Thinking of you @Taysonic hope today didn’t pass too slowly

Fullofconfusion · 26/02/2026 16:57

@Taysonicwonderful!! Tentative congratulations and I hope that the progesterone is prescribed soon and does its job.

I have bloods and eventually HCG was 11. I then tested negative on a urine test a few days later. I feel bloated and uncomfortable so suspect AF on the way

ttcnumerodos · 26/02/2026 16:10

So chuffed you got your result this morning @Taysonic - hope the fertility team get back to you soon! x

Allmywishcometrue · 26/02/2026 14:06

@Taysonic I know the feeling. Waiting for an email back feels like every second is an hour. Can you maybe call them?

LuckyDuck93 · 26/02/2026 13:56

Look after yourself @Taysonic this must be exhausting for you!
Keeping everything crossed x

Taysonic · 26/02/2026 13:30

Just anxiously refreshing my inbox every two minutes waiting for a reply from the fertility team. But, at the same time, don't feel I can afford to get my hopes up that this time will end any differently.

Jesus, what a minefield of emotions.

Janey3090 · 26/02/2026 11:20

@Taysonic so pleased you got the digital confirmation you were so hoping for. Keeping everything crossed for you and this little one xx

LuckyDuck93 · 26/02/2026 09:02

@lepoissonM @Blondepeach congratulations, its so reassuring to see everything is ok isn't it!

@Taysonic I logged on this morning hoping this would be what I saw!! Tentative congratulations, I hope they get that progesterone prescribed quickly for you and that this little one is very sticky ❤

Allmywishcometrue · 26/02/2026 08:54

@Taysonic That is so great!

Blondepeach · 26/02/2026 08:31

@TaysonicYes, holding hope is all you can do lovely 🤞🏼💕

overwork · 26/02/2026 08:07

cautiously optimistic it is then, congratulations!

Taysonic · 26/02/2026 07:29

Your username is really apt @Fullofconfusion -definitely sounds like a confusing position to be in. Can fully understand and know what it's like to desperately want to know what's happening with your body following a loss, but I do think it's really difficult to know with any degree of certainty. As hard and as difficult as it is, time will tell. Remind me, did you have any blood work done to assess hcg levels? Do you know if they're down to zero yet?

And great news @lepoissonM - I bet it's such a relief!! Hopefully there's even more reassurance at the next scan.

And then me...

Well, your positive thoughts worked. We have digital confirmation. I've emailed the fertility team already and hoping to get started on progesterone as soon as possible. Still bracing myself for this not to work... But, I can only try, right?

Oh how fabulous @lepoissonM and @Blondepeach

Fullofconfusion · 25/02/2026 20:25

@Taysonicwe’re all with you. Remember 12 dpo is super early so the lines won’t be super dark yet. I’ve got everything crossed for you.

@Blondepeachthat’s good news. I think the early scans can help you feel much more reassured so that’s good that you’ve been offered them.

@lepoissonMgreat news for you too.

I’m just spending some time with my little boy this week. It’s half term here. I’m still not feeling great mentally but I think the company is helping a bit. We’ve had a full day today and same again tomorrow so that’ll keep my mind busy.

I also have no idea what’s happening with my body. I miscarried on 4th Feb. I had EWCM on Saturday but LH tests not showing much. Lots of cramps yesterday (like bad enough that I was doubled over) but no sign of AF yet. So I have no idea where I am in my cycle or if I’ve ovulated or not. I suppose it’s helpful in that I can’t obsess over how many DPOs I am and if I should be testing 😂 looking for the bright side here!

lepoissonM · 25/02/2026 19:12

Keeping everything crossed for you @Taysonic🤞🏻

Some good news from me- had an early scan today and all is well so we are moving in the right direction!

Blondepeach · 25/02/2026 16:10

Ah @TaysonicI really do have everything crossed for you, hopefully those tests continue to darken. It’s reassuring that the fertility team have said they will give you progesterone too 💕 keep us updated.

