Hm, well she just called to say she can't get through to the EPAU at all. Which begs the question of why I managed to get through to them on my first try. Weird.

Caitni · 08/09/2008 15:29

MrsH your GP sounds terrible . I appreciate that the surgery is probably v busy, but this scan is vital to you so can't believe they can't even set it up. Am hoping your HCG levels rise. What time are you going to the EPAU tomorrow?

MrsHappy · 08/09/2008 15:00

GP still hasn't called now. Flipping ridiculous. It's a good thing I am not reliant on her and have called the hospital myself. This is all going in my very long complaint letter to the PCT.

I have researched HCG levels and mine are (just) in normal range. I remain unconvinced that it's all over... (and I hope that the backache and mild cramps are just too much Pret dried mango)

I have fingers crossed for you Caitni.

Caitni · 08/09/2008 14:27

MrsH I'm so at your GP for not even being able to organise the scan for you. As if you don't have enough to deal with . And I also hope that the scan tomorrow reveals better news - I'll be thinking of you and keeping everything crossed xxx

MOB hope you enjoyed your roast!

Ei hmmm where is that egg? It's possible for temps to not show a totally dramatic shift and for ov to still take place, so here's hoping your BD-ing marathon pays off!

PnM how's the foot? Hope that plaster got sorted.

Bucky hello luvvie, any news about a trip to Norway in early winter??

AF due for me tomorrow - temps aren't great, but no spotting at all so far. Which is a big thing for me, as I've had pre-AF spotting for ages (usually starts 2-3 days before). And no skin break outs either, which is also unusual. Though am thinking this is just my body playing a cruel trick, to get my hopes up, so that I can be gutted when my period shows. I caved in and did a test yesterday - BFN of course. I hate FR tests.

And am on total knicker watch...my colleagues must think I have the weakest bladder in Christendom the amount of trips I've made to the bathroom today.

MrsHappy · 08/09/2008 11:48

Thanks Ei. The GP still hasn't managed to speak to the EPAU to book me an appointment so I am at work. I gave up on her and spoke to the EPAU myself and they said they are very busy today so can I come tomorrow, which of course I will.

I know this sounds terribly naive, but I can't help feeling that they've got it wrong and I am just havign a weird preganny but that all will be well. Here's hoping.

EisAHandbagaHolic · 08/09/2008 02:40

sorry MrsH i meant as mibbes thought although im sure MOB thinks it too xx

mibbes · 07/09/2008 21:42

SH just wanted to pop in and say I am so sorry you are going through even more heartache - I will have everything crossed that there has been a mistake and you get better news tomorrow. Keep us updated hun xx

MrsHappy · 07/09/2008 21:03

Hi MOB I'm bearing up and clutching at straws. Somewhere in my heart I can't believe it is over and so I am off to the Dr tomorrow to get some more tests.

Hope everyone is ok. Sorry I can't post more right now, am feeling terribly self-absorbed, but I am thinking about you all.

Madoldbird · 07/09/2008 19:08

SH How are you? Stupid question i know, because of course you are not alright, but just wanted to see how things are and let you know that you are still very much in my thoughts. XX

PnM How's the foot? Did you have to get a looser plaster put on?

Caitni How's things? Any more symptoms?

Bucky Done anything else regarding Norway?

EI Any signs of ov yet?

JB Nice to see you. How are things with you and jolly cub? How many weeks are you now? (Just trying to work out when our next cyber neice / nephew is due)

Big hello to everyone else!

Just cooking a nice roast with all the trimmings, so off to finish it, and then stuff my face...

EisAHandbagaHolic · 05/09/2008 21:34

bloody hell mrsH im so sorry i really hope the sonographer was a duffer and you get a more accurate scan from you GP as this should force them to action xxx take care of yourself and please come back to us when you are ready xxxxx {{{{{{{{big higs}}}}}}}
hi to everyone else
xx ei xx

Caitni · 05/09/2008 19:50

MrsH Again, I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this. It's a terrible thing to have to go through. I hope the NHS steps up and treats you properly. The last thing you need now is any more stress in getting a proper diagnosis. I know we all deserve BFPs and healthy pregnancies, but you in particular have been through so much these past months

Hope everyone else is doing well. Things fine here - bit of a lower temp for me this morning so feet firmly back on the ground again and ignoring all imaginary "symptoms". Convinced AF will show as usual so going to have some wine tonight.

PnM we're planning to head over to your neck of the woods (kind of) tomorrow, going to Stansted Park for a food festival thingy (see here). Though if the weather stays foul we may just stay closer to home...

MrsHappy · 05/09/2008 17:03

Thanks for the good wishes everyone.
Bucky I suppose it is possible that the sonographer was not too good, that my dates are a wee bit out, that the fluid near my ovary is benign and that my HCG will pick up. It is also possible (I think) given that babies in my family are always late, that we are slow starters.

But I don't want to find any reason to get my hopes up right now, because I don't want to be disappointed like that again. I was genuinely shocked not to see the bean on the screen.

I'll go to the GP on Monday and try to get the NHS to do their job. If the diagnosis is going to take loads of tests I am not that pleased to be paying for it (at a few hundred for a consultation and scan, God knows how much per blood test!)

I can't believe I am dealing with this all over again...

JollyBear · 05/09/2008 16:32

Hello everyone,

I'm so sorry SH. I really do hope that they are mistaken and things work out for you. Life really can be so horribly unfair .

