )

Ei It's just brilliant that you don't know exactly when you ovulated - with any luck you'll knicker check for a few days and then do a test and get a completely strong BFP.

RFN2 it's good that you and your DP are talking things through and excellent that you are getting some help to feel more even. Hopefully in a few months everything will be fabulous and you can start ttc again(if you even want to when everything is so fabulous! ).

MOB I am still grinning like an idiot about your news.

Hope the weekend is going well Caitni and that you are feeling a little less flat PnM.

Well, buoyed up by MOB's news, I decided to pee on a stick and, like the stick peeing fool that I am, did it in the afternoon with very dilute urine. There may or may not be a line; frankly it is hard to tell. In some ways I am not that keen to find out if it is BFP (since that puts me back on the scans and ectopic rollercoaster again) and of course I don't much care to know if it is a BFN!! So I will not be peeing on any more sticks until at least Tuesday, when my period is due. Please slap me if you see me sneaking towards the bathroom with an HPT in hand before then!

Bucky2008 · 16/11/2008 17:48

Yay, for MOB just had to check in to see the news and I am soo glad. I have a good feeling about this month. I think this will be the first of a few BFPs . I am really really happy for you and your DH MOB I am smiling like a mad woman.grin].

AF still absent here. If she doesn't turn up in the next few hours she is late because I have had a 29 day cycle for most of the months of the last year. The times I didn't it was shorter...It will be a bloody miracle though. One BD, alcohol, fags, no FA, loads of stress at work and late nights....hardly conduicive with a BFP.

Sorry the appointment was so awful PnM. The whole sitting making polite conversation with the rude assistant sounds horrendous. I wouldn't have been able to be civil. I would have been all 'who are you rude assistant? How come you can stay in here without asking me? '

MrsH I think you are next .

Ei or maybe [big lottery hand] it's you!!!

Love to everyone else. If I have any news in the next few days I'll be sure to let you know. [higs].

Thank you all for the congratulations (and the DH's mentioned too!) It doesn't all feel quite real yet, and it's hard to believe that we may actually be holding our baby next year. I may have to go and do another five test in a minute to convince myself it's true! DH says he wants to shout it from the roof tops, i'm trying to get him not to tell too many people until we have a scan in about 7 weeks, which the clinic offer to everyone as part of the ivf package.

Mibbes i can't believe you only have 3 weeks to go Hope you are resting lots and getting spoilt.

PnM So sorry to hear that the appt didn't go too well. it is absolutely awful to have a student in without being asked. At least you are having further tests reasonably soon - but waiting until March is crazy. A one off private appt sounds a good idea, but it shouldn't have to come to that. I'm not surprised you are feeling flat.

MrsH Glad you and DD don't seem to have a bug or anything. I really didn't find all the jabs too bad at all. It was very little trouble, and i didn't find the side effects bad at all. I really have found the whole ivf cycle fine, i think that as we knew it was the only way we were ever going to conceive, we embraced it.

RFN2 So good to see you, and i'm pleased to hear that you are both getting the help you need and are on the way to getting your relationship right back on track. Good luck.

EI Ooh, i'm getting excited for you as well now... You must test on wednesday as i am away on a conference thursday & friday

Now, come on everyone, i want some more BFP's please! There's no way i'm being the only one this month

HappyandEiknowit · 16/11/2008 11:20

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!!1 MOB congratultions!!!! im over the moon for you and your DH my DH said it is such great news aswell as it has made me from ear to ear and literally whoop with hapiness for you usually with BFP announcements i feel sad and dejected but oh my word were gonna be cyber aunties again!!!!
PnM sorry your clinic were crap!! can you not make a complaint to the trust?? i would call PALs and discuss it with them and demand better treatment not least for the rude way the student just sat in the room without so much as an introduction {{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}
mrsH ooo ooo ooo!!! i think you will be our next BFP i really do!!! fingers crossed
not much to report here just hanging around waiting to see whether AF turns up as i have sort of worked out that if i did indeed Ov around cd20 i will be 9dpo and i was visited by AF on 10dpo last cycle so either AF will arrive bang on cue or i have a tense couple of days ahead knicker checking and waiting to test on wed/thur when i am off work
RFN2 im glad you and your DP got things sorted and you have gotten the help you needed from your GP its nice to see you back and i hope you and your DP can start to rebuild your relationship with the right support
hi to everyone else
xx ei xx

