Anyone else entering the start of the TWW?

3 DPO today and I’m already counting down the days of the TWW until I can test! šŸ™ˆšŸ˜‚

Anybody else just starting their TWW and fancy joining me to help pass the time?!

It really helped me last time to connect with others who were at the same point in their cycle, so thought I’d see if anyone else fancied a little TWW group for this cycle 😊

I’m 39, TTC my first. We’ve been trying since January, but unfortunately had an early MMC in July. This is my first cycle since, so I’m feeling hopeful! ā¤ļø

@Coffeeandtheriver I’m sorry AF arrived early, this TTC process is so hard.

Wishing you all the best for the next cycle 😊

@Springcloud26 I totally get needing the time to sit with it over the weekend. Glad that you’re feeling better now. That does sound quite exciting regarding the ovulation testing and quite a process!

Unfortunately, I’m officially out for now as AF arrived a day early yesterday, so will try the clear blue ovulation test this cycle to see if we can get the timing a bit better.

I’ll probably refocus over the next couple of weeks but may see you all back here in a few weeks!

Sending positive thoughts to everyone.

Springcloud26 · 12/10/2026 17:33

@Coffeeandtheriver I’m feeling much better after the weekend, thank you, I just needed some time to feel the disappointment. I’m not particularly hopeful for the next cycle but will dtd every few days from now, just to try a different approach!

Wednesday is close now, are you feeling anything different? Hope you get your answer soon, and I still have my fingers crossed for you this cycle!

I use the clear blue advanced ovulation tests from day 10 to track estrogen rise and then when I get the flashing smiley I also use the easy @ home strips to catch the lh peak. When I start to see the strip become darker, I’ll test 2 / 3 times a day to catch the peak! I do find that bit quite exciting šŸ˜‚. I ovulate around Day 20 so tend to have a long period of flashing smileys and run out before I catch the peak with them!

@Springcloud26 I purposefully don’t have other tests at home, as I can’t control myself with testing! I didn’t get a chance to buy any over the weekend due to it being a busy one. AF is due on Wednesday, so I may just wait now.

I’m already mentally preparing for next cycle tbh. Have I jumped ahead to calculate when the due date might be for next cycle? 100% šŸ˜‚

The lack of control is extremely frustrating, isn’t it? Even if you have the timing spot on, there seems to be such an element of random luck.

How are you feeling this week?

I hope you have some nice things planned to help distract until you Ov.

I can’t remember if you mentioned using ovulation tests? If so, do you recommend? I’ve only been using the Flo app, which I realise isn't reliable.

Springcloud26 · 10/10/2026 15:23

@Coffeeandtheriver oh no! I’m not surprised you got the wrong ones, I was looking at Amazon the other day and got so confused with all the different types! Do you have any of the cheap easy at home ones? The ones I have are sensitive at 10miu.

AF arrived for me and now CD4. Feel a little disheartened as our timing was good this cycle but I know it takes more than just timing and it’s out of our control! Will try and relax a bit more this month and I won’t test early.

How is everyone doing? Hope you’re all well and looking after yourselves. Sorry to hear about the BFNs, although it sounds like it is still fairly early days. Fingers crossed for a turnaround, or that next month is luckier.

As for me - well, I’m an idiot.

I bought 2 Clear Blue tests on Amazon to test yesterday (10dpo) and today (11dpo).

Tested yesterday evening - BFN
Tested this morning - BFN

Re-read the box this morning (perhaps in the hope that the result would change before my eyes) and realised - I did not buy the ultra early tests as I had thought. I had actually purchased rapid results regular tests instead. So basically, I am none the wiser.

I have, of course, convinced myself I have all of the early symptoms already.

I was really hoping to go into the weekend knowing the result, and being able to draw a line under this month and look ahead, but now I still have this 10% of hope I could be pregnant?

I’m not sure if I will test again on Sunday using an ultra early test or just wait until Wednesday when I’m due on.

But, what a waste of £10 and a lot of hope!

Springcloud26 · 06/10/2026 07:01

I tested earlier this morning at 12 DPO and BFN so I think I’m out. In fact, I think I’ve just noticed spotting. Feel disappointed but if it is period, it’s right on time so good news for my cycle getting back to normal and can try again soon.

OP posts:
Springcloud26 · 05/10/2026 15:58

I decided not to test this morning at 11 DPO, I will do tomorrow morning and if still BFN I think I’ll be out! No symptoms at all.

Hope everyone is okay!

GreenPickle · 05/10/2026 10:11

@Blueblies haha it's crazy how you just convince yourself everything else is wrong! I sort of asked myself during this TWW that if i wasnt ttc, would I have even noticed a certain feeling or twinge? helped me not overthink!

what dpo are you? im 11dpo today, didn't test but can feel cramps coming! period due end of the week so if it doesn't arrive by Friday, will test. Just want it to arrive now so I can move on to the next cycle!

We had sex everyday this month and have already said to my hubby that is not happening again šŸ˜‚

Blueblies · 05/10/2026 09:38

How's everyone doing? Sorry to see so many BFNs so far. I hope you're all doing OK. I also had another negative test this morning. I'm driving myself mad though as have been experiencing fatigue and this morning sensitivity when breastfeeding my 2 year old and a sudden unbearable hot flush! And now I've convinced myself that if I'm not pregnant I'm menopausal! šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

GreenPickle · 04/10/2026 12:07

@Springcloud26 Not long to wait for next cycle if that’s what it comes to then (but I hope not)!

im roughly the same although mine are now a bit more equally split between 28-32 days (has changed since having a little one!) I think this cycle will be 31 or 32 so I’m due either Thursday or Friday! I normally get spotting before so, if that doesn’t happen, I may test on Wednesday. My O day is guessed to be 25th.

i will be taking time away, probably until about 3 or 4dpo! Which will be end of Oct!

