Crossed posts with you MrsH. I think the nausea is a very promising sign. I will be crossing everything for you tomorrow, as I really hope that this scan shows your little bean is sticking in very much the right place xx

And big hello to everyone else

Caitni · 04/09/2008 20:04

Bucky well done you on the gym front! The aches and pains are worth it (though, er, I haven't been to the gym in over a year!). I'd like to get fit myself, and if AF arrives then that's my plan. And good news about the Norway clinic. Maybe you can combine the visit with a visit to Oslo or Bergen or somewhere (i've been to Norway a couple of times, beautiful country). I think you're normal to be scared. It's a huge step. But it's a positive step. And just think how worth it it will be when baby bucky arrives . Not too sure I'll be temping tomorrow though, I checked my other charts and I often have a high temp around now and then the inevitable plummet gets me so down. Though do have sore boobs and a strange taste in my mouth and need to pee a lot (BUT i've had such "symptoms" before so am trying to remember that). Please tell me to stop being such a TWW obsessive!

MrsHappy · 04/09/2008 20:00

Hi Guys

Bucky I know calling Norway must be a big step, but once you've done it think how you'll feel! Just pick up the phone! [getting excited now] And exercise is not good for anything!

Caitni the random high temp does sound promising - keep temping and let us know how it goes.

DG if you are about, well done on having your lovely baby. I do agree with what the others on your A.N. thread said about the feeding, though. My DD at this age fed at least every 2 hours during the day and a couple of times at night. It is tiring but I reckon if you put your wee chap to the breast really often you can soon ditch the formula (if that's what you want). You were at the Whittington weren't you? I have heard they are not great at the feeding advice - they tried to discharge my friend the day she had her son, but she didn't feel even remotely confident about feeding for another couple of days and had to ask them to let her stay!

Ei do you think you caught that egg?

I hope the foot is better, Picknmix, and that the accounts were not too tedious!

Not much news from me. Scan tomorrow and I am scared. My back is killing me and I am really worried it is not going to be a good result. Which would be very unfair since I had extreme nausea today. Please cross your fingers for me that this one is ok and I can get out of miserable limbo!

Bucky2008 · 04/09/2008 19:21

duh, I meant 'temp again tomorrow' Caitni.

I started the gym again yesterday after a three year break . I need a full body cast and an arm transplant today I am in sooooo much pain and tomorrow is the when it is supposed to hurt . Lord alone knows what I will be like tomorrow. My legs were so stiff I nearly missed my train stop today . I though exercise was supposed to be good for you?

I shouldn't encourage but, again tomorrow Caitni . Holidays are the best fertility treatment. .

The IVF clinic in Norway have written back. I have to make an appointment and GO to Norway....arghhhh, I am afraid now .

Hey DG . Can't wait to see my cyber nephew .

DigitalGirl it's so so so good to hear from you (and read your birth experience). Congrats on little Alfredo (gorgeous name!). You definitely weren't too graphic, it's inspiring, an excellent reminder as to why we're all here

And hello to everyone else, hope you're all well.

I'm starting to obsess - randomly took my temp this morning, just out of curiousity, and it was 37.10, which is really high for me (the highest ever recorded in fact). Now of course wishing I hadn't as it's feeding my TWW madness! Keep muttering to myself that one temp alone doesn't mean anything...

digitalgirl · 03/09/2008 22:25

Hello ladies,

bucky thanks for popping into the other thread! Can't quite believe it myself! And sorry if I've put anyone off with the graphic detail - I'm sure I could have been even more explicit given the time .

This time last year I was on this thread wondering why my cycles were getting longer. Now I have my baby boy, Alfredo, and it's ll been worth it. Even at 3 days old he likes to snuggle.

I'll be keeping an eye on you as I have a feeling I'll be spending a lot more time on MN (despite DH thinking I should be using this time to get some rest)

DG xxx

Caitni · 03/09/2008 14:21

Hi ladies,

So I'm back from holidays (and nicely jetlagged! so work is a bit of a struggle today...). So good to read through the posts and catch up on people's news.

PnM you poor thing with your broken foot! Hope you're managing OK. Glad to hear your DH is being so helpful, even if you can't actually make a cup of tea

MOB yay!!! I'm so glad to hear it's all systems go . It's great to see you excited. It makes me excited for you too . Full steam ahead for the madoldbaby (or even madoldtwins )

MrsHappy love the name change! Hope all's well with you lady, any symptoms yet?

Ei also love your name change! In fact, it's one I could probably nick myself (I bought seven handbags in the Ollie & Nic sale before I went on holidays - which should satisfy my cravings for a while!). How's life with you?