readyfornum2 · 16/11/2008 10:35

MOB that is fantastic news am so happy for you x Cant wait to see if its twins

Mrshappy Things are sounding good for you too this month

EI Hope af is still staying away for you too

Hi to everyone else x

Well things are getting sorted, DP is mortified with himself for what he did, it has been a real wake up call for us both and has made us really look at our lives.
I hadnt wanted to admit it but I have been feeling really low for a few months now and my mood swings have been quite bad so I have been to the docs and he has put me on citalopram and we are looking into going to relate to help things along.
We are putting the ttc on hold while we sort ourselves out and get our relationship strong again.

I am on cd 21 and hoping that af arrives next week, obviously if I am pg we will deal with it and make sure we have plenty of support, it certainly wouldnt be the best time though.

MrsHappy · 16/11/2008 08:25

Oh wow bloody marvellous MOB. Given that some of us might also need to do IVF soon it's really heartening that you have got your result first time. And (without being too soppy) I have to say that I have really admired the way you've coped with it all. I don't believe for a second that taking the stim jabs is as fuss or side-effect free as you have told us all, nor that the 2ww is as serene and calm as you've made it seem to be. I'm just really really pleased for you and Mr MOB and looking forward to being a cyber auntie again in July (or June if it is twins!!).

Here my temps are very high but I keep feeling like I need to knicker check so am not holding my breath. In fact my chart is almost exactly following my last pregnancy (ectopic) chart. I am 12dpo so I could test but I sort of don't want to know if it's a BFN this time!!

Have a good day everybody.

PicknMix · 16/11/2008 07:58

Wow!! Mob I am so happy for you and you family! Like, soooo happy its ridiculous!! Dh says a big congrats to you all as well

Woke up early on my day off esp for that result but 4a.m was a little too early for me so apologies not to congratulate earlier

I have to admit to feeling usually when people announce their bfp but with you it is pure joy for you all xx

mibbes · 16/11/2008 07:58

OMG MOB congratulations ! I am soooo pleased for you missus what a lovely way to tell daddy to be ! Tell him am over the moon for him too ! What great news to wake up to ! Mind you have been up since 4am, miblet is getting me used to sleepless nights already, 3 weeks to go, yikes !

Madoldbird · 16/11/2008 04:14

Not up at 5am MrsH but much earlier! Well, i needed a wee and thought i'd might as well get it over with.

So... i suppose you want to know...

BFP

I NEVER thought i'd write those words! We are shock, stunned, and over the moon.

DH was asleep when i went to the loo, so when i got back into bed i cuddled him, he stirred, and i said "sorry to have woken you up, go back to sleep and have a lovely lie-in, because you won't be getting one in a few months" He woke up pretty quick.

Line came up immediately and very strong, so fortunately no peering at it thinking am i / aren't i. I still have sinisitis & an eye infection, but i have never felt better

Will be back later... we're going to have a celebratory cup of tea.

MrsHappy · 15/11/2008 20:32

Picknmix at that rude doctor. With any luck you won't see her again. After the HSG if I were you I would call up and ask the clinic receptionists if they get any cancellations (they do - all the time) and see if you can get an earlier follow-up appointment. TBH I would give you your requested kick but it doesn't sound like the clinic was great so I am not surprised you are feeling flat. But really, I do often think that once things get rolling the NHS can be great. With any luck they will pick their game up now.

