Hello everyone!! Still getting used to the BFP (did another test this morning and was a V strong line hurrah!)

Have had lots of backache too lardybump... and think my DD will be early March... seems AGES!
Also had a very strong wave of nausea this afternoon...

lardybump · 27/06/2008 17:01

Thanks diege for helping me with my dates.... And for confirming that the pain is a symptom...

I am eating starburst by the packet at the moment because they help the sickness. I havent been sick at all but felt sick all day.....

LB, I work out your due date as 24th Feb?? (ok, not be but some internet due date calculator thing). Bad luck on the backache - I had exactly this with dd1 at about 6 weeks on left on top of bum/very low back. It was a touch of sciatica, but cleared up pretty quick

lardybump · 27/06/2008 16:46

I have a really bad back ache as well. It is really low down and to the left. It hurts like hell but I am taking comfort in the fact that it is a symptom.... (It is isnt it?))

Diege I was going from first day of last period as that is the dates that the dr and midwife go by....

Diege · 27/06/2008 16:43

Oh and congrats on the sickness LB ; I am v.jealous...I think... I also have another symptom - horrible metal mouth taste that is notably worse than previously - and more tired too..

Diege · 27/06/2008 16:41

LB, sounds about right to me dates-wise. I was 7 weeks today, and LMP was 8th May (29 day cycle). Are you going by ovulation or LMP?
POP, the hair colour thing is controversial but there's no scientific evidence to prove that hair colouring is harmful in pregnancy. Some still advise caution for first 12 weeks (ie, your hairdresser) though my GP and midwife say it's OK to colour from BFP to labour. So I have . LOL at picking nose after acrylics. I had them for 5 years and remember the terrible nosebleed I had with the first nose pick ...and the best back scratch ever!

tinkisexcited · 27/06/2008 16:37

yah 4 symptom lb

lardybump · 27/06/2008 16:34

Congratulations Auntie yay we have another one.

Ladies I work out I am going to be 6 weeks this coming monday but I am sure that diege and sorky were way in front of me so can you check for me.

My first day of last period was the 20th May and my cycles vary between 26 and 29 days......

Ses15 · 27/06/2008 16:26

poor sorky has awful sickneess she popped on briefly and went again
hi diege

pregnantpopcornprincess · 27/06/2008 16:16

Congrats Aunty. I'm sure everything will be fine. I do now how you feel though. I'm checking my knickers every half hour

NJ welcome back - did you have a good time? Can you tell me more about your heart beat monitor. I know that I will have trouble trying to work out which heartbeat is which but to hear something will be reassuring. DH and I are still in shock.

My hairdresser came round last night and is adamant that she won't do my roots until I'm past my 12 week scan so I'm currently walking around with shocking roots and last night I took off my acrylic nails (knowing there is no evidence to support that they are bad) - feels very odd, even more so when picking my nose

Ses15 · 27/06/2008 16:14

Sorry, Diege - really don't get the Nadal thing!

But as for those 15 yrs younger than us, I guess we're just appreciating their youth and looks. I have 2 friends married to guys 10 yrs older than them so what does age matter???! Only 18 months between me and DH though (he's older!)

Diege · 27/06/2008 16:09

Hi Nat! How was the holiday? Do you feel like you need another one?.
aunty had a BFP this morning (thread aunty, not mine!)Pop is having twins as you picked up . Wow, can't believe you're nearly in the 2nd semester .
Kayz, fingers crossed you have an easy time of it tonight, and that you have a good sleep. Just think of sinking into those pillows..
Have to start getting dd2 ready now for the school party...nails, make up (well, kids' lip gloss)the lot!
BTW SES, Nadal is 15 years younger than me too - are we pervs???

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 27/06/2008 16:03

Hi Ses thanks How are things with you now? I have so much to catch up on!

Yep 12 weeks tomorrow Tink Can easily pick up the heartbeat now, which is really reassuring!

DH is doing my favourite (home cooked) meal for dinner, such a cheap easy meal, it's only like a sausage risotto, but it is beautiful

How is the sickness fairing for everyone?

When is the next testing bananza?

And most importantly, have I missed any BFP's?

tinkisexcited · 27/06/2008 15:48

hi nat you must be 12wks now i am 11 wks tom time is flying

Ses15 · 27/06/2008 15:41

Hello!!

Kay - sorry you're not feeling so great. Hope you manage to stay awake at work and that you get a better night's sleep tonight

NJ - Glad to see you back. Hope you had a good time away and enjoy your wkend

I'm having a better day today. Sitting watching the tennis at the moment. Was horrified at how many of you swoon over Nadal ! Good tennis player but not really my cup of tea! I thought Chris Eaton was rather yummy though (not sure if I'm allowed to say that as thinking about it he's 15yrs younger than me! Scary!!)

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 27/06/2008 14:01

Helloooooooooooooooooooooo?????????

Is there anybody there???????????

Any news????? Have seen Pops!!!! and big wow!!! Huge congratulations How exciting?

How is everyone?

We are back, obviously!! But got big weekend planned, so probably won't be 'back' properly till Monday.

Not sure I could have fitted anymore excalmation marks in this post, or question marks.... Shall I try?????!!!!!!

kayzisexpecting · 27/06/2008 13:02

I feel really awful today. I didn't sleep properly last night, I think its the start of about 24 weeks of broken sleep.

I'm at work tonight as I swapped shifts with someone and I really do think I'll be falling asleep behind the deli.

tinkisexcited · 27/06/2008 12:25

have decided to buy angel doppler from amazon to hear babys heartbeat next month

glaskham · 27/06/2008 11:15

right off to put the washing away and put another load on (ds took his nappy off and sat on his bed so got to wash his sheets for the 3rd time this week!!!) [grrrrr emotion]

Will probs be around this afternoon... have a nice afternoon all of you!!

glaskham · 27/06/2008 11:10

Yeah kooky, your right there- i'm reading way into things already.... i think because i didn't concieve as a surrogate that really means this will be the 3rd month in a row that i'd not have concieved if we dont get a bfp this time.... and i know thats not long at all in comparison, but not being used to waiting for a bfp just sends a bit of worry over us... we're a bit more relaxed this month than last month, but are talking about things we could do to maximise our chances!!

glaskham · 27/06/2008 11:04

ok Diege, thanks.... kinda put my mind at rest... i'm very lucky that when i normally OV i am very up for a GOF morning noon and night... shame DH works really!! but most times in the month its just every other night or something... well less about ym sex life!!

My baby rabbit is doing very well, he comes in twice a day for cuddles and a run around the living room, would take him out in the garden but the wind blew a couple of fence panels down and waiting till its nice to put them back... dont wanna loose him in the neighbours garden of nettles!! He's fab with the kids!! and just stunning to look at!!

Anyone got plans for the weekend? DH is working so not a lot going on here, but he's off tuesday & wednesday, and we're hoping to go to see 'wanted' at the pics on weds afternoon. I really wanted my sister to come and stay the night so we could go this evening but she said no
