TTC 2026!

EmCha · 27/12/2025 10:58

Hi everyone, I created the TTC 2025 thread but as we are heading into a new year, it only seems right to start a new thread. Anyone here going to be TTC in 2026? I started my journey earlier this year and after 9 months/cycles trying, I’m yet to see a positive test. Finding it difficult not to lose hope but hopefully 2026 will be our year. Would love to connect with others who are trying to conceive. It’s a tough journey but it helps to have a supportive group of women to chat to! ❤️ Good luck everyone, baby dust for 2026!

Anyone else going to be testing next weekend? I always find the countdown excruciating. Have tests in the bathroom but not daring to use them yet as I find bfn harder than arrival of AF

GreenApple121 · 15/01/2026 17:18

Hi ladies
@Tes004 Keeping fingers crossed for you! Keep us posted. Everything is so tiny at this stage might need a bit more time to get picked up in measurements etc?

@EmCha That’s a great result and such a relief isn’t it! I had mine done last month too for piece of mind.

my period is due tomorrow so gonna see how I get on. Not tested since 9DPO which was negative, just going to see if period arrives. It has been such a busy week at work that it’s kept me (a bit) distracted!

hopeful4us · 15/01/2026 13:56

@EmCha yay that sounds really positive. Keeping fingers crossed for you x

EmCha · 15/01/2026 13:20

Just got my progesterone results. Anything over 4 confirms ovulation but ideally it needs to be over 30 to sustain a pregnancy. I was hoping for anything over 30 and I’m thrilled that my result was 43! Explains my really sore boobs 🤣 So now I just have to hope and pray that I did conceive and the little one will implant 🤞🏼

Fingers crossed @Tes004, wishing you all of the baby dust. ❤️ Do you have anything to distract you over the next two weeks?

Negative test at 12dpo yesterday, so looking like I'm out for this month! Not surprised given how little we made time baby making activities. Priority for Feb is relationship maintenance, and not putting too much pressure on TTC. Hoping to snag a babysitter for our first breakaway since becoming parents 4 years ago!

I'm also assuming I'm out this month for this reason. So tricky to find/make the time!! Nap time is when jobs get done usually and I'm often ready for bed not long after DD is asleep. Hope you get that precious 1 on 1 time

hello ladies - just thought I would update you all. I went for my first scan today and expected to see fetalpole etc but saw sac yolk sac and measured 5 week 2 days. They wasn’t concerned and said it looks like I ovulated slightly later but also said there is a 2nd sac but can not make out a yolk sac atm and I need to return in 2 weeks to see if it’s a 2nd pregnancy or a bleed .. I don’t understand the timing as I got a positive hpt on the 29/12 - this is going to be a long 2 week wait

Fingers crossed for you x

Hi everyone, I’ve just come across this group. I’m TTC baby 2 at 37. First was at 29 so I’m a little anxious. (It’s taken me 7 years to convince my husband!) 😂Hope 2026 is the year for everyone in this group. I find it takes my mind off the waiting when I’m reading everyone else’s updates! I’m only CD 2 today but am already starting to obsess 🙈 Good luck everyone xx

Hi ladies. TTC baby number 2. I haven no patience at all! Not even reached ovulation yet for this month and I’m getting irritated 😂 my lh levels are always really low around 0.15-0.2 even right up until 24 hours to ovulation. Does everyone else’s do that too?

Yes! My tests suddenly shoot up haha. At 13dpo they were 0.15 and 0.18 then the following day I got 1.03 then my peak of 1.80 a few hours later and then that evening it started dropping to 1.18. The next day (ovulation day) they were down to 0.78 and 0.13!

I'm also 5dpo. I hope you will not need these tests for your partner and with baby belly by then xx

Thank you! I really hope so. 🥺 Sending lots of baby dust to you ✨

Hi everyone hope you’re all doing well! I’m 5dpo and praying I have a little blastocyst forming! Just wanted to air my frustration on something though! My partner got referred for a semen analysis and he just called the hospital to book it and it won’t be until April! There was me thinking he’d be going in this week. So disappointed but also hoping we can cancel it as may be pregnant by then.

