Ei at your cycle. Is there any reason to disregard that first high temp that gives you the early ov date? I find FF pretty reliable, so unless there's a good reason to disregard it then it sounds like there's a good chance you are late [fingers crossed for you emoticon]..hope you get an answer (which ideally is a nice thick BFP!!) soon. I'd never have enough will power to not test again until the weekend btw!

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 13/08/2008 22:13

hi ladies
well i am totally clueless about my cycle now!!
my temp was low again this morning and i put it into FF and it took my lines away i undiscarded my first ov temp and it gave me back my cd15 ov lines and all my temps are still above the lower cover line whilst i ad a few below the other higher one. i got home went the toilet and i had brown/redish blood and loads of mucous (TMI sorry) and i went before and it stopped pretty much altogether im gettin annoyed with this now but i dont want to waste another test on a bfn just to check so im gonna wait til the weekend to test again if af hasnt turned up
scary how did your appointment go? well i hope mine is in 2 weeks time so is there any tips? any questions i should remember to ask?
hi to everyone else

Caitni · 13/08/2008 22:12

Evening all

SH any news?

Hope all's well with everyone else.
xx

ScaryHairy · 13/08/2008 12:50

Hello

Ei I just realised that I have a strangely high cover line as well. Are you sure you're not me?

I also just noticed that DH and I only did the business 2 days before my temp rise and not the day before or the day of. So I reckon we have no chance at all. WHEN IS SOMEONE GOING TO GIVE US A BREAK???

(Apologies for shouting, have had enough)

ScaryHairy · 13/08/2008 07:47

Ei - I ovd on CD24 this cycle too (wierd, huh?). There's clearly a lot of it about. It makes me CD6, but that has not stopped me peeing on sticks...

PnM I hope you're ok.

Bucky2008 · 13/08/2008 06:12

Where is PicknMix actually . We haven't seen her since last Friday .

Ei Its good AF has not turned up. You are back in the game...yay. (not that it is a game , IYKWIM....)

OP posts:
QueenyEisGotTheBall · 12/08/2008 22:21

hi ladies
no nes from me as yet no AF but it does look like i may have ovulated really late this cycle (CD24) which now makes me 7DPO instead of 16DPO so it would be far too early for BFP yet anyway i decided to have a look at my chart on FF as i was getting BFNs and no sign of AF and i discarded the one high temp i had which FF said was ov and it changed my ov and gave me a really high coverline (for me anyway) i have no clue what is going on and i keep feeling like AF is lurking but it turns out to be CM and just dull cramping so who knows!!
scary good luck for your appointment tomorrow
GG AGAIN??? i hope you are getting frequent traveller points this unusual tiredness couldnt be a symptom could it?
bucky i hope you are doing well sorry about all your early mornings. i hope finn starts to behave for you
PnM i hope you are feeling ok and im glad you decided to stick with us
hi to everyone else not mentioned >>
xx ei xx

ScaryHairy · 12/08/2008 21:28

Thanks for the good wishes guys. No, GG, I definitely have not sorted out questions, I'm going to have to wing it!
But I will definitely be talking about the backache and cramps I have before my period every cycle which are getting worse over time...

Bucky2008 · 12/08/2008 16:30

Oh and good luck tomorrow scary.

OP posts:
Bucky2008 · 12/08/2008 16:08

GG Really glad you are ok obviously however....I am disappointed in you too . A whole coach of football fans? Could you not have been more selective and crashed into, I don't know, Brad Pitt maybe????? And also you need to sneakily look on the bright side, glass half full and everything, you get to get rid of the uncool wheels and get something rocking....woo hoo . Thank God he did not have fully comp insurance, you would have had to keep it!!!. Maybe, DH thinks its all part of the masterplan to shake of the shame of crusing round in a 2CV or whatever it was . You know I'm kidding....I'm sorry he is being such a meany. Maybe its like those matchbox cars that boys have, they get all obsessed with them without anyone knowing and then when you accidentally stand on one they go ballistic . I have done that on several occassions with DP's Minichamps (more accidentally pushing them off the shelf than standing on them but its all the same thing). He doesn't look at them from one year to the next then when, whoops...Bucky accidentally sends one flying with her feather duster its the end of the world .

I am falling asleep on my keyboard today. DP is working in Blackpool, Leeds, Bristol and Reading this week so he keeps getting up at 5.00am, which means I have to as well or the dogs go loco. Finn has to go back to school this weekend as he is being naughty too.

Welcome back from hols/break Caitni and Scary and yoohoo to everyone else out there. Ei are you OK?

P.S. No disrespect meant to anyone on this thread who is the proud owner of a 2CV.