I’ll probably just wait now rather than test (unless I start spotting). I go into every cycle thinking my period will come by the end so it’s more of a surprised if I do get a BFP!

probably more upset at myself that I’m upset when it’s my first cycle for number 2! Will be buying some coq10 though!

@Springcloud26 big hugs! But yes, also love finding out new tidbits to help me for the next month. How long are your cycles usually?

@badtester you make a good point and that puts a lot into perspective. Have you / will you test today or holding out? Hope this cycle works for you, can’t imagine the financial burden! But I also know it will 100% be worth it!

@GreenPickle I would say the most consistent length over the last 12 months is 32 days, but I have had some last 35-37 days too. The only cycle I tracked ovulation I conceived so I don’t actually know how long it would have been. I waited to test 15 DPO and had a strong line.

Going by 32 days on this cycle I would expect AF Wednesday, 13 DPO.

Will you keep testing or wait?

I think I will also take a break from the boards if AF arrives, I have a couple of projects I need to complete by November so will try and get some headspace back. It has been so nice to have the support from everyone though and chat things through 😊

Eurgh sorry @GreenPickle@Springcloud26Hope you have something nice and distracting to do today?

I find it a bit mad sometimes that ā€œnormalā€ people can just carry on trying again the next month for free!! IVF does weird things to your sense of how babies are made. If this one doesn’t work out for you, hopefully next month is the one x

Thank you @badtester I’ve got some prep for work that I need to do for the week ahead so that will keep me busy, I’ve also booked to go swimming later!

When is your official test date at the clinic? I understand the wanting to protect your heart and mentally preparing, I also hadn’t thought about it from your perspective, thank you for sharing, it must be so much harder x

I know if AF does arrive I will feel upset but also the start of the next cycle does bring some fresh hope, and I hope my brain will shift quite quickly to looking forward.

Springcloud26 · 04/10/2026 07:11

Negative for me at 10 DPO - I’ll do one more at 12 DPO and then wait for AF to arrive. Premom says due Tuesday, Flo says Friday - I’m not sure the length of my luteal phase so at least if not successsful this cycle, I’ll have another piece of information!

OP posts:
GreenPickle · 04/10/2026 06:35

Negative on ultra early digital at 10dpo - I know it’s early but I feel like I would tell by now if I was preg! Looks like the easy @ home just gave horrible false positives / evaps!

my period is due Thursday or Friday so will be stocking up again! Will probably fly under the radar until I O again - around 3 weeks time!

really hope you get your positives! Please keep me updated!

This was first month for number 2 for me and I feel way more gutted than I thought I would! Got all my ovulation stuff in my Amazon basket - just waiting for prime day šŸ˜‚

badtester · 03/10/2026 22:29

Thanks @Springcloud26, really hope we’ve both got faint lines to take photos of tomorrow! We have a super busy day so not sure if we’ll get to testing, maybe in the evening. Honestly my mind is just moving on so quickly - I said something casual to my wife about only having to do two more progesterone injections (every three days, have to carry on for two more over the week before my official test day from the clinic). And she was like ā€œwell only if it hasn’t worked, there’s every chance I’m jabbing you for another 2 months!ā€ (If it works i have to keep them up until 12 weeks). My brain has just moved on from the idea it could have - I’m mentally clearing the old baby clothes out of the attic and putting them on Vinted already!

BFN again here, 5dp5dt. Feeling ok, I think I’m ready to come to terms with it all being over. Few more days to go.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow’s test, hope you are able to take your mind off it today šŸ¤ž

@Springcloud26 ooo do you have a picture?

tested this am!

the test from yesterday, i could see the line when it dried down.
a test this morning, not sure if i could see anything but not it's dried there is a line but not sure if it's just an indent as the line is thin. not sure if you'll be able to see as MN really squashes the quality! so i still think it's neg!

No pic, couldn’t really see anything - I will take one tomorrow if anything develops!

I still see the line on yours! Maybe tomorrow will be clearer as it will have had 48 hours?

Springcloud26 · 03/10/2026 07:57

@GreenPickle @Blueblies @badtester I tested this morning at 9DPO, it was negative although when I tilted it in a certain way to the light I thought I might have seen a hint of something that could develop into a vvvvvfl but likely just wishful thinking. Will test again tomorrow!

Did anyone else test again today?

@Springcloud26 i also looked at that leaflet and that's 25miu! so a bit higher than the others! but it's nice to just read it. the amount of times i would just sit and stare at it before šŸ˜‚

@badtester here's hoping! i might do a test tonight but not sure if i can be bothered to keep looking at it. although first pregnancy, my 8dpo was an obvious faint line!

this might be a naive question (so forgive me if it is!) but because you had two embryos, could that be a possibility of twins?

Yes it's definitely possible that both embryos could implant and get twins, but it's not a huge chance really - I've had lots of failures, so I'd be delighted with any embryo that was able to stick, one or two!
