TTC on Clomid anyone?

BognorRegenia · 10/06/2026 12:22

We have started Clomid this month due to secondary infertility. I've had all the side effects (hot flushes, anxiety, cramps, bloating, fatigue) and am happy to finally be on 1dpo!

I'm putting a lot of hope into this cycle so I'm nervous I'm going to be very left down if/when AF arrives in a couple of weeks. :/

Anyone else in a similar boat?

That's interesting @BognorRegenia . I had wondered if clomid could affect timing of ovulation. I'm only on my first clomid cycle and no change to timing (cd 20) but will see if its any different next time.

Fingers crossed it's a good thing!

Roro27 · 02/08/2026 20:32

I ovulate earlier on letrozole. Went in for follicle scan last Thursday (cd9) and had a mature follicle 20mm in size so triggered on Saturday morning. Ovulated today cd11 when usually ovulate cd14 without medication x

BognorRegenia · 02/08/2026 21:38

Oh interesting @Roro27. I am quite jealous of your scan and trigger. I'm a scientist at heart so would love to be doing this more precisely rather than the "going in blind" approach I'm taking.

@JigglemonsterThat's one heck of a wait! I'm moody and impatient on the months I have to wait to ovulate on day 15.

I must admit it takes the stress away from having to guess all the time, I also hate the lh strips! Without going into too much details didn’t BD as much as I’d hoped for, so worried we may have missed peak x

MultilingualMummy · 03/08/2026 09:36

I finally got my peak yesterday (on cycle day 15) and it was the darkest ovulation test I've had in a while. Hopefully today is ovulation day!

BognorRegenia · 03/08/2026 22:13

That's frustrating @Roro27but you never know. I've got friends who DTD once in the month and fell pregnant!

@MultilingualMummyThat is exciting. I keep missing my peak and getting results of like 0.8 or 0.9. I'd love to see a really dark one. I'm definitely ovulating today though as I've had really intense cramps and bloating.

If this month doesn't work I think I'll take a few months off. I'm really over it all now. Fed up of taking the meds, having the side effects, feeling hormonal/crappy.

I've only got 1 month of the Clomid left anyway, so not sure what next steps would be.

@BognorRegenia it's so hard isn't it, but this could be the month! I really feel for you, it's so disappointing when it doesn't happen.

I didn't have it with my first because he was a surprise but with #2 I was shocked at how all- consuming trying for a baby was, I couldn't think of much else. The TWW was the hardest. I'm trying not to get sucked in again but when you really want something to happen it's impossible to not get caught up.

Roro27 · 05/08/2026 22:03

Hows everyone getting on? Currently 3dpo and more impatient than ever!!!

Jigglemonster · 06/08/2026 12:08

I'm 7dpo @Roro27 so a few days till I can test but not feeling as hopeful as I did last month. No idea why though. We dtd every other day etc (planned to do SMEP but couldn't) so no actual reason but I don't feel like anything is happening- which I know is mad and I should be manifesting 😂

This time last month I was already testing because I was sure it was the month!

Pinkponyclub26 · 09/08/2026 11:10

I’m back 1dpo on clomid 50mg
3rd cycle but first after a break which ended up being 2 rogue cycles which was one at 16 days and the other at 35 days so I think it maybe messed my hormones up a bit!
I ovulated on day 14 this cycle which is great for me as I’m usually day 11
🤞🏻🤞🏻 for us all
I’ve also stocked up on thrush treatments as that was the main side effect I got the last 2 cycles taking it

BognorRegenia · 09/08/2026 13:33

Wishing you luck @Pinkponyclub26 !

I know it shouldn't really matter what day you Ovulate on, but I'm always pleased when it is day 14, as that just seems "right" to me Blush

I'm about 6dpo, so right around that time where I start imagining symptoms ,obsessing over every little twinge, and telling myself NOT TO TEST !

OP posts:
Jigglemonster · 09/08/2026 14:04

Oh didn't realise that was a symptom @Pinkponyclub26 - I'm on my first clomid cycle so not noticed anything yet.

I feel your pain @BognorRegenia - so hard not to test. Im 10dpo, tested yesterday- BFN, persuaded myself that it was too early then have taken 3 tests today (all negative, one with an indent line). This process genuinely makes me obsessed! I'm sure I'll go through another half dozen this cycle before I accept that I'm out!

BognorRegenia · 09/08/2026 17:17

Ooh @Jigglemonster Feel free to upload the indent line one and we can all have a peek. It may be the start of something! With my first pregnancy, I only had a faint shadow on a FRER 10dpo- DH couldn't even see it!

OP posts:
Jigglemonster · 09/08/2026 17:32

Haha that would be mine too @BognorRegenia I haven't said anything to DH. It's weird isn't it how much of the process is solely with the woman? I also know that he's more pragmatic and would just tell me it's negative and to see if I get AF which isn't the response I'm looking for 😂

Not sure if they're even there but swear I see indents in both the easy at homes but the CB is very negative.

I also did a third easy at home with just water to test whether there was an indent but nothing came up. Clearly the behaviour of a desperate woman!

@JigglemonsterI absolutely see lines!!! Fingers crossed they're even more obvious in the morning. Exciting!!

OP posts:
Jigglemonster · 10/08/2026 08:58

Unfortunately seems like a batch issue. Still getting faint lines on easy@home but negatives on FRER, CB and one step.

I had similar with the one step last month which got my hopes up a bit, then I read that they weren't that reliable, so swapped to easy at home and seems to be the same again! I know why they say not to test too early now but it's too tempting!

I'm expecting AF tomorrow, some spotting so hopefully will be more successful on my 2nd clomid month!

BognorRegenia · 10/08/2026 17:40

Oh, sorry @Jigglemonster Those are some nasty indents if they're not real lines :(

OP posts:
Jigglemonster · 10/08/2026 19:35

Thanks @BognorRegenia , I feel like I should step away from the sticks but have done more and gotten similarly faint lines, a super faint line on an ovum test and another negative frer so planning to test again with FMU tomorrow if AF hasn't arrived and hope that I'm a day or two behind where I think I am in terms of dpo.

Hope you're managing the TWWvok, it always feels so long!

BognorRegenia · 11/08/2026 13:20

That's quite hopeful @Jigglemonster

I've tested already at 8dpo. Of course, nothing there. I'm feeling a little optimistic though as I have similar symptoms to my chemical last month (no typical AF cramps, tender boobs, constipated).

OP posts:
Jigglemonster · 11/08/2026 20:29

Ah it's impossible not to test though isn't it @BognorRegenia . Really good sign that you have the same symptoms. Also it seems common for people to conceive just after a chemical so fingers crossed this is your month!

Roro27 · 11/08/2026 21:00

I also tested today 9dpo and BFN 😢 not feeling at all hopeful this month

BognorRegenia · Yesterday 08:34

Another 9dpo negative here 😒 And I woke up CERTAIN I'd see a line as I was sweating and nauseous. I've calculated that I've had more than 30 unsuccessful 2 week waits and they never get easier. Feeling deflated, hope you guys are keeping chins up. Hopefully the positves start rolling in soon x

OP posts:
Jigglemonster · Yesterday 08:44

Ah I'm sorry @BognorRegenia and @Roro27 . Hopefully you're both just too early.

Negatives for me and 13dpo now so just waiting for AF now. From next month I'm going to ration the tests and stick to frer only I think.

BognorRegenia · Today 17:13

More BFNs over here. I am gutted, but it also feels familiar...

My plan is to stop clomid and try naturally as it has now been 3 months with no success... perhaps cleaning up my diet could make a difference. I'm a "healthy" bmi but a total sugar addict so... we shall see :(