GorgonsGin · 12/08/2008 15:30

scary good luck at the consultant tomorrow. You know your own body and TTC is causing you anxiety, so I am sure he will be symathetic. Let us know how you get on. Do you have all your questions ready for him?

Caitni · 12/08/2008 15:03

Oh GG what a stressful thing to happen . Am just glad you're OK (and no one else was hurt). That's the main thing, as a car's just a car after all. I hope it's just your DH's shock that caused his reaction. Am also on your behalf that he hadn't insured it fully.

SH good luck tomorrow - let us know how you get on. And remember, you have a right to know what's going on with your body so don't let them fob you off to you too xx

Afternoon to everyone else
xx

GorgonsGin · 12/08/2008 14:29

scary - yup, I was equally at the lack of adequate insurance and sympathy. My mum summed it up best when she said "Well, I don't know why he is being so precious if he couldn't be bothered to insure it properly and the main thing is that you are ok!". It was not a new or valuable car - no point in central London, with on street parking - but he's behaving like it is a bleedin' Aston Martin.

just don't need this further hassle

ScaryHairy · 12/08/2008 14:12

Hi everyone

Welcome back Caitni - glad the wedding was good and I hope coming back to work is not too depressing. And everyone hearts Kevin. He is surely the nicest man on TV, no?

GG I am at your DH having a go at you for crashing his car. He should just be glad that you are ok. And why the heck did he only insure the car for 3rd party etc? Accidents happen, which is precisely why he should have got proper insurance - it is not like you guys are unemployed and can't afford it. I am actually a bit with him on your behalf. It is only a bleeding (thanks bucky) car and if it mattered to him that much he should have sprung for the extra £300 or whatever and got full insurance. Anyway, crashing a car is a crappy experience, so (((higs))) to you. I'm not surprised you're feeling low.

Nice to "see" you again DG. I'm glad everything is going well with the bean. Let me know what you think about the Whittington needle guy. A friend of mine had acupuncture there and did not rate it but it is a very personal thing I think. If you don't like it I think there is also someone at the Active Birth Centre who might be able to help.

I have got my hospital appointment tomorrow and am expecting to be laughed out of the building by the consultant who would no doubt prefers to deal with people with real problems, but we'll see how it goes.

See you all later.

GorgonsGin · 12/08/2008 14:01

hello loely ladies

sorry for the radio silence. Yes, I have been away again . I can hear ei saying "what, you've been away AGAIN, GG?!" . I'm currently logged on to my sister's laptop, so I'll be deleting the browsing history before I leave here! Don't want old eagle eyes seeing I have been on mumsnet! Sis is a doctor, so have been slyly reading the British Medical Journals i found in a cupboard for anything on TTC. There was a really positive study on the effcts of acupuncture on IVF/ICSI success rates, so despite bleedin' (literally? had to use *Bucky's word) AF arriving on Friday (which it will, I just know it) I am hopefuly the sessions with Mr Needles are doing somehting positive and won't be in vain.

picknmix - I'm so glad you are back on here and staying with us. I think we are a little band of long-termers and we know and understand each other on the WIMBEWAIF thread . Wow at your marathon game of tennis. I can't think of a better way to thrash out any frustrations.

digital!!! OMG I can believe it - you are at 34 weks. I am so, so happy for you and I bet you do still look goreous, whatever you are saying. about feeling like an elephant and LOL at kung fu digibean! How are you feeling about the birth? A good friend of mine had SPD and it sounded horrific so hope you are not in to much pain and the doctors/midwife is being sympathetic. Poor you. You have to keep popping back and telling us how you are. We need you, mibbes 07MTW and the other graduates to
remind us that we will be there one day!

caitni - your Cork jaunt sounds brilliant!

MOB - are you on holiday at the moment. Big ave and (((((higs))))) to you.

scary - awww, bless your DD. Out of the mouths of babes and all that. Maybe a prophecy. I wondered what the heat lamp was for - I thought it was something to do with blood flow to the womb, but I really liked the warmth on my tummy .

I think I may have to join you in the stakes, picknmix. I am feeling really washed out and low at the moment. Sh*tty stressful hours at work have left me shattered, the usual TTC rollercoaster means I'm living on my nerves and AF is due on Friday, the stress of facing ICSI is really getting to me, DH is away again and, finally, I...erm...wrote off DH's car on Saturday .

