TTC 2026!

Hi everyone, I created the TTC 2025 thread but as we are heading into a new year, it only seems right to start a new thread. Anyone here going to be TTC in 2026? I started my journey earlier this year and after 9 months/cycles trying, I’m yet to see a positive test. Finding it difficult not to lose hope but hopefully 2026 will be our year. Would love to connect with others who are trying to conceive. It’s a tough journey but it helps to have a supportive group of women to chat to! ❤️ Good luck everyone, baby dust for 2026!

@GreenApple121 I had no more tests .. going this afternoon to get one but I can’t help but feel scared - I know the test will give me a proper answer but I just haven’t been this close in so long - no sign of af - I just keep thinking I’ve read so much about chemicals and maybe this is one - trying to hold faith and positive thinking - keep popping to loo to see if I’m bleeding .. finding it all a bit much tbh and it’s such a lovely journey when you only have oh and mumsnet

Totally get that! But your tests were still v early at 10-11 DPO so its quite normal not to see a strong line yet?
best of luck for when you’re ready to test! It can certainly feel lonely at times, but you’re not alone and so many of us here ❤️

Sorry to hear you’re feeling this way! It can be such a tough journey. How long have you been trying?

We have been trying on and off for a year now, i also have vaginismus, ttc naturally can be a little difficult, however working with dialators is really helping. The fertility clinic I am with have handed me cathators to use through my fertile week, if I’m unable to try naturally! We will be going down the IVF route in March if no luck 🥹❤️

@Tes004 Any news on your tests? Keeping fingers crossed for you!

Im a bit confused this cycle - usually cycles very regular and have clear ovulation symptoms - EWCM few days before and have ovulation pains around day 15.
Had my day 21 progesterone checked last month and was good (54).
but so far this cycle don’t seem to have any ewcm or pains? Although had a bit of pulling lower abdomen on the side but way earlier in cycle like day 11/12? I am now CD 15
could I have ovulated early? Or just a month with little symptoms?
wish I had used OPKs now haha

Morning all!

I am praying we all get our BFP’s!

I am around 3DPO and I feel no symptoms. I feel really deflated, I don’t even bleed or spot, unless my period arrives. I have never seen a single positive or a chemical pregnancy. I just don’t know if my body is works the way it should to conceive, if this makes sense?

I am 35 with a low AMH, apparently that doesn’t mean your egg count is low, it’s to do with the quality? I had a fertility check done privately, nothing seems concerning and my womb looks healthy. My husbands sperm test was strong, so there is a natural feeling that I am the issue..

Is there anyone else going through this, where they feel nothing but healthy and it doesn’t seem to be working? 💔

Hello, thought I'd join! We're TTC number 3, this is our second cycle and AF is due in 8 days so I'll probably test early next week! We're 40/42 so on the older side 🫣 Thought we were Two and Through but turning 40 has changed my mind, and maybe it would be nice to have one last baby 🤞

Hi ladies - I’ve been trying for well over a year - I got my day 2 and 22 checked last month and they were pretty good so I done some tests but I’m so worried they are not as dark as they should be. They are either 10-11dpo first one taken fmu the 2nd 7 hours later and the last the following morning . But also checked with the ic blue strip and was completely white -
anyone had experience with this ? I’ve had evaps before and never had them back to back - also think the last one I took shows progression but worried I maybe just wishful thinking - seen many others with much darker lines at this stage

I definitely see the second line! 10 and 11 dpo is still very early. Could you take a digital to confirm? Or wait 48 hours and test again. Fingers crossed for you!

That’s sooo frustrating!! If it’s the GP it should be possible to get through to them and explain? And hopefully they can call back again? (I work for NHS and there tends to be a response if people kick off a bit 😅)

I tried calling the surgery but reception closed at 6.30pm so there was no one to speak to. Will call them tomorrow but the frustration I feel has brought me to tears! I just feel like we aren’t getting anywhere. 😣

Oh ladies I’m so upset this evening! Finally got a telephone GP appointment for my partner so he can hopefully get a semen analysis done. I’ve been anxious about it all day hoping they approve it all so we can get some answers. We sat by the phone waiting, never called. Half an hour passed so we checked the NHS app only to find out it said ‘failed encounter’ on his notes. There was no missed call, no attempted call, nothing. We were literally waiting. I’m so upset. I bet it will be ages until they can offer him another appointment. I feel like this is an awful sign of what’s to come, just fighting the NHS for help and having to wait so long for any support. 💔

Hey all, planning to start TTC #2 in March/April after a few months of healthier living. Our first was conceived first try but I'm now 40 and my cycles are getting shorter so I'm a bit worried my time is up. I've also ordered CoQ10 after a bit of research.

