afternoon all, just popping on quick while DH picks ds up from nursery- oh they've just pulled in the drive as i typed that!!

Think we're gonna be extra naughty and get a KFC bucket for tea.... dont know why but i have a big taste for it!!

I'm holding strong this month on the testing!! I'm holding out till friday, although i think it'll be another bfn, i suppose that aint too bad as we get another month of super GOFing to try and make another baby!! DS and DD keep saying mummy has a baby in her tummy- they are fascinated that their aunty has a baby in her tum and think everyone else has it though, so not an omen or anything!!

Right i'm off to get kids some juice and spend some time with them!!tata xxx (i'll be around tomorrow!!)

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 07/07/2008 14:14

Already have a girls name (only since I was about 11!!!) don't think I'll ever get to use it, this is a boy, and it will be the last, I think, no deffo the last one.... maybe I should get a fish or something and use the girls name for that?!!

I have to go now, t'is monday, need to ring my sister!

Will be back later I expect

calsworld · 07/07/2008 14:11

NG, Ned is a really cute name, but shouldn't you be looking at girls names or have you already got one in reserve?

Our girls name is, and always has been Emily, bit of a quandary about a middle name - i'd like to give my mum's name, but she HATES it with a passion to the extent that she'd be cross with me for using it...might just do it anyway if we have a girl!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 07/07/2008 13:54

Ooooooh, had a scout of the baby names threads earlier (like you do.....) what does everyone think of Ned? Teuch, does it really mean lout/donkey in Scotland? Is that really bad?

GruffaloSoldier · 07/07/2008 13:53

Yes I caved today lastbox- absolutely useless at waiting - but always have been!
Thanks for the nuchal link cals I was wondering about that too!
GYo - did you see my info re the hospitals?
I have indulged in a bag of jelly babies but now I don't want lunch
Tink - your scan pics are great - even though I am probably not pg it does make me even more excited!
I just want to know either way, so I can get on with next month cycle. Roll on test day!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 07/07/2008 13:50

PMSL, Cal how could have been bored? Making up words on your own is great fun

Tink great pics sweetie, so pleased everything is OK with the nuchal. Also don't get it here (or if you do, I don't know about it!)

Has been far less than hectotic here, have been asleep with DS2 since 11 this morning Now feel all groggy and yuk again though, I hate mornings when I'm pregnant why I thought it would be a good idea to get up twice in one day is beyond me....

calsworld · 07/07/2008 13:49

LBOT - I think I'd lose that particular talent contest, I'm also particularly inept at peeing continuously for 10 seconds so now have an old takeaway tub that I pee in and dip the stick instead!

lastboxoftampons · 07/07/2008 13:42

LOL about the target practice, Cal. This was my first month using OPK's and by the time I got my second positive I thought - Hey, I'm getting good at this peeing on a stick thing! What a talent!

calsworld · 07/07/2008 13:36

GYo - check out this link for details of the nuchal scan test.

Its not available in all areas, I'm in the midlands and don't have it here.

calsworld · 07/07/2008 13:32

LBOT, I know how you feel about testing, but look on the bright side - its all good target practise. I think you can get some from e-bay that may be cheaper if you can't resist POAS but are finding it an expensive 'habit'.

Hark at me, quite the little pusher!

Have just consumed a rather delumptious* apple and custard doughnut! MMMMMmmmmmmmmm

*Delumptious = delicious and scrumptious

lastboxoftampons · 07/07/2008 13:25

Hi - I think I've been hitherto absent, Cal Been wallowing in the frustration of the most confusing 2ww ever! I'll spare you all the details and just say I'm sure AF will be here tomorrow.

Great pics Tink
HeeBee great that you've been referred. It annoys me greatly that women don't automatically see an GYN here. Mine's sent me for a progesterone test, but suggested I go 7 days before expected AF - which for me is wrong, since I only have a 10 day LP! Anyway, good luck and let us know how you make out.

KK and Cal fingers crossed for you both. I also caved and took a test on Saturday - not even a hint of a line! It's like throwing £3 down the toilet everytime

GYo · 07/07/2008 13:19

Hi All- checking in at lunchtime. Have to be careful looking at the screen in the office- really don?t want them all to know that I?m TTC!

tink great scan pics, I cant believe how clear they are- you must be dead chuffed. What is Nuchal?

ses how is the new job?

Playing how are you feeling today? still excited?

