I am still obsessively checking MN . I need help. I am super tired today as well and bored and falling asleep on my keyboard again.

Mibbsey and 07MTW nice to see you still check in on us. Time is going so quickly.

Caitni I will have to test before you disappear. I am so jealous, I wish I was going on holidays.

GG Hope all is ok and we can hook up next week. [higs]

MOB and PicknMix come back!!!

SH i am still smiling over your news!! What did your DH say? I'm sure he is over the moon.

Bucky am so hoping for you too... If you do test tomorrow, can you do it really early (and post early) as i have to leave for work early

MarieCharlie Welcome to our thread. Good luck with ttc - looking forward to chatting to you more.

I have enjoyed all the book discussion - i am an avid reader too. Whilst i was on holiday, one i enjoyed was "Tell it to the Skies" by Erica James. Along a similar line to the "Kevin" book (but in a very different style) is "Nineteen Minutes" by Jodi Picoult. I have also enjoyed "The Kite Runner" and, by the same author, who's name i forget " A Thousand Splendid Suns". One of my favourite books in a long time was "The Historian" - i forget that author as well. We should start a WIMBEWAIF book club!!

GG you were asking if we had thought any more about ICSI, well, we are basically hoping and praying that it will be a possibility for us, as i don't think there is any chance of us conceiving any other way. We are determined to go ahead with it if it is a possibility. We have made an appt to see a consultant at a clinic (privately, as there is no point continuing with the NHS as they won't fund treatment anyway) - it is not the closest to us, but it is where the consultant that i met through work is based (we are not seeing him though)DH is doing a test on 29th august and then we have the appt on 1st sept. I am excited, but also terrified that they may say that it will never happen, and that ICSI is not a possibility. I guess it will be either the beginning or the end of the journey for us. Sorry to the rest of you for repeating all this, but GG asked, and i think she was away (there's a surprise ) when i booked it.

Anyhow, i have decided, forget about the baby, i want to be pregnant just to have great nails

Hello to everyone i haven't named personally, hope everyone is doing ok today.

ScaryHairy · 20/08/2008 14:22

I want to go home too.
No, I don't feel at all pregnant! I do feel midly sick, but that is because I have this stupid cold-lurgy that is going around.
My nails are looking lovely at the moment too...

I keep having little twinges and some of them are on my ep side which is making me panic.

Bucky2008 · 20/08/2008 14:19

I can't concentrate!!!!!

I want to go home.

Scary do you feel pg yet? It has been quite a few hours now....

Ah well, nothing new to report just thought I would have ramble....

i can't post for long 'cause I'm off to another meeting but will look in later

Bucky - test test test test test test!!!

mibbes · 20/08/2008 13:10

OMG fabulous news Scary - yippeeeee ! Due in May - what a lovely time to have a wee baby Any idea when you'll have early scan ? I have everything crossed fro a super-sticky bean hun xx
Bucky... if your LP is 11 days and you are 12 dpo doesn't that make you late already...? AND no sign of AF. AND you have fast growing nails - mine are defo growing more quickly, I get a weekly manicure and have noticed a big difference in length and strength of nails (it wil be a bummer when baby pops out and they go back to normal !). OOhhh am getting excited for you hun - I would LOVE to see you get BFP..... Only thing is I'd defo say FMU as I got BFN at 13dpo and then BFP at 15dpo with FMU - it depends on when the egg implanted - do you have a chart we can look at to see if we can work it out, or did you get bored with temping ? oooohhh am excited ...
hello to all the other lovely 2WW ladies

Caitni · 20/08/2008 12:44

Bucky am also obsessed with MN today, though work is getting in the way grrr (roll on leaving for holidays tomorrow night!!). Glad to hear that still no AF!!

SH glad to hear you won't leave us entirely xx

07mumstheword · 20/08/2008 12:44

Scary CONGRATULATIONS I'm so pleased for you.

bucky my nails are fantastic - strong and long (7 months pg) so I reckon you can add it to symptoms. I so hope you can make it a double celebration today and report a BFP

Hello to everyone else still rooting for you too.

ScaryHairy · 20/08/2008 12:41

No you haven't. I just ahve to look like I am doing some work from time to time, that's all!

