Why do I keep saying 'bleedin'???? . 'Hello Bucky, this is the nineteen eighties, can I have my word back please?'. Talking of words I was listening to Ricky Jervais' podcast and somebody suggested that for every new word that gets added to the dictionary we should get rid of one nobody uses any more. An example was 'Dodo', if there is no bird why do we need the word anymore they said. Well the concept made me smile anyway .

OOOOH don't all rush to rate him girls!!!! . (Bucky raises a sarcastic eyebrow). See...See he looks about 13 and a half!

PicknMix biggest higs in the world to you. . If you must leave then I guess you must but PLEASE DON'T GOOOOOOOOOO...... Besides if you stop trying my unconcieved dc will not have his/her friend anymore. You do know that when your baby does turn up I will MAKE it be friends with my baby (if it ever turns up too ). I will be one of those mums who try and to make their children marry their friends children....and FORCE them to play together . In fact I won't have to force them as they will have loved each other since before they existed out in cyber baby land....OK, I have gone mental yet again...but you are all used to it now. I really really feel for you, as the girls have said already we are here for you whatever you choose to do, but we DO know how you feel. I started ttc in May 2006 and one MC later I am still bleedin here. Sometimes though when people stop 'trying' it just happens so it may be a good decision even though I will miss you horribly. And Molly Dog and Finn Dog will miss you too .

Me well, the turned up today....so the BDing continues as do the never ending cycles..... Happy weekend everyone. xx

picknmix - I am so sorry that your AF turned up . It is so upsetting, heartrending even, to be reminded every month (in the way that men are not) that it's another month of not winning to TTC race. I think you are right though, it is a race. Not against each other, but against your own body and the tick tock of your own internal baby clock.

Do you think you will give up TTC for a few months and give MN and the 2WW a rest? I found it good to be away for a while because I was fed up with epople coming on the thread for a few weeks and voila, a BFP. Time out can be good, but we'll be here for you whenever. In some ways I think this thread has thinned out to people like us - me, Bucky, MOB for example and all the other regulars who love you. We are all in the same boat and have all been TTC for a long time and really understand your frustrations. Ei's right, we'll be here regardless. I think I am at about Cycle 20, and not going anywhere for ages yet . I can't remember anymore exactly what cycle I am on, but we started in Dec 2006 so it's been a long time.

You have your job interview soon and I am wishing you all the luck int he world for that! You will be brilliant and it's another chapter and a new challenge. This will happen for you, I know it. Big (((((((((higs))))))))))))

hello to everyone else on the thread. Bucky you make me laugh so much.

Here is a picture of Mr Needles and we can have a WIMBEWAIF vote in the style of "Hot Or Not?" We'll call it "Rate My Accupuncturist"

Will pop in later to say hello and check the results

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 08/08/2008 11:35

oh PnM im so sorry AF got you please dont give up and if you do decide to then we will be here regardless of when you need support etc {{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}

PicknMix · 08/08/2008 11:30

Period has arrived in style this morning. I'm practically crippled by the waves of cramps I'm getting which is really kicking me when I'm down

I really think I might have to bow out of the ttc 'race' (I know its not a race but you know what I mean). I just can't do this anymore. Cycle 14 (or is it 15?) and 18 months in and I've had enough. I appreciate this is hormones talking but its becoming soul destroying. And I do realise some of you are in a worse situation - I'm sorry for my self-obsessed whinging, its the last thing you guys need to hear.

Best down some nurofen and get back to work!

07mumstheword · 08/08/2008 08:35

PnM for you, hope AF doesn't show.