MOB There is absolutely no need to say 'thank you' - it's been a complete pleasure to hang around with you through your IVF. I really really hope you get your BFP tomorrow. Will you be getting up at 5am, then??!

Ei let's hope your period is taking a looong break. Do you have any symptoms?

News from here? Well, the nausea has mostly gone, and returns only when I eat too much! DD vomited just the once and is now back to her usual cheeky self so any bugs seem to have been defeated by the hardy Happy family constitution. Forgive me for the TMI, but I had a lot of creamy cm today which for me has been a sign in the past so I had a flicker of excitement, and I am really spotty and tired. I just hope it all turns out to be a BFP and not just my wild and crazy hormones.

Oh, and I was thinking today that you know you've been ttc for too long when you see a thread about childminders and everytime you read "CM" you think of mucus. When I saw the thread entitled "I love my cm because" that gave me pause...

And good luck for the next few days ladies. I want to hear nothing but BFPs from all of you.

PicknMix · 15/11/2008 20:12

Evening all,

Apologies for not letting you know how my appt went before now. When I got home on Thurs I had a cracking headache and went straight to bed! Worked yest and today and only just found time to get on the net.

Mob I'm so excited for you although very sorry to hear you're still feeling crappy. I can only imagine how nerve wracking this last week has been for you but am keeping everything crossed for you and your family.

Hope you're having a lovely time away Caitni? Sneaky re taking tests with you, really hoping its your month this month!

MrsH thank you for your kind words of encouragement. It means a lot to have everybodies support on here. Its lovely to go through this with you all and know you're all going through similar situations (obv. not lovely that you're having to go through it, just that you know where I'm coming from IYSWIM!). Hope your DD is feeling better and that your sickness isn't a bug !

Love that you had to send your car to the naughty garage Ei! Made me smile! I had to get a new exhaust plus some new tyres and then it passed 2nd time lucky! I'm still loving your relaxed attitude at the moment, need to take some tips from you!!

Well... My appt was a typical NHS disaster, 1st issue was having to wait in the same area as the antenatal clinic - why do they do that??! Secondly, the dr was rude, didn't listen, couldn't really understand her (language barrier), didn't even introduce herself (or the student who sat in on the appt without even asking ). Had to endure an internal (again, student sat in without asking) plus swabs taken (lying there, legs akimbo, and they hadn't even checked if they had the right equipment ready, had to wait whilst the nurse ran off to get it with rude dr & student trying to make 'polite' conversation). Dr didn't even have my notes - luckily I'd had the foresight (thanks to JG, who always recommended taking a copy with you!) to take a copy of my +dh's notes.

The upshot is actually not all that bad. Am awaiting a phone call to book me in for a scan to check all woman bits are in place and have been told to ring them on CD1 to book in for a HSG. Sadly we then have to wait until the 24th March () for our follow up to discuss the results. However, have spoken to my personnel manager (who went through similar with his wife, v handy as understands why I'll need time off! He ended up adopting) and he suggested to get the tests on the NHS and then book a 1 off appt with a private consultant. Sounds like a good plan I guess.

The other good thing was that the head nurse of the fertility team is the lady who dealt with us when I had my mc and shes lovely and went through the HSG procedure with us. Learnt more in 2mins with her than the whole appt with the dr!

Blimey, if you've got to the end of that rant congratulations!!

I'm feeling very flat about it all now. Thought I'd feel better but just feel sad. Need a kick up the arse - somebody tell me how lucky I am really, please?

Hi to all I haven't mentioned by name, hope all our pregnant ladies are ok? Are you enjoying your maternity leave Mibbes?? How are the hiccups JB? If any of our mummies still lurk, hope you're all enjoying mummy life?!

