Anyone else in the middle of TTC baby number 2? It can be lonely at times so thought I would start a thread ❤️

Hey hope you don’t mind if I join too! TTC baby no.2 - I already have a 4 year old and she was a lovely surprise. Been trying since November and have had 2 chemicals which has been tough. Trying to just ‘relax’ but it’s really hard! Best wishes to everyone on here and really hope we all get there soon, it’s so nice to find a support group as this can feel really lonely sometimes! xx

hey,

so sorry you’ve experienced chemical pregnancies:( I’ve go everything crossed for you!! I completely agree with you on that it can be extremely lonely especially when you see everyone else just ‘fall’ pregnant without really trying! It gets to the point where you think it’s just you going through it at the time! We will get there tho. Xx

I hope so 🤞🏻 I didn’t have a cycle Feb either but putting that more down to a stressful month I had.

how you getting on? Also what tests do you buy, I don’t want to keep buying clear blue everytime they are not cheap xx

On test brands - I’ve been using the easy@home ovulation and hcg tests. Super cheap so I’ve not felt (as) bad for testing a few times per cycle

Can I join too! Currently TTC number two- I have a 5 year old so would love to have a sibling for him before he turns 7. I’m also 39, and my son took nearly a year to conceive after an early mc so I am not looking forward to the process. Currently on CD2 of cycle 2, so back to square one this month!

Hey!!

sending you lots of baby dust! I hope it doesn’t take as long this time for you guys❤️

Hi everyone, joining this thread as DH and I are currently TTC number 2. I have one DS who is 3 (4 in July). I’m currently on cycle number 3 (CD11). Conceived DS on cycle 1 so going through multiple cycles is new to me! Sending baby dust to everyone ✨

@chelseaaaaaxxxx hi!

I’m only 35, so I was surprised to read that it is possible to be heading into perimenopause at this stage! My cycles have always been like clockwork every 28 days, and now they range anywhere from 22-32 days. I also have like 2/3 days of spotting before I start my period, which I’ve never experienced before. Google/older mum friends suggest perimenopause, so I am a bit worried going into TTC this time. But won’t know for certain until we try!

Could you get in contact with with a doctor? Like you said you are only young still and I do think Google does like to scare a lot of people with what it comes up with x

i didn’t have many obvious cravings but definitely favoured certain foods. Hope you get the pulling feeling soon!!

She was due 23 June but I had her a bit earlier. I love this stage but also find it challenging 😂 she can be the best company but the tantrums are next level!! How about you?

i completely get you on the tantrums they are hitting the ‘terrible twos’🤣🫣and it’s next level isn’t it 🤣 my little girl was born 28th June so not far after you, really hope you get the news you want soon xx.

Ooo I see what you mean now! That doesn’t very nice tbh but then you go off things don’t you when you are pregnant! What did you use to crave?

it’s really hard to explain it didn’t feel like period pains it was like in my hips a bit odd I know but never felt it before so I hope I get it again so it gives me a bit of hope 😂

awwwww do you what date were they due? my little girl is going to be 2 in June too. How are you finding this stage!, I completely understand what you mean with the age gap but I’ve always wanted them kinda close in age so they can play each other xx

@chelseaaaaaxxxx thank you!! It really does, you don’t realise how quickly life goes until you have children!
on average they’re 32 days. Last cycle it was 28 days but they’re just getting back to normal after my chemical in November.
what about yours? How are you finding ttc for 2nd baby? If I think about having a second baby too much I get anxiety, despite wanting them so badly. I think it’s because we have a routine and it’s just the three of us, having to adjust scares me so much and changing my life yet again with work and finances and routine

Oh I am sorry you experienced a chemical pregnancy 😣 that must have been so hard:/ hoping it all plans out well for you.🤞🏻
my periods are normally 32-33 days but I had some stressful news in feb so think I missed my period that month so they seem to be all over the place.🫣

trying for baby 2 is a abit stressful:( I am finding I need to chill out abit🤣 I fell pregnant pretty quickly with my daughter and we are now going into our 4 month TTC ( which I know isn’t long at all) ideally would love it to just happen now like most of your girls but you can’t rush these things can you.

I understand why you are like that, it’s been just the three of you for a few years and it will take a lot of adjusting! How many children would you ideally like? Xx

Hi all, joining this thread as will be TTC baby no.2 in my next cycle, my son is 3.5 and was conceived first time trying, I’m feeling a bit apprehensive about how long it may take this time as my cycles are doing weird things lately, which are making me wonder if I’m starting perimenopause. Wishing you all lots of luck! 👶🏻

Yes let’s hope everyone on this thread has some good news soon!! :)

so for me it was like an off taste - not metallic but like I needed to brush my teeth! Interesting re the feeling you had - for me that signals I’m out but I always wonder if it feels different to period pains!

Baby #1 is 2 in June! I say baby but really a toddler now 😭 you have a 2 year old too I believe? I was so unsure what to do about age gap! I’ve no idea what is best but everyone I know seems to just say whatever age gap you end up with just works somehow so not to stress about it x

I couldn’t imagine how many tests you went through;( I really wish it was so much easier to fall pregnant haha! Keeping track of ovulations ect puts stress on it as well!

I am really hopeful that this is your month too🥹 and it doesn’t take anywhere near as long as your first 😣

aww did you so many people say about having the metal taste in their mouths but I had pulling/ stretching pains which made me test!!

how old is your baby again? Xx

Yeah I’m doing alright. AF has stopped. I’m torn between ordering ovulation tests or just taking it easy and trying to stay relaxed?!

Got everything crossed for you! I try not to test early too as can’t stand the negative tests. Keep me updated on how it goes! Any symptoms? Xx

It’s SOOOO hard to stay relaxed tho isn’t it and that won’t help either 🙈 what brand of ovulation tests do you use?

I am really hopeful for you as well🤞🏻

not too many symptoms I have some mild cramps but I don’t know if that’s me overthinking it?! Or me about to come on my period 😣 what about you? Xx

Yes similar here - I usually wait til 12 dpo to test or sometimes not at all depending on how I’m feeling. I then have a couple of days to feel sad but then day 1 of my period isn’t so bad as I see it as the start of another try :)

Aw that’s lovely that it was your first ever test you took! That must have been so amazing! I lost count of mine haha!

Hopefully it’s your month! 🤞 did you have any pre test pregnancy symptoms last time? I had a weird taste in my mouth on the Wednesday (which I think was about 10/11 dpo) and tested on the Friday and got a faint but obvious line. So now means I’m waiting to see if I get that weird taste each month even though I know you can have completely different symptoms for different pregnancies.

Hi ladies!
mom trying for baby number 2. Have a 5 year old son (on Tuesday - can’t believe it) and in the 7th or 8th cycle of trying. It’s exhausting! Son was a happy surprise but fell pregnant when on the mini pill. First time actively trying for a baby and I just dread around ovulation every month because I just don’t have it in me to keep doing it to be disappointed at the end of the 2 weeks. Currently 1dpo today, dtd 4 out of 5 times over my fertile window including day before my peak and ovulation day so fingers crossed
