I havent used OPKs in a loooong time and now trying again after many years. Its my first cycle ttc in around 5 years. Since I had my last child my cycle is much more irregular and are anything from 27 to 35 days on average and I often don't have any ewcm until day 20 on the longer cycles. For various reasons I only started using the OPKs last night (cd17). I will start earlier next cycle but ive had no ewcm this round so assumed it would be a later ovulation.

The test line was quite faint. This morning (not first morning urine) I got this. Its darker than yesterday. Do you think the surge will be soon? Sorry its sideways!

How you getting on @Ahilltoliveon ?

No change at all. Thanks for asking. Normally when I have what feels like a dud cycle I have a better one next time so let's see. I'm 43 so don't think I ovulate each month.

Still the same. Negative. Same intensity since yesterday. Have had no ovulation symptoms at all this cycle such as ewcm which I usually get so dont think its going to happen. Anyway...

I would test again later @Ahilltoliveon to see if it goes darker. It is also possible that you could have peaked overnight and it’s coming down again, testing again later will help to see which way it is going!

Thank you for responding to my neurotic thread:-) am going to try again now but ive been peeing so much this morning that I cant seem to get a good reading!

I see yesterday's photo wasn't the fmu one. Anyway it was pretty similar.

This was this morning with fmu. East at home says not to use it but its what I used with the first sample yesterday. Its getting darker but still not positive. Its around day 18 or 19 now 🤔

Yes definitely getting there; dont wait for surge though! More important to DTD before surge. And you might need to test twice a day, I always got very quick surge easy to miss/

Dtd this morning and every other night for the past week! 😄

Hi @Ahilltoliveon I usually test 3 times a day when the line starts to become darker and usually find peak within 12-24 hours but it can be different for everyone. Here were my strips from a week ago. The Premom is great for reading them!

It’s close but not positive I’d say

Ok great i thought it was getting close too but didn't want to get excited. How long does it normally take to catch the surge?