So my advice for anyone over 6 months TTC is to book it asap as may well take a good few months for an appointment.

Edited

Hi all, been TTC following a MMC in May 2025, also another in November (with pretty horrific treatment and recovery). I had a chemical in December and think I’ve got a faint positive today at 10DPO. Slight issue…I’m due bloods next week for a referral to the recurrent miscarriage clinic, my review then isn’t until March. So unsure what to do

Call early pregnancy unit and explain your situation they should start you on progesterone after few checks

Hi everyone, if it's not too late to join I'd love to have company on the journey! My DH & I have decided to leave it up to fate for the next year whether or not we have a third. Trying to be casual about it, but I already started tracking ovulation. 😂

In the TWW right now, but we only got the chance to BD once during ovulation so it's probably not going to be my month. Excited to see what this year has to bring, but a little apprehensive too. We had a chemical pregnancy between our two DC, at exactly the 6 week mark. It shook me a lot more than I expected, and I'm really hoping it's smooth sailing this time.

I scanned the thread before joining, and just to say @Thingscouldntgetanyworse I have 4 siblings and the one I'm probably closest too is 11 years older. They moved out when I was young, so as children we didn't have a relationship really, but as adults they're one of my best friends. ❤️

IThinkImThirtySomething · 09/01/2026 17:18

Hi all.
I would like to join the thread please.
we have 1 DS who has just turned 6 and are hoping to start ttc number 2 early summer on our holiday 😂
we’ve been on the fence about number 2 for so long (I have wanted another since DS was 3yo but DH wasn’t on board until recently so been talking about when best to start ttc!)

so whilst we aren’t actively trying just yet, it’s nice to read everyone’s journeys and hoping I can join in properly soon!

sending baby dust to you all xxx

The 2 week wait !!! The worst !! Hang in there -
I had my beta back today - 960 so that’s great news and scan on Tuesday ,,, hurry up next week ! X

EmCha · 09/01/2026 14:58

I’m in the dreaded two week wait! I think I’m 2DPO. I’m on cd17. Got my LH surge on cd14 so would’ve thought ovulation would be cd15 but my temp hadn’t risen yet on cd16 as it usually does. Got my temp rise today so defo ovulated just not sure on the exact day. I’m potentially only 1DPO! Going to try hard to distract myself this time around but I do have to go for a progesterone blood test next week so fingers crossed my numbers are good.

Hi ladies, I'm going to join here, I'm 1-2 DPO. I already have symptoms...I know its probably in my head. Previous three attempts were chemical and one missed miscarriage. This time doctors will put me on progesterone as soon as we get BFP. Fingers crossed for all that trying

Hi, welcome! Sorry to hear of your struggles. I’m no expert but I’ve heard that a lot of people start progesterone around 3DPO as it helps sustain a potential pregnancy. Just thinking is it worth looking into starting it even before a BFP?

@RAP08 I believe around 6weeks now - I go for another beta tomo and nervous to see if it has doubled . I done another test today (to get rid of my last one) and got a dye stealer so I am sure things are progressing ok - but I do have quite a bit of pulling pinching feeling to my right side and lower back ache which is miserable- I’ll be fine if I know the baby is where it should be then I’ll know the rest is all just normal …
how is everyone getting on ? Anyone else testing this week or any symptom sharing ?? X

I'll be testing in 7 days. Its 3 dpo and I feel cramps, bladder pressure, frequent urination and a little nausea. I'm starting to think my ovu was earlier it's much to early for symptoms. How are you getting on?

RAP08 · 09/01/2026 09:07

@Tes004let is know how you get on! I used my last test yesterday 4weeks and 4days and it was still really strong. Will probably end up buying more but currently snowed in up in Aberdeenshire. A bit of pinching/pulling now and then but nothing major. First wave of nausea yesterday which I’m not looking forward to! I don’t get the really bad morning sickness but it feels that way sometimes. The bedside table snacks will be back in force soon I think!
