Good evening cyber Aunties

Freya Mae was born yesterday at 12.08pm weighing 7lb 12oz. We are home now all going well. I will probably post birth story in the announcements when I have the energy but wanted to let you lovely ladies know.

MrsHappy · 09/10/2008 09:50

Just a quickie to say yes, MOB my egg did appear. The day after we did the Stupid Thing.

Oh well, what will be will be, and it may well be nothing since I only have the one tube!

Madoldbird · 09/10/2008 09:44

Hellooooooooo!!!!!

Where are all my WIMBEWAI(N)F buddies you must all be working hard this week!

MTW Any news????!!!! Am so excited

Unituber Glad you are almost all healed up now. Any sign of that egg ( i know you are not properly trying yet, but still...)When's that appt?

Caitni Sounds like you had a fantastic weekend. You two are going to make such wonderful parents. Good luck for this cycle.

Bucky So good to hear you sound back on form and happy. Can't believe your NYC trip has come round so quick. I was watching that programme about it last night, so i am very . You must tell us more about the tattoo as well!!

EI Any sign of a +ve OPK yet? If not, keep at it girl!

JB Lovely to see you. How's our Jollycub doing?

Not much news here. I have got another week on the pill to go, then my first scan a week on Monday. Will be glad to get off the pill, though, as everything has been rather, ahem.. dry . We are missing my EWCM

TheUNITUBER · 07/10/2008 20:50

Hello my darlings.

MTW how flipping exciting! I had a feeling you might be starting to go into labour and lucky you having all of these signs. When I had my DD I had nothing - no BH, no show, no leaking nips. My friend who had the whole lot was 9cm by the time she got to the hospital and had a 2 hour labour. I, on the other hand, took 12 hours to get to 1cm and another 20-odd hours to do the rest! Lots of activity before the main event is the way forwards as far as I can see! And it sounds like you are going to be very glamorous as you heave out that baby!!

Bucky I am glad you're having fun and finding the old Bucky although please don't leave us altogether!

JG I hope you're ok and that work are not putting you under too much pressure.

Caitni I am so glad you had a good weekend and that you are upbeat about your period showing up. Your post was very sweet, I'm sure you'll be a lovely mummy.

I hope your egg shows up soon Ei and that it is a really good, extra sticky one (with a sense of direction).

JB it's nice to see you. How is everything going? Not long to go now, hey?

Picknmix I forgot to say "well done" on getting your new job. Have you decided what to do yet?

RFN2 every 2 days sounds like a really good plan. Have you seen the plan on the net called "sperm meets egg" or something equally novel. She suggests having sex every other day and then when you get a positive OPK going for it for (I think) 4 days in a row, skipping a day and then trying once more. Thn you are allowed to collapse from exhaustion

MOB poor you feeling a bit crappy on the pill. Have you tried upping the amount of water you drink a bit? It might help with those headaches.

No news here. My stitches are nearly all gone and all that surgery business seems like a loooong time ago, which is about as good as it can be IMO.

07mumstheword · 07/10/2008 16:40

Bucky So lovely to hear from you and great to hear how you are enjoying life at the moment. Whilst you are in NYC having the time of your life I will be having sleepless nights knee deep in nappies

Ei I do have one dd 3.5 years old. I did OPK's for a few months when TTC this bean but borrowed a Persona fertility monitor used OPK's and started temping when I finally conceived so hopefully you'll get BFP soon I found that OPK's were very helpful but I wanted to try everything. Keep BD'ing and good luck

I saw midwife today and she thinks I could be in very early labour so watch this space

Bucky2008 · 07/10/2008 15:19

God, a million typos...I meant tattoos are not everyone's cup of tea...

And I am boring at the moment in terms of cycle but excited at the moment in terms of life....

OP posts:
Bucky2008 · 07/10/2008 15:17

Hey I am still here. Just v. boring at the moment. I am v. excited at the moment, 2.5 weeks till my NYC trip, my first ever horse riding lesson next week AND (its a secret don't tell) I am getting another tattoo...I have one although it is not visible to the general public and I have a consultation to get a bit added on which I can't wait for. Tattoos are everyone's cup of tea, but there are some beautiful designs around these days. Lord knows what people must think I look like, all dogs, fake nails and tattoos but I feel a renewed enthusiasm for life at the moment and I am very happy. I really let myself get dragged down by all the BFNs and I am starting to see the brighter side of things again.

MOB How long have you been taking the pills now? A couple of weeks yet?

Headaches and tetchiness doesnt sound fab, but I feel really positive for you. I really hope you get that BFP at the end of the cycle.

Caitni Sorry about TEW. You are just around the corner from me, we should have lunch sometime. I just can't figure out how to contact you at the moment....I will maybe make up a hotmail address...

