TTC 2026!

Hi everyone, I created the TTC 2025 thread but as we are heading into a new year, it only seems right to start a new thread. Anyone here going to be TTC in 2026? I started my journey earlier this year and after 9 months/cycles trying, I’m yet to see a positive test. Finding it difficult not to lose hope but hopefully 2026 will be our year. Would love to connect with others who are trying to conceive. It’s a tough journey but it helps to have a supportive group of women to chat to! ❤️ Good luck everyone, baby dust for 2026!

@memewa2 I can definitely see something. Worth trying again tomorrow with FMU!

Marvelftw · 21/01/2026 19:44

@Babyno21990 do you know the medication your sister was put on?

@EmCha Thank you! I think I recognise your name from some of the other trying threads, so sorry that we’re both still on this long journey. All the baby dust to both of us this year

@EmCha ah bless you, I’m on cycle 8 now and feeling the same! Remember how stressed I was once I passed that 6 month mark as people kept saying statically most people would have conceived by then. Not being able to have children was always a big fear of mine but you ever really expect it to be the case do you?

It’s so hard isn’t it? I hope we get our positives soon. ✨ I’m feeling better today. The first day of my cycle is always the hardest for me as it’s those two weeks of hoping that end so abruptly. I’ve got my head around it now though and ready to try again this month. Good news is that my progesterone level was good last month so at least I know that’s all okay. I just hope there aren’t any issues structurally with my tubes etc.

@EmCha aw I’m sorry to hear that 😢 my sister went through a year of trying and then she demanded that her thyroid be checked again and they told her that her levels were low, she went on the medicine and she got pregnant straight away. She also is trying for baby number 2 and struggling again and her doctor told her her thyroid levels were balanced. But she felt symptomatic of low levels so she researched a little more and was told that her numbers although borderline were still too low to conceive. So she was given an increased dosage of the medicine and she got pregnant last month, though it sadly ended in a chemical. Have you ever had your thyroid checked?xx

Hi thanks for sharing this and I’m sorry to hear about your sister’s chemical. Yes I have and my thyroid levels are normal. My ferritin however was only 18. I’ve got it up to 20 with iron tablets the last 6 weeks and hoping it will continue to raise. Wondering if that’s my issue.

@EmCha Oh, that sucks! I'm so sorry 🥺 Try not to think the worst - Chances are still very much in your favour. Fingers crossed next month is your month 🩷

EmCha · 21/01/2026 07:37

AF arrived today. Heartbroken. Genuinely feeling like I’m never going to see a positive. Cycle 10 now. 😭 ‘It’s normal for most couples to take up to a year’ but as I near that year mark I’m getting more and more scared. My worst fear was not being able to have children and I’m so scared it will be a reality.

@hopeful4usi had implantation bleeding at 9/10dpo. I thought my period was on its way. Started with brown coffee granual type then turned to a bright pale pink. I’m now 6+3weeks. Complete surprise.

hopeful4us · 20/01/2026 23:23

So I'm now wondering if 'AF' was actually implantation bleeding? Didn't have any experience of this with DD so looking for others who might be able to shed light.

Unsettled night sleep - later bedtime than usual for work reasons, awake at 5 with DD.
Cramps in the morning
Pinkish/brown - definitely more than what I would call spotting. Noticed first on wiping but seemed enough to call for panty liner. Texture similar to thick cm.

None of this that usual for the beginning of my AF. I get cramps and periods have always been quite light but there's been no real increase in quantity all day and usually I'd be expecting bright red by now.

Today was CD25 and between 9-11dpo (guestimate based on cm and app prediction). Very much aware I might be grasping at straws and it could hit me tomorrow but any thoughts?

Babyno21990 · 20/01/2026 12:06

Today’s test and was really worried that they were getting lighter but I think one of the tests was slightly faulty. I’m hoping this sticks 🙏

@hopeful4usoh how annoying! But good to have more knowledge! I’ve got my booking in appointment on Friday and will hopefully book an early scan then aswell. 6+2weeks today and annoyingly heartburn seems to be the main symptom!

hopeful4us · 20/01/2026 08:09

AF arrived for me this morning (& just as I'd mustered the courage to test - how brutal). Feeling pretty gutted but at least I have some more data - a shorter cycle than expected with earlier ovulation. Fingers crossed for February

Myrosetintedstory · 19/01/2026 23:21

@EmCha Oh, bless you. Fingers crossed you get your BFP on Wednesday! All of your symptoms sound really promising

Myrosetintedstory · 19/01/2026 23:20

@LeafCorner I'm definitely going to do that, thank you!

Myrosetintedstory · 19/01/2026 23:19

Tes004 · 18/01/2026 21:21

@Myrosetintedstory I used these for a while and switched to the easy at home / I then used cb when I had an obvious dark line and it always confirmed - I’ve known many of ladies who struggled on the cb - I also tested in the afternoons which were always better for me - good luck to you

That's really helpful, thank you. I'm going to gently assume I missed my peak and start fresh next month. Thank you so much for responding!

Memewa2 · 19/01/2026 17:42

@Babyno21990 aaah that's a positive it even has colour to it🙌👏👏👏👏👏

Babyno21990 · 19/01/2026 16:44

@Memewa2 I did another test today and I definitely think this is positive. Also felt sick this morning and having bad insomnia 🤣 I’m hoping I don’t have sleepless nights for very long!

Excited for you @EmCha. Do you think you’ll test at all or just wait?

I’m going to wait and if it’s not arrived by Wednesday then I think I will test. I just can’t imagine it being positive though so I’m scared. 😭

LeafCorner · 19/01/2026 12:23

@Myrosetintedstory I use the clear blue advanced and the easy @ home strips. I find the strips good too because you can test twice a day, which is helpful post loss/chemicals etc. This month I’ve had strange results with my clearblue so it’s been good to have the back up of the test strips.

It could just be that you missed your peak. Like others have said, testing in the early afternoon usually gives good results.

EmCha · 19/01/2026 11:30

I’m 12dpo with period due today and I’m far too scared to test! Right now I have hope and if I see a negative it’ll all come crushing down again and I can’t cope with it. My boobs are so sore and I don’t have the heavy cervix feeling that I usually get before my period so I’m really hoping this might be the month. With 8 months of constant negatives though it feels unlikely and I don’t have the strength to look at another negative test.

Long-time lurker but finally posting as I'm struggling to find much on the Clearblue 2 peak days ovulation tests and hoping someone may be able to help! 🙏🏻

I had a chemical pregnancy last month and have been getting negative 'O' results on digital ovulation tests since I started testing on CD11. I'm now CD22 and still getting negatives which is really disheartening (and expensive too!).

I had EWCM on CD19 followed by quite obvious ovulation cramps on CD20, so was expecting a smiley but it hasn't shown up yet. I did notice the line on Friday's test is considerably darker though (photo attached if I can figure out how!), and wondering if perhaps I missed my peak or if my light baseline (which has been more prominent throughout the month, perhaps due to leftover hormones from last month?) has caused the digital device to overlook a positive?

I'm an avid overthinker so just looking for some reassurance if anyone has had a similar experience? I'm desperate to be pregnant and trying not to worry that I haven't ovulated. Any information would be hugely appreciated 🩷 TIA

What time of day do you test? I heard after 10am is better than first thing and around 2pm for best chance.
