So I'm pretty much put this month, giving up all hope its happening this month. I know August is still a week away but thought I'd start a thread for the August TTCers. How's everyone doing?

Negative test for me, 8/9dpo, still just the same shadow I’ve had the last couple of days which is clearly an indent. I know I’ve got a few days left but my temperature has also dropped a bit and I’m feeling a bit pms-y so I’d be surprised by a positive.

Sorry that the line seems to be an indent! How rubbish to get several in a row! What brand are you using? At 8/9 dpo you are still very early, I’ve still got my fingers crossed for you!

Well doctors was a waste of time. Had a different doctor this time and she said to wait 2 years age doesn't matter apparently, I'm getting conflicting information and don't know what to do.

Unfortunately I don’t think the nhs does testing like that anymore without being on a massive waitlist. You’ll probably just need to wait a few more weeks and it should start, otherwise try the nhs again but most likely be prepared to shell out for private tests if you really want them done within a year. The fertility wait lists are crazy.

What??? I’m sorry, this doctor sounds so bad?! She is directly contradicting what the first GP said? She can’t be serious that she expects you to wait 2 years before getting help?? I mean, at 38, you only need to try for 6 months to get help with no known issues, forget an absent cycle??

Maybe wait a week and try and get an appointment with the first doctor you saw? So sorry you had such a bad experience!

I don’t want to give false hope but two days ago so 9DPO I suddenly felt like I was going to come on my period then got that faint line today. Xx

hope you don’t mind me joining. We’re TTC baby number 3. I had a miscarriage in December at 6 weeks. I stupidly decided to take a test at midnight and now I cant sleep as I think there’s a pale line but worried it’s an indent as I’ve been stung with that before.

Doctors are calling this morning. No idea what to expect. The last time I had an appointment for possible infertility i was 23 and they just did blood tests and scans. Blood tests were normal and scan showed cysts. This time I'm 38 and in a slightly different situation. This time my period hasn't arrived after coming off the pill. Loads of people have said it could be months before it dose. Doctors suggested it should be a few weeks. Its been 6 weeks and nothing. No withdrawal bleed no period not even sure ive had a positive ovulation test. The premom app did show a peek but that was around 3 weeks ago. I hate not knowing.

Sorry to hear AF has arrived. The age gap thing really bothers me too. It’s just getting bigger and bigger! I wish I’d started trying earlier, even though there are very good reasons why I didn’t try for another 21 month gap. But now it’s 3 and a half years when I was aiming for 2 years 9 months and growing all the time 😩

Hope you have a lovely holiday! Where are you going? Holiday worked for someone on the previous thread! They went away after negative at 11 dpo and came back with a Pregnant 2-3 weeks! Really hope it happens for you too!

We’re just going to the peaks for 5 days as we did lots of big holidays on Mat leave and would like to do the same again if we have another but hopefully it will be nice. Sorry you’re struggling with the age gap too. It messes with my head and I feel like I’m grieving every month

I’m going to get some tests later and do one tomorrow morning, as I was still testing positive last week from MC want to get another baseline to see if it’s lighter /negative now. Then I’ll prob do another one this weekend to check as a comparison, if AF hasn’t arrived by then!

It’s been 24 days since my MC and potentially 8 DPO going off CM. Had some light cramping on Saturday with very small amount of CM (after nothing for 8 days) felt okay yesterday and today the light cramping is back and feel like AF could arrive. Keep checking, but only CM again. If it is AF, I hope it arrives soon so I know where I am!

when are you planning on testing? 🙂

Cycle day 13, done CB advance yesterday got flashing smiley. Today it says peak, yet my easy@home is showing as 0.22 on premom😵‍💫 Will do another easy@home this evening to see.

My premom app has been all over the place, had what looked like a near positive last night to go to a negative this morning

I am 4DPO today - will test next weekend too although it’s my son’s second birthday party so a part of me wants to know after that to not take anything away from his special day!

It's hard isn't it but thats nice you've got something to keep your mind busy. I would see it as the later you can test the moee accurate the result. Hope your son has a lovely birthday.

Thank you, not sure what to expect. Last time I had gone to the doctors about my fertility I had been trying over a year that was 14 15 years ago. This time its more because my periods havent returned. My boyfriend says if it turns out I can't have more kids we'll look into adopting
