TTC baby number 2

Here we go again, husband and I are trying for baby number 2. First time around it took us 9 months which in the grand scheme of things isn’t that long but it was a hellish 9 months of heartache. I know people try for a lot longer, years even or have to go down the IVF route but we as a couple found it really hard. Second month trying and I honestly don’t know if I can go through this again, we are so so blessed with a beautiful child already but I am longing for a second child. This month I experienced a symptom that I had when I was pregnant first time round and convinced myself it was happening again but quicker for us. I absolutely love being pregnant and being a mum but TTC is not for the weak. Took a test today and it was negative (not due on for another 6 days) and I’m so disheartened that it will take just as long again and month after month the disappointment takes its toll

First time round, I started a feed and found it so helpful, I even went back to share our positive news to help others in the same boat so hoping someone can share their experiences on baby number 2 conception
thanks for reading :)

Me too, I’ve really tried not to symptom spot as much this month because realistically I know most symptoms can just be pms anyway. The month we conceived with our first I was more relaxed too…however I think it’s true that rising progesterone calms you down and I remember feeling strangely calm, and didn’t even feel the need to do an early test! Sending lots of baby dust your way too 🥰

That’s the worst part the PMS symptoms are the same and it feels like your losing the plot at times but I guess what we can take from all of this is are body is able so it’s just a waiting game now! As unbearable as it is

Trying for baby number 2.
2 months trying to conceive properly but have been winging it for a few months prior.

it took me 5 months the last time and I fell pregnant the month my husband travelled and we only had sex once that month lol

I’m 5/6/7dpo not too sure as I don’t use ovulation tests as they stress me out.

I have cried so much already while trying…. I hate this!

I think it’s hard as well because you know your body is able, first time round my biggest concern was actually being able to have a baby and now it’s being able to have another! It’s such a hard experience TTC number 2 is equally as hard. Hope it happens for us all soon, I tested at 8 DPO and cried when it was negative despite knowing it’s too easy to test. It really messes with your head but the end result is more than worth it! Sending lots of strength and positivity your way

It’s insane isn’t how had it actually is in reality to what you think when you just start the whole journey. I think it’s harder now for the second because you know what’s what this time around! This month I’ve really tried not to symptom spot but it’s harder than you think. The month we conceived last time round we actually were at the stage of giving up and it happened so not being obsessed and more relaxed about it does help but easier said than done. Sending lots of baby dust to you 💕

Hello! We are also trying for baby number 2, and are on month 4 of trying. I’m 9 dpo at the moment but haven’t taken a test yet. I feel bad thinking that this feels like it’s taking too long, as like you say some people try for a very long time to conceive. Every month I tell myself I won’t symptom spot, but of course every month I symptom spot 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’ve convinced myself several times over the last few months that I must be pregnant for one reason or another. I thought I’d be more relaxed trying for the next but as the months go on I do start to worry a bit. It took us 3 months with our first and to be honest I almost thought it would be quicker this time and that my body would just know what to do. Apparently not! I also love being a mum and being pregnant but do find ttc very consuming - I envy people who are able to just be relaxed about it 😬
