I couldn't see that anyone's started a thread for September yet. Seeing as it's tomorrow thought I'd start one now. Seems AF arrived for a few of us at the same time so looks like we'll be in sync over the coming months.
How is everyone doing?

Hahaha! Oh god, 1DPO has just made me laugh so much 😂

I put all my info from LH strips/premom/natural cycles into ChatGPT to track everything and I find it helps to keep to sane and tells me whats happening each day (potentially) post ovulation and when its realistic to test.

I get what you mean about wanting to know earlier though, otherwise its so easy to get your hopes up.

How long have you been trying for?

hahahah, ChatGPT has been my best mate as well! I've had a horrid head cold since 2dpo and i keep asking if it will affect anything 😂 probably bored with me now!

yeah, i find there's no right or wrong with it. i understand people not wanting to see the negative time and time again. when i got my faint line at 8dpo, i was editing the image and all sorts 😂 i turn into a different person! but good idea to ask what is happening each day - although he did encourage me to test at like 7dpo 😂

this is my first month for baby number 2, so very early stages! first baby took me around 2 or 3 cycles (I had an early loss the first cycle, that MC cycle was a write off as i dont think my body was ready and i had 2 LH surges, the second being CD30 🫠, I think i conceived the second cycle after though!)

I do exactly the same putting all my data into chat GPT and following my egg’s journey through each day! 😂 4 DPO today and will try and wait to test until 12 DPO, but I also have the cheap strips which I didn’t last time so may be tempted earlier!

I think when you want it so much its hard to think of anything else isn't it! I definitely went a bit mad with ovulating this month, didn't get a positive LH till CD22 which was so stressful but since then I've chilled out thank god.

I find waiting to ovulate more stressful then the TWW I think!

Sorry about your MC, I've had 3 and they are awful!

Got my fingers crossed for you for this cycle ❤

Don't tempt me with the cheap strips 😂

This is what ChatGPT gave me this morning :

"If fertilisation happened shortly after ovulation, it would now most likely be a tiny blastocyst — no longer a single egg, but a little ball of rapidly dividing cells. It will probably have finished its journey down the fallopian tube and be in your uterus now, either floating around looking for a good landing spot or beginning the very first stages of attaching to the lining."

One can only hope!!!

😂 Mine says:

The potential embryo is quietly developing, while your uterus is basically saying:
“I’m ready if you’re coming.” 🏠🌱

Fingers crossed!!

I’ve been quietly reading in the background for a few weeks, I got my first ever positive ovulation test today bang on CD 14 (does this mean I’m ovulating today?!) my cycles are all over the place recently and I’m actually having tests done to confirm low ovarian reserve so I’m not super hopeful

I find the wait to ovulation harder because you just don’t know when it will end.

how long have you been trying?

sorry about your MCs ❤️ horrible place to be when they happen!

really hoping this the month for both of us!

Its awful isn't it! I get weirdly addicted to testing as well.

We've been trying since Nov 25, got pregnant in the Jan, had a miscarriage in Feb which took 3 surgeries to clear, so been trying again since April, been a bit of a journey this time! Only started doing LH tests and getting obsessive back in July after my period was a month late.

I am very lucky because we have a gorgeous little girl already ❤

Oh gosh, I am so sorry that happened! Didn’t realise it could take more than 1 surgery to clear.

the LH tests are obsessive for sure - I still do one a day (mainly to make sure it doesn’t spike again!) but also I like the routine of it. I caught my pregnancy on them last time as they were getting darker at 9dpo!

also, a month late period?! That would be frustrating!

i know I’m only 1 month in but i am finding the whole thing harder this time because i know what’s at stake as i already have a little boy! obviously patience isn’t one of my strengths 🙃

Yeah it was strange, it was a blighted ovum, so there was no baby, just the sac and the pregnancy tissue was stuck to the top of my womb so they couldn't get it all out until they put a camera in to see what was going on.

I was SO tempted to carry on doing the ovulation tests once I hit my peak but I didn't want to get anymore obsessed! I have a friend who found out they were pregnant by ovulation testing as well!

Oh I never thought of it like that! Makes a lot of sense.

Bumblebeemee · 28/09/2026 14:38

I’m out for September, absolutely gutted but I suppose it’s good to have a proper reset after the miscarriage and now I’ll be sure on dates if/when it does happen.

