Ooh, ei . I have ranted profusely about crap doctors on other threads, but just wanted to say well done for not taking that lying down

beanieb · 16/07/2008 07:46

Hood for you ie,

I just had a shock. CD10 and I have a peak on my monitor!

I ovulate regularly aroound CD15/16 so this is weird. Am wondering id bevause my period was 5 or 6 days late, does my body think I am on CD 16?

Does that even make sense?

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 15/07/2008 21:36

hi ladies
jaamy sorry about the BFN i would give it a few more days and test again
on the LWH referral front i have had terrible trouble with my GP about it! she had told me i was going to be referred as soon as my urine test results were in and when i went to see her about the results she refused to refer me saying alot of pregnancies end in MC and theres nothing anyone can do to prevent it so i should stop trying altogether!! she then told me that because my results of a urine test taken over a week after the CP bleeding started turned out to be negative (as they would be) that i was never preg to begin with and i was just having irregular bleeding!! i showed her the positive tests i had in the first appointment so she knew i had been preg for a short time!! i ended up making a complaint to the practice manager through PALS and she has apologised profusely and taken everything she said and tried to say she meant it in another way she is now going to refer me to someone who actually knows what they are talking about ttc-wise! so moaning does get you somewhere afterall i hope you can make it on friday it will be lovely to see you again
how is everyone else doing??
xx ei xx

Sparkly08 · 15/07/2008 17:04

Pinkpip Huge congrats to you .
Jaamy at BFN. I'd wait a few days and test again. Fingers tightly crossed for you.
Blackrock I'd love to have a nose at your chart. You've only posted the fertilityfriend link though. To post your chart you need to go to 'homepage setup' and then copy the link from there.

blackrock · 15/07/2008 16:40

Super news Pinkpip!

Ovulation is a tricky old thing. I read all the lessons on friend.com and didn't think I had ovulated, but according to the analysis I ovulated three days ago. My basal temp rose slighly .5 C and monitoring other bits a pieces too, but these are not fertile according to the lessons. This is all a bit techy for me! I have just hurt my back, so BD might be out of the question for a few days, unless I want to end laid up in bed motionless (I have a prolapsed disk from old adventures)!

JustJaamy sounds like you had a relaxing time, thinking of you at CD36.

JustJaamy · 15/07/2008 14:13

Pinkpip - HUGE CONGRATULATIONS!! May you get very fat and happy (in the nicest possible way! ).

Ei - sorry TEW caught up with you again. Have you heard anything re appt at LWH?

beabieb - would go for the herbalist in the hope that that which doesn't kill you makes you more fertile!

Hope everyone else is OK [waves]

CD36 here and no sign of the old red hag or a BFP. Tested today but had a BFN. Really don't know what my body is playing at. You would think that after a nice relaxing holiday in the sun with lots of BD I'd easily be up the duff! May be my ovaries were so relaxed they forgot to ovulate. . Will wait another week before POAS again.

daisyj · 15/07/2008 14:02

pinkpip - wonderful! Congratulations

Morning everyone.
Speaking very tentatively, as I'm only managing to get very faint lines on the ebay cheapie tests, but I did get a clear line on an asda hpt yesterday, so....I think...BFP !

Beanie Funny you should say that...my temp was very low today and I'm spotty. I only notice these things around OV and that's not due for another 5 days. I'm pretty sure I'm going to OV early after my strange cycle.
Moonlit Sorry she got you

beanieb · 14/07/2008 11:47

Had a weird thing. After the EWCM just as my period was stopping I remembered to pee on my Fertility monitor stick for the first time (CD 8) this month and got a 'high'. I usually don't stert getting Highs until about day 12. Perhaps I will ovulate earlier this month.

scully · 14/07/2008 11:38

I think why not, for the alternative route, as long as it can't do you any harm. If the practioner is trained and a member of whatever organisation they need to be, then I think it's always worth a try. I had acupuncture when dd2 was quite late, she arrived 2 days later. I had reflexology when pregnant with her, to avoid a 2nd breech baby, she wasn't breech. I'm now having acupuncture to help after 2 m/c in 8mths and it has definitely helped in regulating things faster than my body could have on its own. Do some research and see if you can find someone local who you feel comfortable with, who is well trained, I think it's worth a shot.
I was probably one of those insensitive people who assumed everyone could get pregnant, until ttc#3 I had 2 m/c one after the other. Now I don't make assumptions anymore and am much more understanding that it's not always easy to have the family you want.

blackrock · 13/07/2008 21:02

Lou I have been getting comments like that since DS1 was a year old. Even accused of being PG for wearing a smock style top. I don't think many people mean it to harm, but it is really insensitive.

Beanie am seriously thinking about going the alternative route too!

loustillwantsaBFPtoo · 13/07/2008 19:47

girl

loustillwantsaBFPtoo · 13/07/2008 19:47

Moonlit - I am a PCOS gir too, although mine is much improved, and I have reasonably regular periods now.
Had a lovely day thanks, went to Audley End House.
xx

Moonlit · 13/07/2008 11:47

Ahh it's ok loustillwantsaBFPtoo

I have PCOS and it's a struggle. I just ignore stupid people with their insensitive comments.

I hope you have a lovely day day out.

x

beanieb · 13/07/2008 11:45

AW lou - that's harsh!

Silly woman.

Sorry to hear you're back to the top Moonlit.

A friend of mine just recommended a herbalist which she said her friend went to after months of trying and then got pregnant immediately. I'm not sure if I can put my trust in this kind of thing - what do the rest of you think? Should I try anything?

loustillwantsaBFPtoo · 13/07/2008 11:38

Morning Ladies!

Moonlit I thought cycle 12 was hard! for you...

Just wanted to share this little story, anyone else getting this sort of comment??

how is this for insensitive -
i was with a friend and her baby at a small gathering, and an aquaintance who i havent seen for about 6 months, comes up and says to me - "lovely isnt she, where's yours then, come on get a move on!"
She has no tact though. But she does know about my MC last july, so really you would think she might have held that comment in.

Honestly, because I enjoy being childless and watching everyone aound me sprog!
Cheers for that.

Am off for a day out with DH now,(to get him awway from his laptop)
hope everyone has a chilled day xx