Bucky lucky you with a weekend in NYC to look forward to. We spent one night & day in NYC and even the nightmare drive out of manhattan (about an hour and a half to go a few miles!) was worth it. And glad to hear of the progress re assisted conception. Scanhealth looks good (yes, I am indeed a google-a-holic). Who knew Scandinavia, that bastion of expensive living, would be so much more reasonable for assisted conception?

And wow at DG's birth story!

Big waves to mibbes MTW Shreksmissus and everyone else.

Not much to report with me. The holiday was fantastic, very relaxing (probably because I wasn't temping or using the CB monitor and was often too busy reading or relaxing with friends & family to actually think about ttc!!). Old habits die hard though, so was checking CM and from that I reckon I ov'd last Wed. We had plenty of BDing so all I can do now is hope and wait until next Tuesday (when period is due) and try not to symptom spot. Aim is to avoid getting myself all worked up just for the disappointment of my period arriving.

Bucky2008 · 03/09/2008 11:25

Thanks 07MTW, I read it . OMG...why are we pursuing this exactly . Aww, she is such a brave soldier.

CD13 here already . I was going to try not to count days this month. Also as I am going on a girly weekend in New York in October, I think I will suspend my IVF plans till I get back so no news on that front from me here either.

Boring....

PicknMix hows the footsie today? Still got the bucket .

Morning all. Just been on the due Sept thread and DG has posted a fantastic account of her birth experience, I was sure you'd all be interested. Get a cuppa and settle down for a good read.

EisAHandbagaHolic · 02/09/2008 20:42

MOB excellent news on the blood test results and great news that your doc is happy to continue with your treatment and your smear test wont affect it in any way
PnM hope you arent working too hard getting those sales figures together
SM hi how are you??
bucky hope things are ok with you
mrsH how are you? any symptoms?
hi to everyone else
xx ei xx

PicknMix · 02/09/2008 19:24

Definitely enjoy your excitement mob - its very exciting and you deserve to feel a little optimism!! Good news re the smear test as well!

I'm bad - I've been meaning to say a massive hellooooo to Shrek!! How are you and what are you up to?? X

mibbes · 02/09/2008 19:18

MOB fabulous news missus am so pleased things are moving for you xx

Madoldbird · 02/09/2008 19:15

Thank you MrsH MTW & PnM

It's so nice to feel excited - just makes me realise how ttc had got me down generally, without me even realising. As I said before, I'm sure there will be lows as well as highs along the way, but at the moment we are enjoying feeling positive. By the way, i forgot to say, the dr was not at all bothered by my smear test result - if anything needs dealing with along the way, it can be sorted, or wait until i (fingers crossed) give birth. That stupid NHS leaflet gave me huge amounts of worry over nothing!

I guess i'd better go and introduce myself to the "assisted conception" ladies soon - not that it means i will neglect you lot of course!!

PnM Crumbs! You've got a lot to do!! That'll teach you for saying you have nothing to do

07mumstheword · 02/09/2008 16:56

Brilliant news MOB

PicknMix · 02/09/2008 16:22

Mob thats great news!!!!!

My firms accountant has just emailed me and asked me to get sales figures for May, June and July to him by tomorrow morning..... Guess I wont be bored anymore!

MrsHappy · 02/09/2008 15:25

Yay - lovely news MOB.

Madoldbird · 02/09/2008 15:04

It was 7.5. Anything under 10 is good, so it's all systems go!!! I feel i can get excited now

Madoldbird · 02/09/2008 14:03

Not there yet... nurse will call me back later if they are back today.

PicknMix · 02/09/2008 12:31

Have you rung them yet MOB?

Good idea re the tea - will gently suggest it to DH tonight

Madoldbird · 02/09/2008 11:46

You're not talking to yourself, PnM!! I'm here, on and off. How's the foot?

I was thinking, you should get your DH to make a flask with your nice tea in it!

Am so jittery and anxious, i can ring after 12pm for my blood test results. They may not be back for 48hrs, but i can try today. It all hinges on this...

PicknMix · 02/09/2008 11:04

At the risk of sounding like I'm talking to myself....

Morning everyone!

Hope you're all ok x

PicknMix · 01/09/2008 21:58

Thats brilliant news MOB - really chuffed for you. And what a relief! What time will you get your test results back?

Bucket might be the best way to go for me. Definitely getting in some extra mn time though (alternated with a bit of Facebook!). Foot is up and dh has stocked up the cupboard with 'nice' things for me (he bought some lovely teabags for me but I can't bring myself to tell him that I can't carry a cup of tea through to the sofa whilst on crutches so they're pretty redundant )