I've not posted for a bit because the internet was playing up, so belated congratulations to DG. I'll go and read your birth story now. I think you have chosen a really lovely name for your little DS.

I'm really pleased things are moving for you MOB. Great news on the results and I bet you are itching to get started. I'll have all my fingers and toes crossed for you.

Sounds like things are progressing with you too Bucky! Why did you choose a clinic in Norway? Sorry if you have already posted this . It is amazing that things can get going so quickly!

PnM Your poor foot! I hope your DP is looking after you with lots of cups of tea and healing chocolate .

Hello ei, hope your egg gets a move on!

Hello to anyone I've inadvertently missed.

Bucky2008 · 05/09/2008 13:30

MrsH I am really sorry it went badly. Is there any hope at all? Remember when Fairywatsername had that molar pregnancy and a d&c and then ended up still pregnant with a perfectly healthy baby , is there no way that it could still be ok? I don't mean to get your hopes up, but as corny and annoying as it is there is still hope until there is no hope isn't there???? . I feel terrible for you, you really needed some good news.

I'm gutted. This sucks.

OP posts:
Caitni · 05/09/2008 12:06

Oh god MrsH, I'm so so sorry to hear this . You poor thing . Remember that we're all here for you but please take as much time as you need to take care of yourself. I hope you get a full answer about what's happening soon.
Love and hugs
Caitni

Madoldbird · 05/09/2008 11:16

Oh no, SH absolutely gutted for you.
Just can't believe it. I have tears in my eyes. Goodness only knows how you must be feeling. Hope you get all the care and treatment you need to determine what is happening.

Totally understand that you may not be around for a while, but I hope you know we are all here to listen if you are able to come on. Lots of love and hugs. XX

Back later.

PicknMix · 05/09/2008 11:07

Oh god sh, I'm so sorry to hear that. Please take good care of yourself. Am thinking of you - major hugs. I know its difficult at the moment but plse let us know how you're doing when you feel ready xx

MrsHappy · 05/09/2008 10:47

Not good news from the scan I'm afraid.
There is something in my uterus - it could be a "pseudo sac" (sign of ectopic) or it could be a failing pregnancy.
There is possibly also something in my right tube, but they aren't sure what.
I don't know what's going on but it is not right, that's for sure.

I probably won't post for a bit because I am feeling seriously bruised.

I hope you're all ok.

PicknMix · 05/09/2008 10:37

Hi all,

Cyber-hand holding going on here sh - let us know how it goes x

Ahhh, dg, lovely to have an update - so excited to hear about the arrival of little Alfredo. Let us know how you're getting on xx

Bucky re getting on a plane and just going tomorrow! How completely liberating (thats not the word I'm looking for but hope you know what I mean). Get that DP reading! And with regards to exercising - I'm currently laid up on the sofa with a plaster cast on for FOUR weeks due to the 'extreme' tennis I played!! Exercise is def off the pnm routine now!

Hiya Caitni - sounds like you've had a fab time away! Can understand totally the need to not obsess (but really want to ask if you temped this morning !).

Hello Ei - get that lazy egg to get a move on!

How are you doing MOB?

Well, as mentioned above, went to the hospital yesterday and thought they'd be removing my plaster - even took a spare shoe with me [dozy cow emoticon] as I thought I'd be walking back out again. No such luck - cast is back on for 4 wks. Couldn't sleep last night though as plaster so tight so may make another trip to hospital today. Gah! So annoying!

Bucky2008 · 05/09/2008 10:02

Ei there is no waiting list, we just decide when we want the treatment to start. There are only two visits to Norway as well so I could go next week if they had an appointment . I haven't called yet. DP wants to read all the bumpf they sent me.

Mrs H, let us know how you get on.

Higs and waves to everyone else, hope you are having a good if soggy day. .

07mumstheword · 05/09/2008 08:21

Just a quick note to wish Mrshappy all the very best at the scan today. Let us know how you get on.

Madoldbird · 04/09/2008 20:44

Evening ladies

DG lovely to "see" you. So, so excited to hear about little Alfredo. I wish you all much joy and happiness. Do keep popping to see us, won't you?!

Caitni lovely to have you back - glad you had a fantastic time. That random temp is promising... i would secretly be with Bucky on this one and suggest you take your temp tomorrow as well, but i don't want to be accused of encouraging your obsessing Fingers crossed for you though.

EI nearly didn't recognise you there! How are things?

Mibbes good to see you as well. How's that bump doing?

Bucky Tut tut. Exercise. You should know better Sounds like quite a commitment to have to go over to Norway initially, but if they look good then i'm sure it would be worth it.

MrsH I will be thinking of you tomorrow, and sending millions of positive vibes for good news. Nausea sounds a good thing, and back ache often is too, as the body adapts to being pregnant, ligaments stretch, etc. I suppose it's pointless to say "don't worry", but try and relax as much as you are able. Will be doing virtual hand-holding all day!!

PnM Did you get all those figures done?

See you all tomorrow. XX

EisAHandbagaHolic · 04/09/2008 20:41

hi girls
good luck for the scan tomorrow mrshappy
*bucky great news on your scandanavian baby hunt how long is the wait if you book an appointment?

xx ei xx

Bucky2008 · 04/09/2008 20:11

Caitni ...us tell you not to obsess ...um, yeah right! . Sounding promising though.

MrsHappy good name, but I am finding it hard not to call you SH!! I am keeping everything crossed for you for tomorrow. Third time lucky I am sure .