Cals- you?ve had me sat at my desk giggling with your posts [grin}

Heebeejeebee · 07/07/2008 13:19

Tink - that's fantastic news!

Hopefully I shouldn't have to wait long for the appointment - last time I think the letter came through quickly and it was for a couple of months later. Am obv hoping for a repeat perf of getting a bfp beforehand!

Teuch - thanks for the LP advice - it used to be day 16/17 but since my m/c it has been more day 15 ish (I'd never thought of it as the constant, but now you mention it..) and my LP is 10 days, so hopefully shouldn't cause too many problems. This month I splashed out on Zita West ttc vits which contain massive amounts of everything (including vits B and E) so hopefully they will help..

Starshine - other than getting headlice on the day of my 8th birthday party, I don't have much experience - sorry!

Cal definitely an award for hitherto (henceforth I shall also attempt to use such an extensive vocabulary)

calsworld · 07/07/2008 12:53

Tink, that's great news too! Did your DH go with you?

tinkspregnantwithnumber2 · 07/07/2008 12:48

and nuchal result was low 1.5 so great 2

calsworld · 07/07/2008 12:45

)

I know, I know, LUNCH!

calsworld · 07/07/2008 12:44

(Do I also get an award for use of 'hitherto'?

calsworld · 07/07/2008 12:43

Am on for multi-continous-posting award today apparently .

No fear, I will shut up now and go and get something for lunch!

Queue lots of entertaining posting from wagoners hitherto absent......

Ohhh and have another very odd 'symptom', not quite dizziness but def. the occasional woozy spell.. they are very very brief...

calsworld · 07/07/2008 12:40

Oh, doh, typed and edited and forgot to re-paste, my sister also has an electric comb that she uses but I know nothing about it, she loves it for efficacy but says it does dry the hair a bit.

calsworld · 07/07/2008 12:37

Starshine, it sounds like you might be passing them between you all - have you all been treated on the same day?

Also, my sisters tip (primary school teacher) is to comb with lots of conditioner as it makes the hair slippery so they can't hold on with their legs whilst you're combing.

Apart from that, I have no experience, sorry!

calsworld · 07/07/2008 12:35

Teuch, queen of all things TTC....

If I Ov'd CD24 and GOF'd CD's 11, 13, 15, 17, 21 and 24 do I have a hope in hell and what are all the little swimmers up to? Assume those from 11, 13, 15 and 17 will have died?

Starshinetiger · 07/07/2008 12:33

Playing - OH MY GOD - can't believe that I missed the week you got your BFP - fantastic news, many congratulations. So funny that when I first joined the thread you back at beginning of year, you were so definitely waiting until Sept and then you fall first month!
Diege - meant to say, how come you weren't on the "You Would, Wouldn't You" thread re. Nadal yesterday?!
Cals and KK - fingers crossed for you. I know this week is going to drag for me - AF due Friday to Sunday, so testing Monday earliest - I know I already said this, but it is exciting isn't it!
Right, should be working.
Anyone with any tips on getting rid of headlice?! DS sent home again today for them - we combed on Saturday and treated with Full Marks and combing yesterday and he still has them today. I was also riddled on Saturday, so did same for me - using my Mum's excellent comb from 1981!!! and now am itching again, but have spent over an hour each night combing - am going to despair that both DS and I need to have heads shaved!

Teuch · 07/07/2008 12:14

Good thanks, Playing 15wks, or thereabouts, but still getting the odd flash of nausea

How are you feeling? Still in 'disbelief' mode or have you moved onto 'this is real!!!' yet?

Playingthe9monthwait · 07/07/2008 12:02

KK and Cal, my fingers are firmly crossed for you both!!!!

Hi Teuch, long time no speak, how are you doing?

Teuch · 07/07/2008 11:55

Heebee - your GP is acting on the (wrong) assumption that every woman has a 14 day luteal phase . Frustrating, especially if you have evidence to show that you ovulate later and therefore have a shorter LP.

FWIW, short LP is not usually a problem unless it is less than 10 days. You can take vitamin supplements (Vit E and evening primrose, I think) to help lengthen LP too, although I have no idea how effective this is.

Also, your LP should not change by more than a day from month to month, so it might be worthwhile trying to 'pin-down' ovulation so you can work out whether it is closer to CD17 (which would be the potentially more problematic time if your cycle remained 26days)

Tink - fab scan pictures