Ei Good for you, I will be watching the thread over the weekend to hopefully get BFP news from you

GG I forgot to say how impressed I was with your DH efforts, let it all hang out that's what I say

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 08/08/2008 08:21

morning ladies
PnM sorry you think you are out this cycle i really hope you are wrong and it is just your body gearing up for the high tempsof preg good luck and baby dust for you
i had another high temp this morning aswell as a triphasic on FF but im trying not to get excited about it (verging on impossible) i will be testing on saturday/sunday if no AF by then
i hope your night of working wasnt too tiring bucky
hi to everyone else
xx ei xx

PicknMix · 08/08/2008 08:06

Morning all,

Brilliant to hear from you Hatty, and so good to hear all is healthy and well with you

Gg yay for your DH! He sounds amazing with all the effort he's putting in - am certain it will pay off

How was your looooong nights work bucky?? Hope you managed to get some sleep?

Scary I had a google for you as well but Gg managed to sum it up pretty well - I couldn't find any better info than hers. As Ei says, it must be your body sorting itself out ready for a great cycle next month. Big hugs tho, must feel like a kick in the teeth after the last few months.

Hows the non-testing going Ei? Any more symptoms? All sounds pretty good to me!! Fingers crossed for you x

I'm on 13dpo now and my temp plummetted this a.m so I think I'm out this month. Want to cry but wont - will try and be stoical! Seeing as the dr wont do anything for us there's not alot I can feel positive about at the mo. Gosh - period def on its way, hark at my pre-menstrual whining!!

My Dh hasn't even had his referral letter through yet (they promised they sent it a week ago). Think Dh wants to wait until he's actually in the system befor complaining (he's suck a stickler for doing things by the book - i'm far too hot headed by comparison!).

Right, am off to work now, spk to you later X

07mumstheword · 07/08/2008 20:38

I've been reading about Mr. Needles and had him down as a tall dark handsome gentleman possibly with a little distinguished (sp?) looking bit of grey hair, now Bucky has blown that image out of the water
It is making me laugh! Can anyone sneak a photo LOL

Lets just hope he can work his magic so you all get your BFP's soon.

Bucky2008 · 07/08/2008 20:09

Hola Chicas (and a big hug for Hatty, great to see you!!!)

Scary fab that you dropped in . Hope you are having a good holiday. the egg stayed home though. Like ei said it may be setting you up for a sticky one next month though (think positive). .

Re Mr Needles, are you both a bit mental? . He looks about 15 and it spooks me out talking to him about my period. And I get bored lying on the bed thing, it gives me cramp in my leg. The needle stings my feet and my tummy and the heat lamp thing is like Molly sitting on my stomach for half an hour. And my ears bleed, he has to swab them for like half a minute when he is done. Also I always manage to insult him without meaning too. The first time I said something along the lines of 'oh good this should be quick then...' and the second time I said 'oh your job must be relaxing....'. The shame. I am going back when he gets back off hols but he will probably be dreading it!!! No competition here.

GG I am on CD15 but I don't think there is an egg yet. I did my OPK this afternoon in work and then hid it in my handbag whilst I was waiting for it to stop flashing and when I remembered the face had gone. So, I don't know if it was a , but the lines looked different so I don't think so.

I have to work all bleedin' night tonight so I should get off of here really. I am at home though so not as hard core as GG!!

Laters ladies.

just realised why Caitni isn't about, she's at her sister's wedding and MOB is on holiday! That explains it!

durrrrrr. Note to self - read the thread GG!

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 07/08/2008 14:52

hi ladies
scary sorry you think you might have had an anovulatory cycle FWIW after my first CP i had what i thought was an anovulatory cycle as my temp rose and fell quite erratically throughout the cycle and FF only gave me a possible ov date and kept changing it. i think i might be your bodies own way of taking a little break and recuperating. i know its not ideal but you have been through so much, and whilst this feels like another blow it might be exactly what your body needs to get you your sticky BFP and re the not meant to have another DC that notion could fit any one of us but that doesnt mean a thing. you WANT another DC and it is the most heart rending thing to feel like it will never happen but PMA lady!! it WILL happen for ALL OF US!!!
GG wow i couldnt do your job!! my sister wanted to be a barrister through school but didnt get onto the course for uni and i thought she was very brave trying. i hope you have a nice relaxing day today
hi to everyone else
PnM any news from you yet?
i caved in and tested today as my temp was really high for this point in my cycle and got (surprise surprise) a BFN i wasted a CBD aswell so now my cheapies have arrived i will try and hold off testing until saturday at the earliest but i dont know how much will power i have
speak to you all later
xx ei xx

ScaryHairy · 07/08/2008 14:50

Thanks for that GG. Sounds like I need to stop clutching at straws and focus on next month.
See you all on Sunday.