JB Thank you for missing me that is very sweet . Not long now. We were supposed to meet our cyber nephew digibean on Friday but DG still getting the hang of her routine so it will be in a couple of weeks now, but I can't wait to be an aunty again .

Ei finger crossed for you this month again. Now that you know what to do it can all turn out fine.

UniT Are you all healed up now? How are you feeling physically...good to go?

Much love to PicknMix, 07MTW, JG, RFN2 and everyone else (eelcatcher where are you?).

JG is really busy and they are monitoring the internet usage at her work and she has no connection at home last time I heard which could be why she is AWOL. Not to forget her jetset lifestyle

Laters ladies. Keep good. x

JollyBear · 07/10/2008 12:56

Hello everyone,

JG I hope you are OK and just madly busy with work or on holiday again!

Bucky It isn't the same on here without you either. I hope things are good with you and those hounds of yours.

Caitni Your post about your neices is really touching - it got me all sniffly. Steady temps is a good sign. I got my BFP after temping so I am a big fan - hope you get yours too

P&M Glad to hear your leg is now free! I cannot believe the delays that you are having to face just to get a simple SA. It really is bonkers.

readyforno2 Good luck this month! Your mum sounds amazing to have been through all that.

Uni Hope you are still healing nicely and that you get a "surprise" BFP this month.

MTW I'm very excited for you! Sounds like you are all prepared . Do keep us updated on how things are going.

Sorry and hello to anyone I've forgotten!

07mumstheword · 07/10/2008 09:34

Caitni I'm so glad to hear you had such a lovely wkend with your nieces. It brought a tear to my eye when you said about comforting your niece in the middle of the night and how long you yearn for your own DC. I do hope you get your BFP soon it sounds like you and DH would make fantastic parents.

I had my haircut last Thurs, Reflexology on Sat and a pedicure yesterday so I'm sufficiently pampered and ready to go into hospital I keep getting period type aches at night but nothing by morning although I think I had a show this morning so could happen soon and you will become virtual Aunties again

It's very quiet on this thread at the moment so I'm sending vibes and hoping you are all ok.

Caitni · 06/10/2008 22:15

Evening everyone

UniT try not to stress too much, especially as the bad tube is gone so your risk of another EP is much lower - the egg can drift across to your good tube. I agree with MOB, if you get a BFP then it's great and if you don't it's like warming up for trying properly next month! You've reminded me I must make an app to go and see Mr Needles again...it's been ages since I went

MOB sorry to hear the pill is making you feel a bit tetchy. But it will be worth it in the long run! When's your next app? I'm still so excited that you've started treatment. My feeling is that you may be the next one to give us some good news on this thread!!

Bucky I'm sorry to hear it's a weird phase, but take as long as you need to get your head round things. We're here whenever you want to drop in, though hope you don't lurk too much as I'll miss your posts, and hearing about your dogs (mis)adventures with footwear and the like (I need all the vicarious dog stories I can get until I get a dog of my own!)

PnM so glad to hear the cast is off - yay!! Though was thinking "WTF??" about your DH's tww for results. I'd suggest hassling the GPs a bit, I bet that would speed them up a bit And congrats on the new job! Even if you don't take it (have you made a decision?), the ego boost of being offered it must be great!

RFN2 thanks for sharing your mum's story, I find it quite inspirational despite the heartache she and your dad must have suffered through. And I'm glad that your DS brings such joy. Here's to you getting a BFP soon so that your parents can share in some more happy news - let the BD-fest begin!!

07MTW hope you're spoiling yourself and getting ready for the arrival of your baby

JG hope you're doing well and not working too hard!

Ei hope you had a lovely weekend xx

Hi to all our preggo ladies too

Well AF got me - CD2 for me. I wasn't too upset - as had a bit of spotting, which is a definite AF on her way sign for me. I hate the spotting, but at least it means I can get all my upset out of the way before AF arrives properly. And my temps were nice and steady this month, I think the vits have been helping.

And I had a fantastic weekend with my two nieces, although am quite knackered still. But I'm not complaining, as I actually loved getting up in the night when the 18 month old was crying (you can tell I don't have to do that often ). But to comfort a crying baby, to have them fall asleep in my arms, sure that's the stuff I day dream about . Me and DH had great fun play acting at being parents - baking cookies yesterday afternoon, splashing through puddles, finger painting. My DH is great with kids, and my nieces love him. Twas also nice to give my sister and her DH a longed for weekend away too. They don't know we're ttc, but I reckon they suspect. Thank god they don't mention anything though, as I actually like not having the pressure around them...

anyway, enough rambling from me! Higs and love to everyone
xxx

Madoldbird · 06/10/2008 21:03

unituber It's not a stupid thing you've done, it's a natural thing! (albeit a bit quick off the mark ) Don't forget - the dodgy tube has gone now - if you get pregnant then great, there's no reason there should be a problem. If not, then you have the next cycle to look forward to, when you can "officially" get going again. Yes - it is very peculiar using contraception!! (although for another purpose). It's actually making me quite headachy and tetchy, but it's all worth it in the long run.