Bucky2008 · 20/08/2008 12:02

. I have killed the thread . I am getting my First Aid book out to give it the kiss of life....

OP posts:
Bucky2008 · 20/08/2008 11:18

Still on knickerwatch...absolutely no sign of AF yet. No symptoms nada. Trying not to get my hopes up....

Think positive SH, it will be ok. I second MOB though, leave us and we will hunt you down .

GG is in a meeting and will log on when she is out. I told her Scarybairny is on his/her way .

OP posts:
ScaryHairy · 20/08/2008 11:10

It's funny, I've been lurking on the AN threads, and I am not sure I can bring myself to start the May 09 thread.
I'm just really worried that I would start it and then have to leave within a few weeks.
Am thinking I just need to bite the bullet.

MOB I will NEVER leave you, poppet.

Madoldbird · 20/08/2008 11:03

Huh! Look at SH - get's a BFP and goes off and starts a new thread

Don't you dare think that it means you can spend less time with us - we need you to motivate us!!!

(I will be back properly later - i promise)

ScaryHairy · 20/08/2008 11:02

Ha ha ha - me too!

Bucky2008 · 20/08/2008 10:59

Yes you start your thread SH I am sooo excited for you .

I am obsessed with MN today . I keep checking like every 2 mins . Not even sure what I am checking for .

OP posts:
Caitni · 20/08/2008 10:52

Bucky I know how you're feeling (I've never had even a faint line!) but you will get a BFP. I know you will. I stay hopeful for you because it helps me stay hopeful for myself .

SH start that AN thread if you want to girlie! With a due date of 1 May then it seems only right to step up and start it

ScaryHairy · 20/08/2008 09:58

That is not true, Bucky. You will get one soon.

Thanks for all the good wishes, girls. It means a lot. I know that everytime someone gets a BFP on this thread I am really pleased for them but at the same time it does make me feel a bit unsettled and makes me wonder when it will be my turn. So I really appreciate that you are all so supportive, as I know you all have your own personal ishoos to deal with. I just can't wait for the rest of you to get soem good news too.

Although I am feeling somewhat nervous I sort of can't resist the opportunity to start an ante-natal thread! I will be due on 1 May assuming this one is viable and as far as I can see there is no 'Due in May 2009' thread yet...

Bucky2008 · 20/08/2008 09:52

I left the twinset at home, i will have to buy more unless I wait till I get home...It probably won't be a BFP though, I NEVER get one!

OP posts:
Caitni · 20/08/2008 09:51

ScaryHairy woo hoo congratulations!!! I'm delighted for you, absolutely delighted

Bucky I'm getting tentatively excited for you too. 3am peeing sounds like a pretty good symptom to me...

Again, SH you've made my morning with your good news

ScaryHairy · 20/08/2008 09:40

Arg! DO A TEST BUCKY!

(I actually got a BFP yesterday lunch time but was waiting for digital confirmation - FMU is overrated once you get to about 12dpo I reckon, so get on with it...)

Bucky2008 · 20/08/2008 09:24

Probably should not jinx myself with symptoms though....

OP posts:
Bucky2008 · 20/08/2008 09:22

I knew it, I knew it . Good news yaaaaaaay. Congratulations SH we all needed some good news, that is fantastic . This one will be sticky, I know that too....

Well I have resisted testing . Mainly for practical reasons. I keep waking up at 3am to pee, and at that time I am NOT testing with FMU! I am not officially late till after today though as I am 12dpo today and LP is 11 days.

Do your nails and hair grow faster when pg? . If so, I have a symptom. I have acrylic nails and usually I only have to get them filled every 2-3 weeks. They have grown literally twice as fast this week and after one and a half weeks they are double the length they usually are at two weeks. How freaky is that????

Hooray again for Scaryhairy

OP posts:
PicknMix · 20/08/2008 07:54

Couldn't read your news and not post even though am seriously late for work!! So quick message from me too to say congratulations SH - so happy for you

Back later to catch up properly x

ScaryHairy · 20/08/2008 07:33

Thanks MOB. It's really nice being able to tell you lot, although of course with the rest of the world I will have to keep schtum!
Now I just have to make it throught the early scan in a couple of weeks time and I will be able to relax...