Sending lots of luck and positivity to everyone trying and sorry to read that it's been a rough road for some xx

I have been TTC for the last 6 months, I am 35 with low AMH. It hasn’t been easy, but I hope I get there soon! I am currently ovulating and I have hit ‘O Day’ (we have done the deed) over the last few day, but quite unsure of something. I did an LH strip an hour away and the line has become less darker, is it still worth trying today?

Definitely no harm in trying one more day! Do you take your basal body temperature to confirm ovulation? Soon as my temp has risen, I know I’m out my fertile window and can stop trying haha.

Hello!

Which COQ10 do you take? Is this Ubiqunol?

Thank you!

Ubiquonol is best but it’s way more expensive so I have ubiquinone instead and taking 200mg. It’s from Holland and Barratt. Went with their own brand. Got a really good deal in the Black Friday sale and got 6 months worth!

I think 10dpo I stopped tracking this month just going off symptoms ect which I know isn't accurate I wanted a more laid back month on the run up to Christmas, plus the last time I stopped stressing over it I fell pregnant it ended in an ectopic though

How's everyone feeling, is anyone in there Tww?

I’m not quite there yet - waiting to ovulate later this week, either Thursday or Friday!
How about you?

One thing I recommend doing is some general blood tests to check your thyroid and iron levels, particularly ferritin. I have low ferritin - 18, the range is 10 to 291 so I’m on the low end yet still classed as normal! From my research, any level under 30 is linked to fertility issues so best to get on iron supplements sooner rather than later. I’ve been on ferrous sulphate tablets for a month now and so wish I’d realised earlier in my journey!

Rather than a fertility supplement where everything is in low doses, I take things separately. I’m on folic acid with vitamin d3, coq10 200mg, omega 3 and then of course my ferrous sulphate.

Hello!

I’m so sorry about your losses. 💔

Coq10 is meant to be amazing! Proven to improve fertility rates. Good to get your partner on it too. My partner and I have been taking it for around a month now. Apparently starts to help after 3 months of taking. I’ve done so much research as just so desperate to be a mum too! 2026 will be our year. ❤️

Edited

Thank you so much! We had both been taking a general conception multivitamin at the time but I think the recommendations on this thread to take the more important ones in higher doses may be a better idea as when I look at the multivit now everything is quite low dose.
After the losses I stopped taking everything including Folic Acid as I just was not in a good place and couldn't think of anything fertility/conception related but I am giving myself 3 months now of healthy eating, exercise, meditation, yoga and vitamins in the hope that it will help us to conceive and more importantly for us to have a baby that sticks 🤞 I want to reduce my stress levels as Ive been quite stressed since the losses.
The very best of luck on your journey too and yes 2026 will definitely be our year xx

Thank you so much. Ill speak to my GP and check if they will prescribe it for me. Will try to increase it naturally too if I can, Im not a big red meat eater but will aim to get it higher. I have had 1 chemical pregnancy at 5 weeks and 1 mmc at 10 weeks so I am totally desperate for things to work out next time. I am longing to become a mam, like so many of us. It is a sad journey but I hope 2026 will bring all of us some good luck. If you have any other tips in regard to bloods/supplements or anything else I would greatly appreciate it as my GP hasn't said much at all and sometimes the Internet gives conflicting advice x

It’s frustrating with ferritin because of how big the range is. When it’s low, doctors don’t seem to care. A lot of GPs don’t acknowledge the link between it being low and fertility so you have to really advocate for yourself. I asked to be prescribed it and thankfully they did. However, it was cheaper to buy over the counter at the pharmacy but they still wanted to see my prescription before giving it to me. The higher you can get it, the better. 32 is still quite low. When people go through IVF they like it in at least the 50s I believe so defo try get on it if you can. 😊

Lovely to have so many of you on the thread already! I’m so sorry to hear about the losses some of you have experienced. Sending lots of love and baby dust to you all!

I’m feeling really low at the moment. AF arrived on Christmas Eve after tricking me being one day late. I was so hoping for a Christmas miracle so struggling a bit this month. Hoping cycle 9 will be the one! 🤞🏼