RFN2 Yay! Not long till you ov! Look out for that EWCM.

EI Did you have a nice relaxing weekend?

Bucky How are you this week?

JG I am getting worried about you . Hope you are ok. Has AF shown up? (Hope not - of course - still willing you to get pg before your treatment starts)

caitni How was your weekend? Are you worn out?? Any news on AF from you???? (Sorry to ask, it's just i have a real feeling that October is going to bring good news to this thread - so someone needs to prove me right!!)

PnM How's that poor foot? i hope you are getting more mobile as each day goes by.

readyfornum2 · 06/10/2008 16:47

UNI I am sure that everything will be fine, you never know this might be a very happy "accident" for you

Well its cd 8 so nothing to report,I have been being naughty food wise these last couple of weeks and have managed to gain quite a few lbs so as of this morning I am back on my diet to lose it! I have also started going to the gym which should help aswell

The BDing has begun for the month and I am aiming for every other day I usually ov around day 14 so will hopefully be the same this month.
Why does it seem such a long month when ttc and when your not ttc af seems to be here all the time lol!!

TheUNITUBER · 06/10/2008 08:17

Hi Ladies

Just a quickie from me today to say I hope you all had a lovely weekend.

RFN your poor mother going through all of that. Even if it is a bit painful I'm sure it must be so lovely for your mother to see you pregnant and having children. When my sister is pregnant I always think it's the next best thing to me being up the duff!

Mob how is the pill? It's so counter-intuitive going on contraception, don't you think?

PnM I can't believe that SA results take so long. WTF? At the clinic we're going to apparently they do the test immediately before the appointment and give the results in the appointment. But then I suppose that they are all in the same building. But where on earth is the lab that your DH's test goes to? Adelaide or somethere?!

Judith that was you I saw at Mr Needles wasn't it? (Forgive me, I'm a bit blurry in the mornings...)

Bucky am thinking of you even if you are taking time off.

I have done a VERY STUPID THING. We were not entirely careful and so now I am worried about having to have more surgery when instead I should be going to meetings overseas next month that have been booked for ages. Must stop fretting, if I do get pregnant (not much hope of that since I think I will ovulate on my bad side) this one will surely be fine...

EisAHandbagaHolic · 05/10/2008 12:25

hi ladies
just a quickie to say i hope everyone is having a nice relaxing sunday xx il catch up later on as im on the way out to pick DD up from my mums house
xx ei xx

Madoldbird · 03/10/2008 20:03

Meant to also say... hello to EI & JG - hope you are both ok, and hello to the pregnant ladies!!!

Madoldbird · 03/10/2008 20:01

Good evening everyone

Caitni Hope you are having lots of fun babysitting! I bet you will be absolutely exhausted at the end of it. Fingers firmly crossed for you that AF stays away...

PnM Thank you for what you said a couple of posts ago - not mushy at all, but very touching. Where would i be without you all. HELLO LEG I bet it's lovely to have the plaster off. Take it easy though, while it strengthens again. Sounds like you have a difficult decision to make about your job. When do you have to decide by? It's so easy to put everything on hold whilst ttc - but if this is a really good opportunity for you you have to consider it. And lets face it, if you are happy and fulfilled then it can only be a good thing all round. Well done to MrPnM for going to give his sample. It is ridiculous how long it takes to get the results (it took us ages first time)so i will be willing away the next coule of weeks for you!

Unituber it does sound like that egg is waiting until your body is healed

RFN2 that was heartbreaking to read about your mum. She has clearly been through such a lot. How lovely that your DS can bring the whole family such pleasure, and heal some of the pain. Here's hoping you get a BFP very soon, that can bring you all even more joy. Speaking of which - go pounce on your DH if you haven't already done so

Bucky that you for telling us about how you have been feeling. So much of what you said rang true for me as well, i hope you know that you are not alone in these "weird" feelings. I think it is normal to feel detatched from the thought of a baby after months / years of trying. The longer you try i think the more remote the possibility seems. Even though i have 2 older DC, i still find it impossible now to think of myself with a newborn, and sometimes feel almost ambivilent (sp?) about it, whilst at the same time, desperately wanting it. We have also found that ttc has had a huge impact on our physical relationship, and TBH it has been more or less non-existent for a few weeks. However, now we are starting the ivf, and we do not have to do it for that purpose any more, things are getting back on track, and it's becoming FUN again . What i'm trying to say, in a roundabout way, is i really hear where you are coming from, and i think your feelings are rather more normal than you may imagine. Do look after yourself - it would be lovely if you can pop in and let us know how you are doing, but i do understand why you may need a bit of distance. XX
