Line getting fainter?

Af was due on Sunday. Did a CB test on Sunday evening which (with the help of lovely mumsnetters) I felt was positive.

this evening (48h later) I’ve done a Tesco cheap test & I feel like the line is fainter.

I’ve had 2 chemical pregnancies before. I just don’t want to get my hopes up. I have another Tesco one to do with first wee tomorrow morning but I’m not sure if I should be doing a digital?

the CB test was Sunday and the other is today. Just want to know if there is any hope this is going to have a happy ending.

both had a colour to them (blue/ red) in person but so faint hard to capture.

would appreciate any words of wisdom - brutal honesty accepted! X

@Renisenb@xoxogosssipgirl thank you both so much! I did the Tesco this morning but stupidly held it upside down so it didn’t work 😭 thinking of buying a digital for tomorrow morning to know either way.
You have both really reassured me!
It’s so hard isn’t it x

I remember my line being faint until the week after AF was due. I agree with PP, lots of variables involved, urine concentration, brands etc.

try not to lose your mind, I know it’s hard.

It can depend on how many days after you ovulate that your period comes! I didn’t get a strong line til 18dpo (I normally get period 4/5days before that). I’m currently holding that sleeping baby now!
try on another Tesco with your first wee of the morning Xx

From what i understand it’s hard to compare how faint it is on different brands.
and even on the same brand, the main factor is of course how far along you are, but it can still vary based on urine concentration, which is variable even if it’s always your first wee.
I had fainter lines 2 days after my first positive xx