HappyandEiknowit · 15/11/2008 18:16

MOB one more sleep to go cant you indulge me and do one now??] only joking hun i will be waiting with baited breath in the morning good luck
mrsh i am getting quite excited for you i think you will get a nice BigFatPositive in a few days i think
i think i should be due a visit from AF in the next couple of days so presuming she decides to give it a miss for the next nine months i will be testing early next week
hi there and hello to one and all
xx ei xx

Madoldbird · 15/11/2008 16:52

MrsH That chart is still looking good - don't give up hope! Has the nausea developed into a vomiting bug type thing (I hope not for all sorts of reasons ) Hope your DD is ok.

EI I'm really hoping that this lovely relax approached you have is going to herald good things...

PnM Hope you are ok? I'm feeling a bit worried about you today. Hope you are just too busy to get to the pc!

I'm afraid i'm still full of infections (it has spread to both eyes now) if it's not good news tomorrow i'm off to the gp on monday to stuff myself full of antibiotics!! (I will also be stuffing myself full of alcohol) I am cheered to hear that DG got her BFP after cough and cold etc - however, i'm pretty convinced i have probably coughed both embryos out now

Am getting anxious / excited about tomorrow... i can't think about much else TBH. No doubt i will be up bright and early to test, so i will let you all know either way.

Just want to say (without appearing too soppy) thank you all so so much for supporting me throughout the whole cycle. It has been wonderful to be able to offload here. Whichever way it goes tomorrow, you have all made the whole process easy to cope with. Thank you. XXX

MrsHappy · 15/11/2008 08:37

Morning all

Ei you sound on very good form. . Am loving this "who knows when I ovulated" approach, although I have spent to long analysing every twinge and gloop that I don't think I could stop now!

MOB how are you feeling this morning? Are the sinuses and tonsils any better? Have you been puking or anything??? . I seem to recall that DG became pg when she had a cold and a cough after ovulation... maybe all that coughing and sneezing encourages the bean to cling on!!

Caitni I hope you're having a good time in Ireland and are resisting the FR pee sticks.

PnM, Bucky and RFN2, I hope you're all well and enjoying the weekend.

I was feeling v sick yesterday so thought maybe that was a symptom. The thing is my daughter has just puked so I think it may in fact be a sign of the winter vomiting thing...Temps are god only know where since I woke up at all the wrong times. I took it half an hour late and have recorded that. It's still high, but I'm not sure it is pregnant high IYSWIM. And I am starting to feel quite periody and like I need to knicker check the whole time, so I suspect this month is not my turn. I don't know why I am surprised...

HappyandEiknowit · 14/11/2008 22:00

hi ladies
MOB oh my lordy im getting so excited for you i soooooo hope you get the result you (amd we...) want
caitni good luck with testing and have a lovely time visiting your family

PnM sorry about your car failing the MOT ours failed its last one so i just smacked its arse and sat it in the naughty garage and hey presto it passed with flying colours the second time i hope your appointment went well aswell
hi to everyone else
im on CD27 god knows whether or not i have oved but chances are it was about this time last week as i had lots of ewcm and then it stopped abruptly so i think it might have been then but who knows eh!! im due to test early next week if AF doesnt turn up early like last cycle have a great friday n ight girls
xx ei xx

MrsHappy · 14/11/2008 13:55

MOB you sound brilliantly low key about the whole thing. I would be peeing on sticks on an hourly basis by now. I hope the cold isn't getting you down.

I showed my ankle to Mr Needles who thought it looks a bit puffy. But since neither of us knows what we're looking for it is a tad pointless!!

How I wish I could stop symptom spotting for 5 minutes...

Madoldbird · 14/11/2008 10:29

Morning ladies

I.m so sorry, i've just realised that i haven't been around since Tuesday. The cold i had has turned into sinusitis & tonsilitis, so TBH when i haven't been working i've been sleeping!

PnM Sorry to hear you car failed it's MOT. Hope the appt went really well yesterday. I can totally understand what you were saying about having mixed feelings about it. All i can say is once we did start seeking help it took the pressure of us, and we felt much more positive than we had done in a long time. I so hope your appt helps you to feel the same.

