2WW-ers - anyone due around June 21st want to wait together?

cabbagepatchkid · 10/06/2008 11:59

I am due between June 21st and June 28th. Will be on holiday most of that time though - am trying to debate whether to take test stick with me. If due 21st then probably didn't BD at right time, if it's a 35 day cycle though I will have.

Great to wait with you...

I tested yesterday and it was a BFN although I;m not due till either tomorrow or Monday so I wasn't too surprised by the result. What's bothering me though is that the symtoms I had, mainly the sore boobs, huge appetite, seems to have disappered No crampy or backache pains which I would usually have pre AF

imaginarybluelines · 20/06/2008 18:23

Cherub Weird question Alert!! Can I save FMU and use it at the end of the day if period not come then? Or does it lose some of its potency if nopt so fresh? What a lovely question for you! Would rather not waste a test first thing to then get my period 20 mins later - which is bound to happen!

cherubtastic · 20/06/2008 18:10

I personally think that testing on your due date with FMU is very sensible

imaginarybluelines · 20/06/2008 11:18

notsonewanymore it's so hard isn't it! It's the not knowing that just drives me mad. And then the fact that if I test early, maybe.. just maybe... but then nooooooo!!

Queenie I think just syptom spotting and waiting can put you in the worst mood. I have slept really rubbishly for the last few nights and am sure it's all down to feeling so unsettled. Well - I'llknow soon. If it's not my month, I am definitely going to handle things differently next month. No early testing and try and relax a bt. Otherwise I might really go mad! And I guess obsessing about it all can't really help my body much either.

Cherub can feel myself crumbling already. I am allowing myself totest tomorrow eveing I think if no sign of period (or is that really silly and a waste of a test if not morning wee?)

cherubtastic · 20/06/2008 10:06

Aww ladies, sorry to hear af might be coming but it's never really over till she's actually here.

I could actually cope with the 2ww as there was always that hope and not knowing. What I hated most was between af and ov as that seemed to drag like mad and was a completely pointless bit of the cycle which imo could have been much shorter!!!

Can't believe you're holding out until Sun IBL - I'm very impressed

queenie1 · 20/06/2008 09:33

IBL - good luck for sunday. You asked when I was due - not actually sure. Probably sometime between Monday and Wednesday. So guess I should hold off until at least early next week.

I'm in such a bad mood today. Fed up of ttc, fed up of waiting and fed up of symptom spotting. Going to a wedding on saturday and guess, if PG, should stay off the booze. Fed up of that too when PG never properly materialises.

Not so new - sorry to hear AF looks on its way. Way I'm feeling, think mine might be too.

NotSoNewAnymore · 20/06/2008 09:25

I caved an tested again but it was negative. I think AF might be on its way as temperature dropped this morning and i have some pink cm....I am trying to stay positive and not get too disappointed. There is always next month!!

but imagineryblueline I know exactly what you mean about not wanting to do another month like this....I think that is what disappoints me the most. Not that I am probably not pregnant this month but that I now have to go through the 2ww stress all over again!

imaginarybluelines · 20/06/2008 08:38

Only one more day to go until the 21st for all of us due then. Fingers crossed! When's everyone testing? I'm going to wati till Sunday. I think!

cakesandchocolate · 19/06/2008 18:19

congrats to you cherub - hope you bring us all luck!

imaginarybluelines · 19/06/2008 17:58

Big congratulations to you Cherub!! Hang around and make us all lucky though. Were you testing with first response?

Queenie - when is your period actually due. Mine is Sat - but it might not come anyway as I am thinking my cycle might be irregular due to breast feeding.

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Needed to do that. This weeks waiting has driven me absolutely crazy. feeling sooooo achy and crampy for the last 3 days.

Argggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Why oh why do pregnancy tests exist? Apart from to tempt and torment poor, mad, vunerable me.

How am I ever going to make it to Saturday? And beyond? I can't do this for another month!

Queenie - that was weird about the test. When will you test again?

Cabbagepatchkid - don't take a test if you are strong enough to not crave one wheilst you are there! They are evil. evil I tell you.

queenie1 · 19/06/2008 16:26

okay. weird.

that inconclusive test from earlier (no control line, hazy results window like c and c had) - well checked again this afternoon and the control line has come up (albeit very thin) but so has a PG line (again very thin).

Know enough to know this means nothing. but still taking it as a potential sign.

Cam - sorry to hear AF got you.

queenie1 · 19/06/2008 10:19

cherub - great news! But put the tests away now. You ARE PG!!

CandC - sickness sounds very promising. Lets keep fingers crossed. On weird inconclusive test, same happened to me this morning! (which also means a confession that, yes, despite being CD 22 or 24 I tested again )

IBL - like me, testing far too early.

I have now promised myself I won't touch another test until next Wednesday if AF has not arrived. Now just to stick to the promise (not likely!).