GorgonsGin · 07/08/2008 13:43

scary - LOL! Ok, ok, you saw Mr Needles first.

I had a quick look on google for you re temperature drops and found this

It might not be very helpful, but I have pasted it for you anyway, 'cause Blackberries are a pain!

"Can a person ovulate without a rise in basal body temperature?

Dr. Amos: The basal body temperature charting can have many problems. Taking your temperature exactly at the same time can be difficult. So it's not unusual to see curves that are not typical. If you take your temperatures all the time correctly then you would expect to see ovulation. It's unlikely to not see ovulation if you take it correctly.

It says later it is possible to ovulate without a tempreture rise, but anovulatory is more likely.

Hope you are having a lovely holiday. I don't believe for a minute you are not going to have another little one. All this waiting and pain after the ectopic must make it so hard for you, but we're all here for you. ((((higs))))))

ScaryHairy · 07/08/2008 13:16

Hi ladies
I am still on hols but missed you all so have whipped out my blackberry (carefully avoiding emails) but it is a pain reading the thread on here so I can't catch up properly.

Still I LOL at GG asking out Mr Needles. Hands off! He's mine...

Bad news this end... I am about CD 25 I think (iirc I am a day behind Ei) and my temp still hasn't gone up so I think this cycle is anovulatory unless it is possible to ov without a rise (can someone Google for me??). At least I won't be disappointed when AF shows up, but I am feeling very defeated. First the ectopic, then a CP and now this. Anyone get the impression I am not supposed to have another child? I'm seeing the consultant on Monday and am stressing because I don't know what I want them to do.

Ought to go enjoy the sun, but goodluck for the testers. Am looking forward to hearing about lots of BFPs on my return.

GorgonsGin · 07/08/2008 10:07

hatty!!!! It's brilliant to have you back on the 2WW. In fact, why don't you come back and join us two weeks before your due date and you can be on the 2WW just like old times. Your symptoms might be slightly different to ours , but we'll help you spot them anyway. Awww, I have gone all soppy thinking about your little girl. And are the radiographers absolutely sure there aren't two little ones in there...?! I am so excited for you!. i am glad someone has a good feeling for me this month! After a bit of calendar checking I can confirm I am on CD21 today, but no symptoms, not even sore (.)(.)

Bless DH, he has been away on a business trip to the States. he went shopping there (cheap! ) and has come back with lots of pairs of very loose, thin cotton boxer shorts - he used to refuse to wear them because he didn't like feeling like he was "hanging loose". he really is an all or nothing person and he has literally embraced all the tips on improving sperm counts

Spent all day in bed yesterday after arriving home at 9am, after a 24 hour working day . I am (almost!) back to normal now. Got to bed just as LKToday was on and then my mobile went at 12 and woke me up in a total daze. It was Mr Needles asking if I was ok, because I should have been there for my appointment!! I'd completely forgotten . Eek, I was so embarrassed and you have to pay for non-cancelled appointments, but he was ever so sweet and said to come in today instead and he wouldn't charge me, but wanted to try some anti-stress stuff too because he was worried about me. If DH decided to leave me, I'd ask out Mr Needles he's so nice . I will definitely fall asleep today on the couch!