I was really hoping for no more than 3 school years between kids and in our schools the eldest is July / youngest June so if we do get lucky it’ll be 4 school years now which feels like a huge gap. I’m feeling really deflated today about whether to even keep trying.

oh my, it's crazy what women go through! did you only find out at your 12 week scan?

Haha you're in the right there! im now obsessing as to why my LH is lingering between .4-.5 but it went to .25 today. Ultimately, it doesn't mean anything unless it's positive but still!

Here's hoping we get BFPs this weekend and they stick!

I'm sorry you've not had any luck this cycle. Please try not to put yourself under too much pressure RE age gaps.

If it helps, my brothers are 4 & 5 years older than me and I've always been really close to them both.

there's 4 years between me and my brother and we're very close! my partner is the middle and there's 18 months with the older and 2 years with the younger - they are fairly close(ish) but i do wonder if being all boys, it's just different!

I found out at a private scan at 8 weeks, I felt something was off as my symptoms were really strong to begin with then dropped off at about 5 weeks. I've honestly never felt so pregnant! It was such an odd experience. Also, the sac was the size it should be at around 11 weeks so I was showing quite a bit.

I would be the same, analysing every test! And yes, fingers crossed this is our month!

Welcome! Positive ovulation test predicts ovulation in the next 12-36 hours. So most apps will have you ovulating tomorrow. But definitely dtd today and tomorrow if you can!

Sorry to hear about the tests? Have you been trying for some time?

How is everyone doing? Haven't been checking the thread much as I don't want to get obsessed again like last month! Luckily we have been busy this last week so I have been distracted.

I'm currently 6DPO and planning to test on Saturday morning as I am going to a cider festival...

Saturday sounds a good day to test, hope you can stay distracted! It does make it go faster when not counting every single day, but it’s so hard not to!

I’m CD8, so not much going on. Hoping I ovulate around CD24, which is when my app is predicting, as DH is away the week before so it would be Sod’s Law that this is the cycle I ovulate early! Also, really trying to eat healthily and lose some weight this cycle as that’s all I can think of to do to help my chances! Currently at the top of a healthy BMI and thinking that being more mid-range would be beneficial?

Oh wow, I never knew that the sac could grow that big whilst nothing was in it! Really really sorry that happened.

one of my friends had an MMC around 16 or so weeks (don’t think she found out she was pregnant until quite late). Next pregnancy - twins!

not really the same but I knew something was off with my first pregnancy when my boobs stopped hurting. And then my successful pregnancy I was analysing my boobs every day, to the point of taking pictures and seeing if they got smaller 😂 pregnancy after loss is something else. I don’t think I relaxed until 20 weeks - cried before every scan and must have got about 4 or 5 private ones! Plus 2 early ones on the NHS!

Will deffo be getting an early ones- people that wait until 12 weeks are saints.

Do you normally ovulate late? I was CD22 this month but have been CD14 previously.

So I am the same, top of healthy range BMI and thinking of losing a few pounds, its been my partners birthday this weekend though so I have indulged more than normal! I suppose if it makes us feel like we are doing something to help then its worth it? Although, I got pregnant with my daughter when I was the heaviest weight I'd ever been!

It's really sad isn't it, pregnancy is never the same after having a miscarriage. I get SO anxious before scans and like you, I only relaxed once I hit 20 weeks!

DancingThroughLife02 · 28/09/2026 17:45

Hi @misslomi I’m so sorry to hear about your mc.

I’ve been also taking a break from the thread but came back a bit earlier than I normally do as I’m extra hopeful this month. I’m not sure why but it just feels like a good cycle to get pregnant 😂

Month 5 now but definitely didn’t feel this optimistic the last few months. I didn’t ovulation track this month but dtd every day there was fertile mucus and a few days after. I have a feeling I ovulated two days later than normal putting me anywhere between 4-7DPO now, but also thinking of testing Saturday as an early test.

Hope that this is our month!

@Selyak sorry to hear about your period but at least you know and can get on with a new cycle. Sometimes the waiting is the hardest part! Let me know if you try out OPKs this month ❤️

Thank you, it’s frustrating because it’s not fully started. I’m on day 3 of spotting. It’s like my body is struggling to get my period to start properly

ThereWereNoUsernamesLeft · 28/09/2026 21:50

BFN on sensitive tests for me at 10,11 and 12 dpo. Looks like cycle 13 is incoming. I have no idea how we got pregnant within 2 months and then nothing for another 10. We have a sperm anaylsis booked in for DH in a few weeks so hoping we can get some answers :(
