Preseed/ConceivePlus

What are people's thoughts on Preseed/Conceive Plus? Has anyone used them, and if so
A) Is one better than the other
B) Did it work?!

We have been TTC for nine months and I am getting a bit bothered now. Haven't sought medical advice yet (thought I'd give it at least a year?) but have gone from just casually DtD to taking it more seriously and now all sorts of old wives tales as well.

I have rarely used lube in the past as I've never needed to and always found it yucky on the rare occasions it's been used (years ago). But on the other hand if it does actually work then clearly it's a good thing. Do you just put some on yourselves and get on with DtD? Sounds pretty clinical but needs must!

we used pre-seed. the first time (post miscarriage) i was tracking my cycle using a thermometer every morning and used pre-seed. got pregnant in the first month. second time I just used pre-seed and it took 2 months i think. If I can remember the woman has to almost inject it and leave it for a bit before the act rather than use as regular lube. some friends who had been trying for longer periods had some success on it too.

@Sanky I have no idea whether it 'worked' but I found conceive plus a nice lube to use when TTC our second. With our first we didn't use anything and got pregnant first cycle. It took three months with the second and I used conceive plus second and third cycle. No harm in giving a fertility lube a go - there are no special instructions with CP (as far as I remember) you just use it in whatever quantity you want. It is a bit more watery than viscous so isn't gross or anything in consistency and it felt a lot nicer than standard lubes. I didn't get any irritation from it or stinging it felt gentle. Only downside to using it was the cost, it's a bit on the pricey side, but some people swear it has really helped them and I can't see the harm in giving it a go :)

Thanks. Well we have gone out and bought some this morning. We'll have sex later and will use it. Let's see how it goes. I think I prefer the idea of using it internally rather than slathering it on like regular lube. And if it's icky then perhaps we will stop.

Hey OP, I have also been TTC 9 months (32F, 37M). I decided to give the conception gel a go for the first time this month so will keep you in the loop.

Currently 2dpo.

Thanks and good luck! We have used it a lot this week, so we'll see if it does the trick! I do find it slightly annoying and messy, but I've never really got on with lube. Still, if it helps then I have no complaints.

I used Concieve Plus with my 2nd and after 3 cycles I was pregnant but we also used Ubiquinal and High Vit D 5000IU and Vit C and Omega and Methafolate so not sure what helped.
We kept using it and have had 4 miscarriages but now pregnant again. I used the amall bottles where you insert into the vagina and squirt it close to the cervix.
No idea if it helps or not but felt we needed to "do something" we alreasy so the Sperm Meets Egg Programme and diet and exercise and reduced caffine etc etc etc.

Not sure that helped but I enjoyed using it and so did my partner.

I used pressed on cycle 3 of trying to conceive my second, and that was the month I got pregnant. Not sure whether it was that, or would’ve happened anyway!

Thanks, and that's good news. Obviously I hope it works for me too but if it does then, like you, I won't know that it was that for sure! We are doing various things now that could make the difference, and it just could be random luck as well. If only there was a surefire way!
