TTC 2026!

Hi everyone, I created the TTC 2025 thread but as we are heading into a new year, it only seems right to start a new thread. Anyone here going to be TTC in 2026? I started my journey earlier this year and after 9 months/cycles trying, I’m yet to see a positive test. Finding it difficult not to lose hope but hopefully 2026 will be our year. Would love to connect with others who are trying to conceive. It’s a tough journey but it helps to have a supportive group of women to chat to! ❤️ Good luck everyone, baby dust for 2026!

This is so helpful. My ferritin is 32 in recent bloods and GP has just said everything looks normal, do you need to be prescribed the ferrous sulphate? Thank you.

It’s frustrating with ferritin because of how big the range is. When it’s low, doctors don’t seem to care. A lot of GPs don’t acknowledge the link between it being low and fertility so you have to really advocate for yourself. I asked to be prescribed it and thankfully they did. However, it was cheaper to buy over the counter at the pharmacy but they still wanted to see my prescription before giving it to me. The higher you can get it, the better. 32 is still quite low. When people go through IVF they like it in at least the 50s I believe so defo try get on it if you can. 😊

Hey thanks for creating the thread. TTC #1 since November last year, did fall pregnant earlier this year but unfortunately lost the baby. We’ve been trying for 7 cycles now without success. Really really hoping 2026 is our year, 2025 was so hard for a lot of reasons.

@RibenaCocktail One thing that I found works really well is if you post a screenshot of ingredients to chat gpt and ask it to analyse for fertility purposes it will tell you what’s good about it and if it’s lacking anything. I’m on some pills by Equi London which are reallt
good.

One thing I recommend doing is some general blood tests to check your thyroid and iron levels, particularly ferritin. I have low ferritin - 18, the range is 10 to 291 so I’m on the low end yet still classed as normal! From my research, any level under 30 is linked to fertility issues so best to get on iron supplements sooner rather than later. I’ve been on ferrous sulphate tablets for a month now and so wish I’d realised earlier in my journey!

Rather than a fertility supplement where everything is in low doses, I take things separately. I’m on folic acid with vitamin d3, coq10 200mg, omega 3 and then of course my ferrous sulphate.

Hoping to start TTC in April after 2 previous losses (haven't been in a good place physically or mentally since the losses so giving myself till April to loose some weight and adapt a healthier lifestyle) currently have no living kids and I am very heartbroken and really longing for a baby xx will be nice to have others to check in with 💓

hopeful4us · 28/12/2025 19:14

Thanks for creating @EmCha I'd love to join you all. DH and I have just started ttc#2 (DD is 9 months). Currently on the CD2 having had implant removed on 4th Dec. Sending you hope for 2026 ✨

@RibenaCocktail Congratulations for your wedding, how exciting! I conceived DD just after I got engaged - I think it was all the love and joy in the air. Fingers crossed for you xx

@MadeWithL0ve wow that sounds like a tough journey, sending you strength for 2026

There are 8 years between my 2DC. 2 year old and 10 year old.

We wanted a 3-4 year gap so we would get quality time with both DC. 1 ectopic and miscarriage before DC1 and another 2 miscarriages before DC2. We had breaks in trying, times we were just seeing what happened and phase of activity trying.

It will happen for you 🙂

I hope so I had ectopic 5 years ago and another last year which resulted in a tube removal and I have had 8 miscarriages also .so it feels like a second child is not on my side

I'm currently 8dpo roughly, I had taken a break from ttc and just letting it happen if it does, no more tracking, stressing and obsessing over it. It's been 9 years of ttc #2 so we will see what happens. Hoping 2026 is our year but who knows.

Forgot to add - it will be our first

RibenaCocktail · 27/12/2025 19:49

Hi all! I’ll be joining you all after my wedding in March, hope it’s ok if I follow the chat early for advice, and company 😊

My first ovulation/ TTC period falls on my honeymoon a few days after my wedding - I didn’t plan it that way! Just happens to be!

However, I’ll be 37, so trying not to get too excited as I am aware it may be a rocky road ahead. Trying to stay positive 🙏🏽 but realistic 😞

I’ve bought his and hers pre-conception vitamins which we are starting next week (Wild Nutrician) - not sure if anyone has used these before with positive success?

GreenApple121 · 27/12/2025 19:39

Hello!
I am hoping to re-start our TTC journey end of this month and into 2026.
TTC for second child, started trying around April and fell pregnant on cycle 5, but very sadly ended in an early MMC a few months ago. I then wanted a break from it all for a couple months and now feeling more ready to re-start again and see how it goes! Going into my fertile window next week!
wishing you best of luck with it as well!

Ziggy30 · 27/12/2025 19:30

This was the first thread that came up on my mumsnet feed. Maybe it’s a sign. Trying to convince DH for baby number 3 🫣