Still have sore-ish boobs but nothing else. keep dreaming about baby's but they are always someone else's. convinced myself that this is not my month (and scared that it never will be - do any of you feel like this?).

NotSoNewAnymore · 19/06/2008 09:39

Congrats Cherub!! That is fantastic...

Cam so sorry about AF, but well done on having such a positive attitude.

Everyone else...I am also wondering about nauseus being a symptom. For the last few days I have woken at 3 / 4 am feeling queasy and can't brush my teeth without gagging. I remember it so clearly from my first pregnancy - but am not sure that it started QUITE so soon!!

Alibobster · 19/06/2008 09:10

Congratulation Cherub, that is wonderful news xxx

cherubtastic · 19/06/2008 09:05

Take it!!! I'm not due until Sat and there's no way that I could wait even until due day to test - the thought of not being able to poas fills me with fear Imagine not knowing whilst you're away! I would constantly be wondering and not be able to relax and enjoy the hols. If you take one and it is -ive at least you know then and can concentrate on the hol and if +ive - celebrate!!!

I did a FR this morning and got a nice pink line - yay!

cabbagepatchkid · 19/06/2008 08:58

Am packing bag now and trying to decide whether to include test!

Won't be on email on homliday so good luck all and hope to read of some BFPs when I get back.

CBK x

Can't understanding retesting after a positive? My best friend (29wks with 1st after 1 yr ttc, hurrah!) tested 12 more times after first bfp and some of those after all ok scan at 8 wks!!

cherubtastic · 18/06/2008 20:25

Sorry the witch got you this month Cam75 but great attitude.

I've got af type cramps today and have felt sick ALL day, eaten sod all I will test tomorrow morning - and every morning for the next 6 weeks if it definately is +ive

I'm sure that early sickness is a sign C&C - I what else explains nausea at set times, smell retching etc (dont answer that - I'm living in my fluffy bubble of optimism) I started on 7/8dpo too.

Good luck to everyone testing tomorrow
x

cakesandchocolate · 18/06/2008 19:50

Hi, does anyone have any info on early sickness - have felt nauseus today (8dpo) and retched - once over a particularly stinky nappy and another stinky bin!
Just seems way too early to feel sick? All in my mind maybe?
cherubtastic - you are not alone in the lack of willpower department - I tested (BFN) 2 days ago and again today (weird inconclusive, the control line almost not there and the results window all hazy.)
Am resisting the 2nd in the pack. I know I will cave...

tomtum · 18/06/2008 19:37

Can't face doing a test because I'm sure it'll be a BFN - don't feel pregnant enough, if you know what I mean. Sore boobs, but nothing else to speak of!

Cam75, sorry about your AF. Acupuncture sounds good - I had a friend who says it worked for her.

imaginarybluelines · 18/06/2008 18:47

That's very promising Cherub. Are you going to test again tomorrow? Looks like a positive though!
Queenie1, I too tested yesterday and BFN but am also telling myself it was too early. I was CD24 (I think). Still holding out hope. Have run out of tests and money now, so am forced to wait to see if period comes or not on Sat. May then retest on Sun if not. (Bet I crumble and buy more tests sooner. I seem to have no will power at all. It would be so much easier and less stressful if home pregnancy tests didn't exist. Or if I was banned from buying them!)
Cam - I think you definitely have the right attitude - will probably be seeing you on here same time next month!

How's the symptom spotting going? I am still having crampy pains - had them all day today. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

cam75 · 18/06/2008 12:47

hi all,
just to let you know that damn af made an appearance!!!! I can't beleive it but i am not going to get upset either.
I have just started my clomid today so here we go agagin. Plus i think i may have so acupunture to help.....

i didn't even have time to buy a pregnacy test (wink)

queenie1 · 18/06/2008 12:19

yes i just tested too (CD 21 or 23 - not sure!) and BFN. Not so New, I too am telling myself it was too early and continuing to hope...

NotSoNewAnymore · 18/06/2008 12:13

Hi,
Sorry I haven't posted recently but am traveling on business, a real interference with my Mumsnet addiction!!

Cherubtastic I temp, and apparently you sometimes get a large dip in temperature between 5 and 12 days after ovulation if an egg implants. If your temperatures go up again after that dip it COULD be a sign of pregnancy. Of course it isn't always a sign....but I am clinging to my hope Good luck for your FR HPT

tomtum My dip was a 5dpo!!! How exciting. Fingers (and toes) crossed for both of us.

I am not sure how many other symptoms I am imagining but I have been really nauseous lately and SOOOOO thirsty. I can't stop drinking water. I caved in and did a test yesterday (the things you do when bored in bland hotel rooms) but it was BFN. I am telling myself that it is too early. (it was 9dpo...cd23)

Hope everyone is doing well and hanging in there.....

queenie1 · 18/06/2008 11:41

Whoops. In my (premature) excitment counted days wrong. If AF counts from start of brown blood, I'm CD 23. If AF counts from start of full on bleed, I'm CD 21. So I guess too early to test???