MrsH Thanks for sharing your chart again, it's looking good. How's your right inside ankle today

Caitni Well i'm very excited that you have been EI'd That's the best symptom of all!!Have a lovely time in Ireland and if you do manage a sneaky test - hope you have some way of letting us know

JB What a lovely thought - jollycub with hiccups! Not so comfortable for you though.

Bucky Good to see you, as ever. Here's hoping you will be one of our many BFP's at the weekend Don't worry about it just being the once - it's quality not quantity!!

I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself today, i've been feeling ill for 2 weeks now. Normally i can shake cold etc off very quickly, but this seems to have taken hold. I'm off sick today, in the hope that a day of rest will sort me out.

DH is getting very excited about testing on Sunday. He can't understand that i'm not excited - i pointed out that i will be if there is something to be excited about! I just worry that it will hit him hard if it's -ve. Anyhow, 2 more sleeps until the day - i've got a selection of tests lined up. I'll let you lot know as soon as i've done it of course.

No exciting symptoms really, apart from sore boobs (likely just the progesterone) and the odd painful twinge in the womb area (again probably progesterone) DH is convinced my boobs are bigger already, but that's probably just wishful thinking

MrsHappy · 14/11/2008 10:15

Morning all

Caitni I hope you have a lovely weekend in Ireland. I can't believe you're taking those FR tests with you! You are a POAS addict!! Sounds like the NHS is coming through for you - hurrah for that.

I hope the appointment went well, PnM, and that they were able to give you lots of reassurance.

MOB I am still willing those little dots to stick for you. Any advance on cake-eating as a symptom?

News from here... my temp is still high and my tum feels like something might be up but I am not holding my breath.
Actually tomorrow is the test since on all of my non-pg charts the temp comes down at 11dpo. I am feeling quesy but that might be because I had two pain au raisin for brekka. I couldn't help it... my non-existent future children demanded it! I am really wanting to be pg this time because if not I have to go for the horrid HSG in a coule of weeks. Eeek!

Caitni · 13/11/2008 16:25

PnM hope that appointment is going/has gone well. It's so normal to flip between excitement and sadness about what things have come to. I'm kind of the same - glad that the ball is rolling but so sad that it's not the romantic process I thought it was going to be. Let us know how you get on.

This is just a quick note from me, as have to get to heathrow after work so am trying (and, shockingly!) succeeding to be super efficient at work this afternoon.

The blood test this morning was excellent - I had a real wave of "I heart the NHS" as it was a super speedy process, I was actually out of there before my allotted appointment time . So next Wed's one should be just as good. Can't help thinking of the money we're saving by getting these bloods done on the NHS too . Results will be at the GP's within a week. My DH's SA results are also going to the GP's, as we wanted him to have everything to hand so we can get a referral.

Since I'm off tonight, I probably won't be back on til Sunday, but shall try to lurk if I can (have also smuggled 2 FR hpts test into my hand luggage, but shush, don't tell my DH! ).

MOB I'm really hoping that I come back to some good news from you. I'm sending you all the most positive and sticky vibes I can xxx

And hope everyone else has a good weekend.
xxx

MrsHappy · 13/11/2008 12:51

PnM - please don't worry about your appointment. I know how you feel: when friends said to me that having the appointment was a positive step I just felt sad to find myself there. I never thought, even for an instant, that it would come to this. The thing is that once I got there and spoke to the doctor I stopped feeling worried and started to feel as though something good might happen after all. Of course I am still sad to be contemplating IVF (it's not how anyone plans to conceive), but at least it means that there is hope. With any luck you'll find that things start to happen really quickly once you're "in the system" and before you know if there'll be a little jellybaby taking up all of your time! Then you won't give a stuff about your recent run of crappy luck. Take care.