He went absolutely mental at me . I am fine, just gave myself a fright, but the car was a mess. I went into the back of a coach full of footbal fans when my foot slipped off the acelerator on the motorway. I had a wet foot after climbing into car during a rain storm and there was a puddle of water on the rubber mat in the footwell . Being exhausted and emotionally drained probably didn't help either! I am usually so upbeat - a glass half full person - but I think the shock has kicked off something in me. DH's lack of sympathy hasn't helped either and then I found out he had only insured the car for third party fire and theft, so no insurance payout. DH also wants me to pay for a replacement car and lectured me instead of providing any support . Bleedin' men!!! (thanks for bringing that word back into my vocabulary bucky )

Anyway, sorry for the me, me, me post. I'll try and check in on you all later and say hello again. I am off the see a comedy gig tonight, so hopefully that will put a smile on my face

Caitni · 11/08/2008 21:41

Evening ladies

First off, I'm sorry to have been invisible at such a stressful time for so many of our lovely ttc-ers (I lurked a little via blackberry, but not long enough to post). Secondly, Bucky I was laughing when I read your post about bleedin - I remember using it in the 80s and feeling so cool And, while I like Mr Needles, it's definitely not in that way . Let us know if you get any symptoms xx

PnM Sorry your period arrived but I'm glad you're not leaving us. I totally understand the conflicting emotions though. The support I've found on here has made the last few months of ttc so much more bearable, as I sought it out at a low point. But I also sometimes wonder if obsessing helps...so hard to know, but the main thing is we're here whenever you need us

ScaryHairy I've also had wonky temps this month, with FF only giving me my ov date about 5 days post ov. I'm not going to link to my chart though, as they're that up and down that it's kind of embarassing . All I can blame it on is a series of comedy late nights and some "moderate" (or, um, maybe more than "moderate"! ) drinking in Ireland. I think holidays definitely have an impact. Glad you had a good time though, hope you're still enjoying that post-holiday glow! And those sound like definite symptoms to me - it's exciting! I really hope your DD is onto something [fingers crossed emoticon]

Ei any news? Did your period show up? I hope not, as you deserve a sticky bean before your appointment. And I think you're starting your new job around now? If so, hope it goes well xx

GG dear lord at your hours! I hope you got over it OK. Is your DH still away? My DH is away this week, so I get lots of time to watch the Olympics, which I love!

MOB big hello to you on holidays - hope you're enjoying yourself and that the non-ttc isn't too hard xx

DigitalGirl hope the needling helps - not long now until Digibean arrives. Wow!!

And hello to all the other graduates Mibbes hatty MTW it's great when you pop in.

Not much to report here. 6 dpo and no symtoms whatsoever. I've decided to not obsess about symptoms (like my sore boobs, which I get every month without fail and no more shall they fool me, oh no, I'm wide to the sore boob mark now...). Had an utterly stupendous time at my sister's wedding. Bucky Cork (especially Mahon Point ) sends a big hug of loveliness to you and your DP! It misses you both xx. There were about a gazillion kids around too, which was actually great. Good to be reminded why we're putting ourselves through this ttc lark

Anyway, with my DH away, I'm off to watch the lovely Kevin McCloud who's got some programme on right now. I heart Kevin McCloud (and my DH knows it!)

Love to you all
Caitni xx

digitalgirl · 11/08/2008 16:12

Hello ladies,

Thought I'd drop in and see how you're all doing. I hear some of you have been hanging out down in Exmouth Market for a bit of needlework. I've just booked into see my hospital's pin-pusher to sort out a few niggles, I shall let you know if he's worth adding to the 'rate my acupuncturist' list!

Am 34 weeks tomorrow, time seems to be flying by faster and faster as I get closer to the big push. Digi-bean is clearly going to be a kung-fu master with all the movements it has been practising.

bucky am not looking fabulous anymore, hormones have been re-directed away from giving me clear skin and thick shiny hair and are solely concentrating on preparing for this baby to be born. Have been transformed into a swollen, groaning, heaving, grunting elephant. Have got SPD, so I'll have to give birth on my knees, backwards, like a cow.

GG was very surprised to see you working so late. Hope you at least had a medicinal G&T to nurse you through the night.

SH hope you had a lovely holiday, fingers crossed your temps stay up. Dont forget, ov'ing can be delayed if you go on holiday...(haven't forgotten my research)

PnM sorry to hear you're feeling down. I'm so pleased this thread is still going (although not pleased you're still waiting for your babies, you will have them one day) because it was such an amazing pillar of support for me when I was TTC. These ladies ROCK!

ei sorry your temp's dropped. could it be a dip or has it stayed low today? anymore psychic dreams?

Big wave to all the 2ww grads who pop in from time to time.

DG x

Bucky2008 · 11/08/2008 15:07

Just dropping in to say hi to Scary. Glad to have you back. Not sure where everyone else has got to .

3dpo here, nothing else to report.

OP posts:
ScaryHairy · 10/08/2008 19:44

Hello Ladies!

We?re back from hols and missing the sunshine already.

