Hi all,

Can anyone advise on pre-natal vitamins, supplements. I know about folic and acid and vitamin D - hoping to start TTC baby no 2 in the next few months. First baby was not planned and I therefore hadn’t taken anything!

I’m hoping for advice on what might be helpful for both me and DH to take, but it’s a minefield when you start reading into it and I could be taking about 100 vitamins! I’ve seen people mention pregnacare but then others have said they’ve messed up their cycles. Also heard good things about COQ10 but is this essential?

thanks in advance!

I’m 39 TTC my first, I’m taking folic acid & vit D (combined), Omega 3 and Coq10 (as heard it can help with egg quality) - all from boots so 3 daily tablets. I wanted separate rather than a combined supplement, after having a longer cycle when I tried pregncare!

Thank you! Yes I’ve heard this a lot with pregnacare, and I do have regular cycles (albeit on the shorter side), but I don’t want to mess with something that isn’t broken!

I’ve done quite a bit of research into this in the last few days as have been struggling to conceive. I’ve gone with the Zita West vitafem multivitamin, which does have CoQ10 in it. I think they do also do a men’s vitamin range 😊

I was taking Proceive before and during TTC, as well as throughout pregnancy first time around. Now, I decided to try another brand and I’ve been taking Wild Nutrition.