PicknMix · 13/11/2008 09:24

Morning all,

Am sat waiting for my car to have its MOT (fingers crossed everyone, although the way my luck is going at the mo I have a feeling it will fail).

Bucky! Its lovely to 'see' you again, tis good that old Bucky is enjoying herself so much! I figure the one and only time I managed to get pregnant was when I wasn't on a concoction of fertility vits and treatments! Let us know how your blood test goes x

Well done on the driving Caitni, Brighton is quite a scary place to drive sometimes (I hate hill starts!). Hope you have a fab time away (have you left the FR tests at home?? ). Good luck with your blood tests today - do you have to wait long for the results?

RFN2 I'm so sorry to hear what happened. Take the best of care of yourself and your dc, please come back if you need us for anything xx

MrsH am finding your Simon Cowell dream v amusing! Have my fingers crossed for you, have a very good feeling bout this month for you!

Ei, your dreams are always so great at predictions, please could you dream up some magic for a slighty overweight, dark haired country living girl ?

And a big HI to our pregnant ladies! JB I imagine the hiccups can be a little disconcerting!

I have got my appt today, thank you all for remembering. I keep flipping from being excited, to feeling really disheartened that its come to this. Our making a baby was not supposed to be such a non-romantic procedure. I never invisiged this, as did none of you guys.

Shit, car failed, best go pay the damage. Will catch up later xx

Caitni · 12/11/2008 23:06

at the sleep drinking MrsH (perhaps that's what I've been doing all along...).

Just been out for a quick spin with my DH. I'm taking to this learning to drive lark like a duck to water (though am still woefully a beginner...tonight was the first time I ever reversed! Was also DH's first time being driven by me, which is a turn up for the books! Such an exciting life we lead ).

OK now must go and pack for Ireland...sweet dreams ladies.

MrsHappy · 12/11/2008 22:18

Buckeeeeey Hello my dear
I'm glad to hear you are still having fun. Hey, if being good doesn't do the trick, you might as well re-introduce alcohol into your diet!! Can't believe you haven't drunk anything since Sept Caitni. I would be sleep-drinking if that were me!!

Good luck with the blood tests, both of you.

(Bucky- I really don't think I am that fertile... it took me 9 months to get the first ectopic so I suspect I may be in this for the long haul. Boo hiss!)

Caitni · 12/11/2008 22:14

Hi Bucky I also have my day 3 bloods early next week so here's to nice normal profiles for us both . And glad to hear that real Bucky is still going strong, there's only so much being "good" for the sake of ttc that a gal can take (and I speak as someone who's not had a drop of booze since Sept ).

And sounds like GG is probably taking time out, am sure she knows we're here for her when/if she wants to come back when her IVF starts in Jan...

xxx

Bucky2008 · 12/11/2008 20:56

Hey girls, glad to see everyone is still optimistic and it's all very exciting...

Where's PnM??? I haven't read right back to where I finished last time (sorry...lazy!).

Anyway, I am on the 2WW, AF due at the weekend. I however have BD's once in a month! Albeit around ov. I have also done nothing conduicive with fertility including sneaking the odd fag (and I gave up smoking years ago!). I tell you I have turned a bit wild since the whole carting round Euston night . I can't figure out how to snap out of it again, and with Xmas round the corner it is going to prove more and more difficult!

Caitni very exciting about Eis prediction...she has been right ALOT! So fingers crossed.

MOB Hang in there for the weekend lady. Just 4 more sleeps. You can do it!!!

MrsH...you are super fertile so I wouldn't be at all surprised if this is your month again and your chart looks good.

Mibbesyeelcatcher and Jollybear big higs to you and beans. xx

As for GG she has vanished.... She seems to be ok, as I see her status updates on Facebook. Maybe she is just taking some time out.

I have to go for my day 3 bloods early next week (keeps falling on a weekend so I havent managed it yet!) and then my doc appt is in December, so I have to sort myself before then....

Good to 'see' you all. Love ya.

Buckyx