LOL at the thought of ?rate my acupuncturist?. I don?t want the poor chap in that way, but he certainly seems nice and to know his stuff. Not sure what Bucky?s heat lamp is for though. I know what you mean about not being good at relaxing ? one time I spent the whole 30 minutes in the dark itching and wishing I could leave but afraid to yank the needles out. But that was a one off and since then all has been much better?

PNM I am glad you?re not planning to leave us completely. Sometimes, notwithstanding all of the great support I get on here, I can?t help wondering whether this thread is good for me or whether it just adds to the obsessing, So I can understand it if you?ve had mixed feelings. TTC is incredibly stressful, but we?re all on your side and I hope you?re feeling the (((higs))). (and neither party fags nor ttc disappointment fags count for anything in the great scheme of things...)

Lovely you popped back in MTW and Hatty - it?s always great to see our successful graduates!

I am sorry to hear you think you are out this month Ei, but I am sure you will get your sticky bean soon. (((higs))) to you too.

I hope you're ok and have recovered GG. God I used to hate doing those hours - firstly when we were not ttc it would always lead to me missing my pill. Still, I was too tired for sex so that was ok. And secondly it left me feeling jetlagged for days. Can you award yourself a day in lieu?

FF thinks my egg turned up on Thursday, which does seem to be the case from my temps. But slightly strange is the fact that I have been having low womb-y cramps and backache for a good 6 days now. And when I told my daughter I had a tummy ache a few days ago she said "that's because there is a baby in your tummy mummy" . I know it's mental but I actually think I might do a test tomorrow. Here's my chart so you can see how mad I have gone (and I had EWCM for two weeks until Wednesday). The thing is, I don't know how much air con/ heat / travel might have affected my temps the week before and I drank far too much (also giving wild temps) in the couple of weeks before we left so I am sort of wondering what might be cooking... (although probably nothing based on past performance )

Bucky2008 · 10/08/2008 16:20

How you doing Ei? Did she turn up or was it just a random drop in temp? Hope you are ok.

OP posts:
07mumstheword · 10/08/2008 14:46

Sorry ei

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 09/08/2008 12:52

hi ladies
temp drop and bfn for me this morning so it looks like im out again
il catch up later when im in a better frame of mind
xx ei xx

mibbes · 08/08/2008 23:31

PnM just popping in to join your group hug - so sorry TEW got you and that you are feeling so low. Do whatever feels right hun, and right now if that is a cigarette and chcoclate, who can blame you ? I hope you stick arond but maybe a break will do you good xx

Just to reiterate what MTW said I wish all of you ladies speedy BFPs - you are a lovely bunch and all deserve babies so that you can force them to marry each other (LOL at that thought Bucky !)
...and mmm 8 out of 10

PicknMix · 08/08/2008 23:15

Thank you all for your words of friendship and encouragement. Its helps more than you could know having your support. Your posts made me cry a little - altho yours made me smile as well Bucky which is impressive given the mood I'm in! I'm not sure about whether I have the strength to carry on or give up with it all - both are equally hard to do. My dh is not happy to just 'give up' but he doesn't have the physical reminders that us ladies have to endure.

I have just played 2 1/2 hours of tennis thrashing out my demons and it has surprisingly helped clear my head a little although I'm still feeling at odds with the world.

Its wierd - I don't think I could leave this thread but I'm glad I'm not the only one to find it galling when a newbie enters then leaves so quickly with a bfp gg - it makes me feel so incredibly selfish and I don't wish anyone to be in the same boat as me and that makes it worse!

Mob - just to recap - my dr did all the usual blood tests and they came back 'normal' and now we have to wait 2 months until my dh can have a sperm test (bleedin [thanks Bucky!] pct in this area is crap) and dr wont do anything else to help.

I'll be back after a few days, hopefully full of ttc vigour but for now I am off to sneak a very bad cigarette and bar of choc.

I will of course still be routing for you ei in the next few days

Group hug anyone?

Xx

07mumstheword · 08/08/2008 19:51

PnM I'm so sorry TEW turned up. Did you say earlier that the medical prof won't do anything for you yet? But you've been trying long enuf? Sorry, I've probably missed your posts on that before, if you don't want to go thru it again I understand. I really feel for you (((((hugs)))))

GG & Bucky Mr Needles isn't that bad! He does at least look over 18 whilst he's not my cup of tea I can certainly see why one might get flustered around him especially for the treatment he is giving you. I'd give him a 7 out of 10!

I know I'm not in the same boat as you girls anymore but I feel like you were my support for the year I was TTC. I'm so pleased you don't mind a few of us oldies hanging around. I keep looking on because if anyone deserves BFP's it is each and every one of you ladies. I can't tell you how much I wish you your BFP's. Let's hope you don't have to suffer any more monthly disappointments.
