TTC August 2026

It’s such a ball ache, isn’t it?! I was pretty chilled last month, but I think I’m going to put a bit more effort in this cycle and might give SMEP a try. We’re averaging sex 3–4 days over my fertile window, so we’re definitely hitting the key days, but I figure it can’t hurt to be a bit more strategic.

What’s your situation? How long have you been trying, and is this your first? I’m really hoping to be pregnant before my 39th birthday. (in 4 months) 😅🤞

Hi, TTC for #3. Im on CD14 on cycle 1 and taken a lets see approach this month but already regretting that! In the TWW painful wait.

Hi @AndyBerrick84 Sorry to hear your period has arrived. It really is so disheartening. There are several of us on the thread who seem to be in it for the long haul! My plan/ hope was to be 8 months pregnant by now.
Hopefully this is our month! (Feels overdue if you ask me 😩!)

This is turning into such a long, drawn-out process, but I'm trying to tell myself that every cycle is one step closer. 🤞 Here's hoping this is our month.

I’d be confused by that too! You got a lovely clear peak on CD25 and I would definitely have assumed ovulation.

I’m not an expert but for me, if I fail to ovulate my body then takes another 2 weeks+ to try again! I’m not sure I’ve seen anyone try twice within a couple of days but I might be wrong here!

With any luck you did ovulate two days again, it’s just a small surge that will go back down this evening. But I would test again this afternoon/ evening to see what happens.

I reckon I’m cycle day 3 and my husband just asked if we could test yet 😂 nice he’s so excited tbh

Can I ask a quick question as I’m fairly new to OPKs and they are confusing me somewhat… according to my app it says CD25 was my peak. We managed to BD only on CD24 and 25 but then hubby went away for work. Today is CD27 and it looks like OPK is high again. Does that mean I’m gearing up to ovulate today/tomorrow instead? CM is not reliable as it’s so fluctuating through the day and I’m not doing BBTs atm. Thanks!

I’m trying to be optimistic, a bit of pinkish blood while wiping last night but nothing this morning.

Woke up with a bad headache and have been crampy for days now. I don’t normally spot before my period (or at least I haven’t for about 6 months) so I’m really clinging to the final hope that this could be IB but I know it’s more likely to just be AF starting.

I think that if there’s no more blood or a proper start by Friday evening/Saturday morning or even Sunday if I can hold out, I might do another test.

Yesterday was 14DPO but my luteal phase is always 16/17DPO so I’m really hoping I’m not out yet.

Hello! Please could I join? Cycle day 6 here and TTC baby #1. Taking a very relaxed approach at the moment as life is busy but a May baby would be amazing so secretly very hopeful this month.

Oh no!! That sounds awful!! Any chance you could escape to your parent’s house or something for a few days to let the reaction die down?
I think I’m 6 dpo. Monday would hopefully be 10 dpo so would normally test then, though always try (and fail) to hold out until 12 dpo so Wednesday 😂

Hey! Yes, and I’ve had a reaction to the dust/perished insulation wafting around everywhere and my scalp, neck, chest etc. is covered in itchy red bumps so I am on antihistamines. Feel a right drama queen 😆.

Hi again! Sorry to hear the building work is a struggle! Was it all the mess? The number of dusty concrete-stained boots coming in and out of my house drove me mad!

You are still very early, some people don’t even implant until 10 dpo and then HCG takes time to rise. Don’t count yourself out yet! I’ll have my fingers crossed for you 🤞

Does sound like a chemical, especially now you have bloody mucus. So sorry for you ❤️

Hi everyone, vanished off here for a few days as the building work and all the symptoms under the sun got too much!

I think I’m approximately 8-10dpo and of course I couldn’t resist a test yesterday and not even a squinter. I know it’s early as I’m not due on until early next week but I think I’m out. Bloody periods.

Have we got any BFP yet? Crossing fingers for all of us for this month or next!

Hi all, joining from July thread too. TTC #2 and on cycle 2 after having a chemical pregnancy last month. Think I am O day today having gotten a peak of 1.02 on Monday and 1.38 yesterday. Only managed to DTD those days and not today which isn’t ideal but life happens! Finding this all quite stressful and patience is not a virtue of mine so very glad to have found this community xx

I usually get ovulation pains so I had a pretty good idea of when I ovulate anyway, but for the months I’ve been testing I’ve done once a day from CD10 and as soon as it’s started to rise I’ve gone to twice a day, or even 3 (or 4 or 5!) when I’ve tried hard to catch my peak.

My surge seems to be over really quickly as the highest result I’ve had before this month was 0.98, I’ve added a photo of my current cycle. Think some of the random weaker results must’ve been diluted urine! I stop testing now as soon as it starts to come down to try and save strips, and if I’m still tracking next month I’ll probably not be as obsessive as I know once it rises past a certain point my peak will most likely happen within a few hours

Only tracked one cycle so far (I conceived, but had early MMC) - I did exactly the same, started around CD 10, one test a day around 11am ish and then as I got to CD 15/16 increased to 3 times, adding afternoon and evening. I got my peak CD21.

I’m glad it’s so important to stay positive throughout this.

Maybe it was chemical, it seems very unlikely to keep getting evaps within time frame.

TMI but just got bloody mucus when wiping which is two days early for me and I’m never usually early but might just be a weird cycle. I do feel like once AF shows it’s easier to just move on to think about the next cycle than think of all of the “what ifs”.

I test once a day until my cervical mucus looks more fertile and then twice a day! Normally at lunch time for the once and then add another test in the evening around 6.
Mostly test at those times as they are convenient for me. I think any time between 10am and 8pm is recommended though?

@DancingThroughLife02 That Boots test does look more positive than today’s one, I’m sorry. Perhaps a chemical? Or just very dodgy tests!!

Our bodies are so cruel too, giving us all these symptoms just for AF to arrive bang on time anyway! Hope the cold isnt too rotten!

Thanks for the good wishes. I’m feeling weirdly positive this month. Such a short cycle (for me!) has made me feel that I have properly ovulated and this must be it! It’s been 8 months, I’m overdue a positive 😬🤞

I think so yeah, I did want to wait until Saturday and test if AF didn’t appear but I’ve had a box of easy@homes and a couple of digital clear blues delivered today and they’re calling my name! I think I’ll try an easy@home in the morning