picknmix - sorry about the BFN's but as ei siad, it is early days. Fingers crossed. Did your Dh get any further with his complaint re SA? hmm, your cycles sound like mine. I usually get sore (.)(.) straight after ovulation and nothing this month for me. I'm ery symptom free actually . Oh god, I've out on loads of weight too - wine and cheese sarnies being the culprits I expect and sitting an my desk not moving my big a*se enough

ei - erm, I'm a lawyer. We were trying to sell a comapny before it went bust. We have to work like that every so often. Not good for TTC - don't know what I'd have done if that had happened at a key time around OV when I wanted to BD! I'd have missed the boat through exhaustion. What nightclub did you work in?

caitni - are you about? Cooooo eeeeee

LOL at Mystic Bucky - do you have a good feeling about you Buckster. I really have my fingers crossed for a BFP for you. What CD are you on this month?

Big wave to all the PG ladies who drop in and anyone else I have missed off. When is scary back from her holidays?

GGx

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 06/08/2008 15:52

hey hatty lovely to see you 20 weeks wow time has flown!! and lovely news that you are most likely having a little girl lovely news
xx ei xx

hattyyellow · 06/08/2008 14:11

Hello!

Only me! Have just skimmed one page as supposed to be working but everyone sounds pretty upbeat which is good to see .

I've just turned 20 weeks, had the 20 week scan on Friday and they think it's another little girl, but not 100% sure - she turned away to preserve her modesty when the radiographer tried to look between her legs!

Tired but happy and finding it hard to believe I am over half way! Any news from DG? She must be due scarily soon...

Throwing tons and tons of babydust at you all.

ps

GG I have a good feeling about you this month

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 06/08/2008 13:47

hi ladies
PnM sorry bout the bfns but it is seriously earlyso dont be disheartened i am 10dpo myself and due to the fact that i havent got any tests in stock at home i havent tested yet my temp shot up today so i hope it stays high as i will be testing friday/saturday and if not i will be waiting until next week to test to avoid any knowledge of CP etc good luck
GG blardy hell!!! your job works you hard doesnt it!!! what is it that you do? the only job i have ever had that warranted a 5am finish was when i worked in a nightclub i hope you have a good sleep today
hi to everyone else
xx ei xx

PicknMix · 06/08/2008 10:22

Morning!

Hellooooooooo to Abby! Brilliant news about the scan, so so pleased to hear all is ok. You must feel so relieved

GG I can't believe you were still up and working at 5am !!! Get yourself home and to bed!!

Ei things are sounding promising for you - loving the symptoms and have limbs crossed for you - only 3 days left until test day!! sounds like you had a lovely anniversary as well

Bucky have you had a on your opk yet?! Hope Molly is getting better with the door - I'm sure she'll pick it up in the end, have you tried clicker training with her? Click and treat her every time she goes near the door then gradually only click and treat her when her nose actually touches the door, then when she actually pushes the door etc. Will take a few weeks but once she's got the hang of it its all pavlov and she'll do it all the time !

Hope you have a fab time in Cork Caitni and that the wedding is fantastic. I'm sure even if you ov'ed a bit later that your DH's swimmers are still treading water waiting for that egg

I'm off to find some new clothes today - turns out Ive put on an AWFUL amount of weight and none of my clothes really fit. I would love to count it as a symptom but the only thing I can attribute it to is far too many Feast lollies (I have a slight addiction to them at the mo, so retro!) and a love of roast potatoes!! I am 11dpo with an lp of 15 and yes, I have tested everyday since 8dpo with ebay cheapies. Sad but true. And yes, they have (unsurprisingly) all been bfns. I no longer have sore (.)(.) which in itself is odd, usually hurt just after ov right up until period so no idea what to make of that.

Af is actually due on Monday and that is when I have my job interview - rubbish!! I'll have butterflies and cramps, what a combo !

GorgonsGin · 06/08/2008 05:09

bl**dy hell, I must be tired. Three posts the same.

sorry

I am still in work (from yesterday ) but probably heading home soo-ish, so thought I would check in quickly and see how you are all doing because the broadband is down at home and I am off to sleep all day and leave this dreadful place

Hope someone has a good feeling about me this month