My update is that the recurrent miscarriage consultant knows that I’m pregnant and that my scan showed it’s where it should be. They want me to have another scan at around 8 weeks, so that’s booked for the 9th March. I definitely could not have waited for another at 10-12 weeks. It’s still such early days so I’m trying to be really positive but it’s so scary. I also have had waves of nausea now, had to tell my manager as I was not able to go into the office today - my commute is nearly two hours, so I didn’t want to tell them so early but felt like I needed a proper excuse (they are quite strict with us doing our in office days).

overwork · 25/02/2026 16:06

We’re all hoping for those words with you!

Taysonic · 25/02/2026 15:49

Okay, need a little bit of a handhold in advance of tomorrow morning...

Had an email back from the fertility team to say that if I continue to test positive tomorrow morning, they will prescribe progesterone straight away. I've had a few more positive tests today (still fairly faint in my opinion for being 12dpo but it's easy to compare on here) so I'm feeling fairly optimistic tomorrow will be positive too but just... it would mean a lot to me if it showed up on a digital tomorrow. To have the words in writing will make me believe it more.

I can't imagine this pregnancy will last... but I'll damn sure do all I can to try.

Giving you a handhold!

Remember lines can be stronger for others - it's all down to the day you implanted. I've read that implantation can be often be 10dpo, which in that case it makes sense that the lines are still faint as it takes time to build. The fact there is a line gives a lot of hope though so try and hold on to that.

Really really really hope it works out for you, and you get to see that magical word on your digital tomorrow 💜xx

Yes I think that’s really wise, and everything that you are doing now is putting you into a better place for the future anyway.
I remember another of the ‘older’ Mums who got pregnant a few months ago saying how all the extra sex had really made her and her partner reconnect and have some fun. Sadly we’re a world away from in this house, it just feels like another slog to do to get to the goal, so the next thing I’d like to work on is getting some spontaneity and fun back into our sex life, not just being focussed on conceiving from it

100%! I think it helps that my partner is younger (🤭 🤭 🤭) but making sex feel special and a chance to bond and not just linked to ovulation is the key when it becomes a long TTC journey. We were lucky this month that my fertile window was over Valentines so was a perfect excuse for a new lingerie set!

I think I read somewhere to plan something special for one of the attempts during the fertile window to help keep things feeling fresh.

That all sounds like amazing progress in the right direction @overwork - something ChatGPT said to me yesterday (apologies if all the water in the world runs out, I've been heavily chatting to AI this week!) said about thinking about trying to conceive as moving towards pregnancy and preparing for it rather than a black and white 'it worked/it didn't work' mentality. A way of reframing any negatives into positives I suppose: learning more, preparing your body physically, preparing mentally... Sounds like everything you're doing aligns with that too.

overwork · 24/02/2026 09:53

Oh my goodness, that would be wonderful news! I had my bloods done for the GP this morning, not sure what exactly, I think this one is thyroid and blood sugars etc. Got my pelvic scan booked… for April Confused Acupuncturist said last night that things were feeling better and I do think that some of that changes I have put in place are having an effect on my general wellbeing, my energy which has been through the floor ever since I had my first, is starting to come back, some of my aches and pains are less achy. So even if I don’t ever get pregnant, atleast I’ll be healthier!

Allmywishcometrue · 24/02/2026 09:20

@Fullofconfusion I am so glad you could take some extra time off, you totally should focus on treating yourself. Sending big hugs your way.

@Taysonic I think that it's normal, clearblue tests take more time. I'm keeping eveything crossed for you.

Taysonic · 24/02/2026 08:47

@Iris2024 that is really gorgeous - thank you so much for sharing. It really resonates.

Im really glad you've given yourself some extra time @Fullofconfusion - is there anything we can do this week to help with the grieving process?

I'm still in limbo land... 11dpo today. And I think I've had a faint positive on a FRER. I don't usually use FRERs but bought some on a whim and a second line definitely came up within the time line. Took an Early Clear Blue digital at the same time but that said negative so... Just going to wait it out for 48 hours and see what Thursday brings.

I have emailed the fertility team to say what's happened and to ask if they'd need a more definitive positive test before beginning the progesterone.

Doesn't feel like a congratulations or a celebration is required yet... Just... Need time to go quickly this week!
