Can you conceive while partner is taking testosterone or anabolic steroids?

Can anyone help clear this up between me and my partner please…

Has anyone managed to get pregnant whilst their partner was taking testosterone and/or steroids?

He claims it’s all a myth that they make men infertile but I’m reading that taking either synthetic testosterone or steroids are literally a male contraceptive!

What's the point of women's opinions if you know the science and he won't listen?

I'd leave him if you want kids. It might not happen due to his drug use and chances are gym will be prioritised over them, seeing as he prioritises it over his own health.

I already have children thanks having no more and he’s a great dad to his daughter and his gym going doesn’t affect our relationship at all. I go with him sometimes. Just because he takes them doesn’t mean he is some beef neck who is obsessed by the gym, he is not the stereotype you are thinking of, many men aren’t who take them sensibly and aren’t looking to be a body builder.

Yes you can still get pregnant
these 2 products lowers sperm production so obviously the actual change of you getting pregnant is significantly lower

one of the side effects is infertility but again that’s a possible side effect so it would be 50/50

Ask a gym forum. But what’s the point. If as you say, millions of people are using it then it is inevitable you will find some to tell you “Yes, I got pregnant”.

So what? How does some rando on an anonymous forum help you in your situation. Bodies are different.

It isnt good for sperm quality at all. It can interfere with ttc if thats something you want to do in the future. It can also have effects on the size of the sacks and can shrink them with long term use which again can have issues with the quality of sperm or ejaculations.

I’m not asking for people’s opinions on it I’m asking a simple question, has anyone on here got pregnant to someone while their partner was taking them? That’s it.

Sorry I should have said we’re not trying to get pregnant. I’m just trying to inform him that it can make him infertile.

No issues with roid rage he takes low doses and cycles correctly, been together 5 years and no anger issues what so ever.

I knew people who took them and they had a nasty streak. I could tell when they were on and off them by their personality.
