Slow and low hcg rise - any hope?!

Anyone got any success stories with a slow and low hcg rise?

im pretty certain on my dates as o have regular cycles and OPKs suggested I ovulated on day 14 exactly.

did a pregnancy test 12 DPO and was surprised and so happy to see a positive! My test lines have been sooo slow to darken since then and still says 1-2 weeks on digital.

at 13 DPO my hcg was 27.9 and 72h later it hadn’t yet doubled at just 49.

ill be 5w tomorrow and I’m concerned that my hcg levels appear to be so slow and low…. Is there any hope that this is still viable?

Glad you got one next week!! I can fully understand why they say 6weeks now..
My first, I had a scan at epu, and i was 5weeks and 1 day they just managed to find him but struggled with a heartbeat because basically a tint dot so it leaves them open for accusations and false informationfor parents, so bare with them so they get it right and see it as a positive to wait. By 6 weeks and 2 days when I went back, heartbeat and In The right place so very reassuring and I bled bright blood the day before!!

Little one is 4 now, ttc again :)

Thank you so worrying isn’t it. Are you ttc?

my GP tried to refer on Thursday as I had some one sided pain and spotting too, but epau said they wouldn’t see me until 6w. So I have a scan booked in for then, which is one week. Got seen by a gynae doctor in the mean time and he said basically said the same and said he wouldn’t do hcgs until they were worried about ectopic on uss at 6w….

I got my hcgs done privately, but can’t afford to keep that up 🤣

Thanks so much for your reply!

I got my bloods done and hcg was 27.9 then rose to 49 72h later. So didn’t double in 72h but did still rise…. Worried about how low my hcg is and how slowly it’s progressing, feel like it fits with chemical or ectopic more than a viable pregnancy. But it is reassuring to hear an outside perspective and see it as a positive and a rise and that’s all I know for now…..

thank you

I can see what you mean, I'd be worried sick too hun, but its darker each time so stay hope with that 💗

Is there any way you could get yourself seen to get booked in with epu? Memtion your concern with ectopic and thatll get you seen x

Its positive, it's darker each time showing a rise.

Hcg double every 48/72hrs
So 20 would be 40 in 2 days, 40 would be 80 etc. So that is completely normal considering how early.

For reassurance ask for bloods at gp x
